Detailed Reviews
I had no booking for this accommodation but was walking around Margaret island and loved the place so much I stopped into the hostel, the amazing Edith and her colleagues were all extremely helpful and friendly with a very relaxed and safe feel to the place, it has all the facilities needed, showers for each room fridge and appliances a big spacious outdoor area with hammocks, chairs and foosball. The location is amazing with the island being beautiful itself and a roughly 15 min senic walk from hostel to either buda or pest. For a fully booked up places with a last min booking the price was unbelievably good. When I return to Budapest I will definitely stay here again.

It's a hostel , I was in the hostel for the second time in my life , but the apartments that I was booking burned down before my arrival . the receptionist is a pro , everything explained clearly (although I was very tired and not feeling well), allowed to leave things before check-in (and after check-out too ,although I didn't use it, but it was possible ), and she helped at night with the blanket , it smelled a lot of perfume and in the drawer apparently was not ventilated even after changing the linen , the receptionist had no problem giving me a new blanket)
Each room has its own toilet with shower and sink . our bathroom was very clean (shower towel ask at check-in , many do not take it- I asked , and I was given no problem) . in the kitchen has everything you need, even more (everything for cooking - pots, pans , plates, glasses , electric kettle , you could buy capsule coffee, as well as oil , sugar , salt, coffee , even saw some cereals and pasta, detergent ) .
There's a terrace. In the kitchen you can eat with a beautiful view of the Danube )) it must be cool in summer! I think there's even a mangal.
I'm not a hostel expert, but I'd suggest making rules -
1. Wash the dishes with detergents after you (they were available without problems)
2. Take off our shoes in the room at the entrance (our floor got dirty literally because of a couple of guests (and it's not summer there anyway, and Margit is a park , so they put earth and leaves directly into the room) , the others , including me had slippers and used them )
3. Do not use perfume in the room, after all, there will be a lot of people in a small area, someone like me may have an allergic reaction.
4. If a person comes - leaves at three , four, five o'clock in the morning - do not rattle ,do not slam the door (when entering the room by the way you can very not loudly close and open the door , as well as in the bathroom )do not shine a flashlight from the phone to everyone in the face ,but just turn on your personal light from the bed .
This does not say anything bad about the hostel, as it has all the conditions for comfort, but it is just that some guests do not respect others, or do not understand that they cause discomfort to others.
I really liked the hostel.
If you were to introduce additional rules - it would greatly improve guests' stay .
Also, there was a cool red cat )))) 🐱

Absolutely superb accommodation in the heart of Budapest. We could not have been more pleased to stay here! The location is fantastic, on an island in the Danube, which has fantastic amenities - bars and restaurants, a small zoo, water park, sports facilities, lovely green spaces to enjoy, and more. The hostel is above a lovely bar with great food, and many more nearby. There is also a great gelato shop next door! All seemed to close at a reasonable hour, after which it was very quiet, with no road noise (only electric vehicles are allowed on the island so there are some buses and taxis but very quiet) and we slept well. The hostel has a nice little kitchen, and a lovely roof terrace to enjoy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Towels were available from reception, too. It was hot when we visited (36C), and there was no air conditioning in the room, but a great fan and with that and the window open we slept well. Such excellent value for money - as a couple we got a double room with private bathroom and it was as good as any hotel. If we return to Budapest, we will definitely stay here again!

My stay at the hostel was great. I was sleeping in an 8-bed-dorm. The toilet and the shower are in the room but separated as two extra rooms which is very helpful with many people in a dorm room. That means that one can go to the toilet whilst the other can just brush their teeth in the shower room equipped with an extra sink.
The people I met at the hostel were mostly backpackers and the atmosphere was very friendly and open also with the staff. You can get into conversations quickly on the wonderful terrace they have.
In the common area/kitchen you can cook, have some tea/coffee and you can also refrigerate your groceries.

We stayed in the Hostel for a total of 4 days. The location on Margaret Island is great as you can quickly reach both sides of the city. The staff was very nice and helpful. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of Pest. Our room was clean and we got new towels every day.

I had a very nice and quiet stay on the island. Good and daily cleaning. The 4-people room is quite small but bed very comfy and there is a big terrace and kitchen area where one can sit and chill. Just 10 minutes to both sides of the Donau and the tram from the bridge takes you everywhere you need to go in the city. Pretty view over both sides and the lit buildings in the evening

I really liked this place. The lady who runs the accommodation is very nice. The beds are comfortable (except for 1) and the kitchen equipment is excellent for cooking a good meal. I can only say a problem that is either not the accommodation's fault or is highly SUBJECTIVE as to why people come to Margit Island.
- LOCATION 🤦This is what I'm saying, if you came to Budapest to work, Margitsziget is a particularly bad choice because you have to walk exactly 1.2km to the bus whether you're going to work or coming from work. (only bus number 26 goes to Margaret Island, which is rare and does not go at night) Unfortunately, Margaret Island is a bad choice for work, but it is one of the best choices for recreation because:
👉Nice place
👉Quiet neighborhood
👉Romantic
- CURTAIN 🤦 If someone wants privacy, they cannot have it in the absence of curtains (The accommodation is planning to create such a bedroom, but it is very difficult, because the conversion of the room is not allowed, or it is very expensive, since the design of the building does not give the possibility to if there are curtains, the room should also be aesthetically pleasing, which is very important)
When I think about it, there is nothing else I can come up with.
I love this place.

I have been traveling through different cities in Europe for several days and it has been one of the best hostels where I have stayed…. Its staff is extremely friendly, always willing to help and make recommendations regarding what you may need... the facilities are good, clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, a terrace with a beautiful view of the Danube and an unbeatable location on Margaret Island. Without a doubt if I return to Budapest in the future I would stay in this place again.

The manager Edit was very friendly from the start. Gabor at reception was also friendly and helpful, in fact every staff was friendly and the cleanliness is highlighted. There is a huge balcony facing the Danube river, the Island itself is a gem of Budapest. There is a lovely red cat in the property called "Vaci", which is a bonus-I love animals. The kitchen area feels like a living room at home, always clean, with a reading corner and a large flat screen TV. This Hostel in its category really second to none! Obviously, don't compare it to Ritz or Marriot, this is a Hostel, but a very special one! I can recommend it to anyone, be it solo traveller, group of friends, family, you not gonna be disappointed!
