I stayed at a 10-bed dorm and there was ample space for everyone. Love the room as well. Location is perfect, you can walk to almost everything. Subway is just a minute or less walk from the hostel. Tram is a couple of minutes away as well. Bus stop is right in front. I love the building itself, very charming....

Friendly staff with great English welcomed us in. Our room was ready early which was appreciated. The room was very clean and well priced and there was a kitchen to use. We slept soundly and didn't notice any noises from the street or other guests. Hotel is close to transit and the line that takes you to the airport. Know...

Excellent, clean and quiet hostel in the city center. 2 blocks to the river. 4 blocks to clubs and nightlife. Great cafe and a grocery store on the corner. Everything is walkable. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at.

My trip to Budapest was short - just for one day and night. To choose this hostel it was a good choice. The hostel is located near the metro station (metro line leads to the bus 200E to airport), also there are many bars and restaurants in neighborhood. The staff was very kind and helpful. I enjoyed my staying at...

This place is great. It's one of the best hostels I've stayed in. It's right in the middle of Budapest in a very convenient location. The staff was always very helpful. The building was also beautiful. It's amazing when you walk into the building because it looks like it's abandoned, but then further inside is this wonderful hostel.

My stay at Maverick hostel was just fantastic! The room is the big, the beds all single so there are no awkward top bunk situations. The beds are also incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms are very modern and clean, and Wi-Fi is very good although you do have to reconnect now and then. I think what was best about my stay...

This was our favorite hostel of our whole trip. The staff is friendly, helpful and engaging. There was a professionalism about them that we had not encountered before. The building is special and beautiful having been a Hapsburg mansion in the past. Our set up was perfect because we had a common area that included a kitchen and a coffeemaker...

Maverick apartments /hostel were very helpful and friendly the room we got was out of this world. We had a view of the danube. I would highly recommend the maverick to anyone who is looking to go to budapest in the near future. Only one complaint. We did not have curtains in the living area where some of us slept...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
