Detailed Reviews
We stayed having driven across from Austria. The hotel provided masks and sanitising wipes but we felt very Covid safe in Budapest in general, with most places observing social distance.
The hotel was very friendly, it was conceirge parking on site for a small fee and they provided great facilities for our dog. The location means everything is walkable and you can have a view of the Danube from your room. It was great value for money and very cool design.

The hotel is a recent and very well designed structure just in front of the chains bridge. If you reserve a front room you will have a wonderful view on the bridge and the river.
The project of the rooms, with wash basin directly in the room (and not in the bathroom) create a very intimate and cozy setting.
Excellent breakfast.

I'm writing this review a few minutes after spending 4 nights at the Hotel Clark, as well as dining in their Bistro and Rooftop Bar.
First of all, the staff are one of a kind. After a long and stressful travel we were greeted by large smiles, a cold glass of champagne and chocolates. The staff took our luggages to the room and allowed us to enjoy the lounge area.
Reception and concierge staff were so kind and helpful with giving us information on where to go around the city, making sure we were happy and booking us transport whenever needed. Jombi and Bogy (apologies if I misspelled your names!!) especially took really good care of us - from the bottom of our heart, thank you for making our trip so memorable. The hotel has 2 amazing assets in both of you :)
The room was very comfortable, especially the beds. Temperature control was always great and the cleaning staff always ensured that the room was clean and stocked up on water and coffee.
Decor is so warm and welcoming, perfectly complementing the ambiance of the hotel.
Leo Rooftop offered tasty cocktails and great food options. We enjoyed it so much we went more than once :) Staff also made good recommendations for their specials.
Breakfast at the Leo Bistro was delicious - so many options from cold cuts, fresh bread and local pastries, pancakes, french toast and the more traditional options like eggs, bacon and sausages. I highly recommend trying out the breakfast.
Location was fine - unfortunately we visited when the bridge opposite was closed but getting round using public transport was quite efficient since there's a bus stop exactly outside the hotel.
Once again, I'd highly recommend this gem of a hotel. their staff are outstanding, and I have nothing but praise for everyone we met during our trip. Thank you for making it truly memorable. Should we come back to Budapest I will not look at any other hotel :)

During pandemic it was amazing to stay here, where the devoted staff made our lives easier.
Friendly prices, absolute hygiene, preordered and repacked food served just for you made it feel like I am at an oasis in a desert.
Well done guys and thank you!

Hotel Clark is one of the best hotels we've been to for the money and probably in our top 3 of hotels worldwide. The staff are fantastic, really well trained. The rooms although a little small are very tastefully furnished with a well stocked mini bar, complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates and water. The bathroom is very modern with translucent and opaque glass which may appear off putting but was fine with us as the bits that matter don't show! Nothing we've not seen before though! (But you can't see anyway.) Blackout curtains and proper sound proofing, you cannot hear a thing. The breakfast was really good with selection of hot and cold food, eggs, bacon, continental etc. Delicious. We had a water view room which fronts the road and Danube and bridge and was air conditioned. July was 34 degrees so very hot to walk around outside but our room was lovely and cool with soft pillows and lovely comfy Superking bed. The room was checked daily. The staff were attentive. We could not fault this hotel.
The roof top bar is an added bonus and one of the best bars we have been to in the world. And we've been fortunate enough to go to quite a lot with the companies we have worked for and our own private trips. Special shout out to Ben who was a fabulous waiter/barman, although all the staff there were fantastic. The views are to die for. My tip on the drinks would be just order what you know you like rather than the signature cocktails. Although Ben did suggest different 'cocktail of the day' shots to try which were very good. All the staff we asked about where to visit etc were exceptionally helpful. I think some have said on here that it's expensive but it's really not that bad. For a 'quality' city hotel bar in such a good location with such wonderful views, we thought it was very well priced. Around 14 Euro for a cocktail. We most definitely would go back and we very rarely think that. I'm not putting any photos or video here because I wouldn't want to spoil it for you. It's a 'Wow'.

We only have positive things to say about this hotel and it’s staff. We’ve chosen Clark Hotel for it’s fantastic location, beautiful views of the city and for its cool vibes. We enjoyed a delux room on the 7th floor with breathtaking views of the Buda Castle, House of Parliament, Danube and Chain Bridge (undergoing some renovations till 2023)
Our room was pure luxury with its own spacious balcony, a free standing bath overlooking the Danube and the famous Chain bridge. The king size bed was super comfortable. The room also had a separate wet room with a powerful shower in it and offered all amenities such as a fully stocked mini bar, safe, free wifi, air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee making machine etc. Plenty of cupboard space , light fixtures and a 48” flat screen too.
I would have liked a few more electrical sockets in the room but even that wasn’t such a big issue.
The place looks stylish with modern design throughout.
Hotel Clark’s staff is hands the most polite and helpful bunch we have come a cross. They go over and beyond to make sure you are having a nice time. On arrival, we got a super warm welcome and champagne. The suitcase was carried to our room while we enjoyed our bubbly and we also had a little surprise waiting for us in our room. Delicious macaroons and a bottle of champagne on ice.
If I could, I would give all of them a special shout out by name to make sure they get the recognition they deserve.
Like Bogi, who sorted a taxi for us and saw us out to it, making sure we got in the right one.
We definitely recommend Hotel Clark to stay with when in Budapest. We will choose this hotel again.
Thank you all for making our stay so special.
Until next time…

Arriving at the hotel, my wife and I were warmly welcomed by the front of house manager Maté Jambor and his staff. They took great care to make sure we were comfortable as we checked in, and offered a glass of champagne to relax in the very impressive lounge area of the hotel.
The hotel is very well positioned to access all parts of Budapest, and the interior of the hotel is nothing short of stunning. The very contemporary decor and modern fixtures and fittings, make a great impression when you arrive.
But it is the friendly and professional manner of the Hotel Clark people that help to make it a wonderful experience.
We were lucky enough to be offered an upgrade on our booking which we gratefully accepted. Another glass of champagne was offered while the final touches to the room were completed.
Our room 703 was on the seventh (top) floor of the hotel with superb views of the Danube and the 'Chain Bridge" that spans the river. In keeping with the decorative theme that features throughout the hotel, the room is extremely stylish, with a very large bed and standalone bath which looks out over a large terrace. The room had nice amenities such as a Nespresso machine, still and aerated water, and a complementary bottle of wine. The terrace is extremely spacious with two large clear moulded chairs and matching table, and an outdoor sofa. The views from the terrace are really lovely, with the Danube stretching before you and the Buda Castle on the hill at the back of the hotel.
We booked a table at the hotel's rooftop bar for that evening (recommended to book as it gets very busy), and enjoyed a few nightcaps before retiring to our sumptuous room.
Breakfast was in the ground floor restaurant, and offered both hot and cold choices of food which were all well presented, fresh, and appetising.
If I was to pick one thing that made this visit memorable, it would be the friendly and courteous members of staff. They are to be applauded for the engaging welcome we received, and the professional attention they paid to making our stay at the Hotel Clark very memorable. Well done Máté and colleagues!!
We will definitely return there, and would urge fellow travellers to choose this hotel.

As many of you know me and those that don't know that I will not provide a review with a bunch of fluff
The entrance is pristine nobody lives in the entrance I get that but to me it set the tone it wasn't overwhelming yet elegant clean well managed
The staff is by far excellent especially the manager of the hotel who is a Class Act and himself
Of the hundreds of the hotels I've ever stayed at this gentleman is by far a superior manager I would go even far as name him as the Director
Our room was more than what we expected
King size bed huge tub right in front of the window overlooking Budapest delicious high-end candies and champagne when we walked in the door
And the flowers they provided in the room were so beautiful and strong they're now in my living room and this is August yes we put them in the suitcase go ahead and laugh
Each and every time I called room service or room cleaning service they were there so fast I had to put my clothes on..
The terrorists overlooking Budapest that we had was one of the most awesome views I've ever seen
The rooftop restaurant they have especially the view such as my room it's incredible and very easy to book through the hotel it is a must see
When you want hot water you're going to get hot water and the air conditioning is so cold you can leave it on low leave the room come back a couple hours later and the champagne is still cool I like that
The breakfast is also a must it's absolutely one of the best I've ever had and I live two blocks away from a beautiful Resort on a beach which has been number one in Europe so far that has changed and I don't think I'm going to find anything better
The manager suggested eggs benedict I haven't had eggs Benedict in about 15 years Nobody Does it right... here they nail it
If the elevators important to you you might as well start thinking about Star Trek when you get in this one because that thing is fast and quiet I was on my 7th floor I didn't even know we moved
I highly suggest using the limousine service that you can find on the website pay a couple dollars more driving in luxury and casually paced not
150 km an hour in a beat up Toyota.
The gym is surprisingly perfect and it even has a hot sauna and free water.. not that faucet water stuff but actual Sparkling Waters in a glass bottle
A big shout out to the woman who cleaned our room if I had if I had people like her with her attention to detail I wouldn't have anything to worry about especially cleanliness and organization which is very critical to me
I'll be glad to answer anyone's questions this is a seven-star hotel in a five-star wrapper
For someone like me who travels so much to stop and do a review such detailed as this that ought to tell you something have a great life everybody and I hope to see you again in Budapest

I have stayed at the Hotel Clark on several occasions during the five-month period I have been working in Hungary, Even during the pandemic it has been an oasis of comfort whenever I visit Budapest. They take every measure to assure client well-being and the service is first rate. The views are really excellent and Budapest a night, as seen from the rooftop bar, is worth the stay alone. They have excellent food and the bar staff will give any mixologist in the city some stiff competition.

What we find important when staying in a hotel is:
_ Location
_ Soundproofed / quiet room
_ Dog friendly
_ Adults only
_ Charismaric common areas
_ Friendly staff
All the boxes were ticked in this hotel.
The location is amazing if you don’t want to be located right in the middle of the busy party district. But you are close enough to enjoy it at any time.. FYI - The brigde is closed for pedestrians at the moment but there are busses (16 & 105) right at the hotel to take you accross if youre not up for a little d-tour (depending on where you are going).
The rooms are small (this is not a secret) but they are cozy. Modern. Sexy. If you enjoy a room looking to the Duna/Chainbridge you get the luxurious big windows which give you an amazing view which totally compensates for the square meters.
When we arrived in the room a dogbed and bowl was waiting for us. Which is a very nice touch. The dog was also allowed in the rooftop bar, where they also offered the dog water. This sounds like a given, but is not in Hungary.. (though getting better).
The hotel is adults only. The rooftop bar (Leo) is not (understandable). Neither is the breakfast area. Which is for us, personally, a small minus point. In our expierence other adult only hotels turn away kids at the entrance.
The breakfast, lobby and groundfloor bar have a great feel to it. We hope to enjoy these areas more during our next visit. The rooftop bar is also an amazing area, and we enjoyed a very nice lunch there.
And finally, the staff. The women at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The valet service was also enjoyable, and punctual. All the staff members were thoughtful. It seemed that they communicated very well with each other to make sure we never had to repeat ourselves. We’d give them all a 5 out of 5.

Hi, I ordered Bolt taxi and it was around £20. They still use their local money (not euro). The ride took 35 min.
The only thing is the bride righ outside the hotel is closed, so you need to bus which luckily is right outside the hotel to go to other side of the town.
