Island Hostel Budapest has a cheerful atmosphere and is located on the car-free Margaret Island, surrounded by nature.
You can make pleasant memories on our comfortable 200 m2 terrace, which is bathed in special lights overlooking the Danube and the Parliament building, and is excellent for spending your free time.
Our common kitchen is fully equipped, suitable for baking and cooking. We also have a grill and a cauldron for outdoor cooking. There is also an emergency shop at the reception, where you can buy coffee, soft drinks and crisps.
Stég Pub is located at the entrance of our hostel, offers dining and entertainment opportunities to our guests with a 10% discount. The pub is open from March to October.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
Our private rooms are also available for our guests and note that we have mixed-dorms only.
The accommodations are practically furnished, the large rooms are equipped with USB charging facilities and reading lights. The private rooms have their own bathroom, the dorms have shared bathroom. Laundry facilities are also available for a fee.
The stop of trams 4 and 6 running through the city is located 750 m from the hostel and can be reached by foot. Palatinus Beach is 200 meters away. Bus 26 to the city center stops 260 meters away. The Parliament building and the tram to Buda Castle can also be reached on foot. Public parking is available for an additional fee and just a 15-minute walk from the accommodation. It is also possible to rent bicycles at the reception, so almost all attractions are easy to reach from our hostel.

Very relaxed hostel, in good combination with the bar downstairs. But definitely not a party hostel. Very pleasant staff always ready for a chat and there to help u if necessary. The beds could maybe be a tiny bit more comfortable but in general u get good value for the money u pay. Would definitely recommend

My stay was just one of the best memorable experiences... The hostel was located in the middle of the city, close to every well known spot, it was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and also each bed has a locker with a key, most of the time the room is calm and well air-conditioned, super friendly people, you only need 5 minutes to make friends and 10 other minutes to go out and discover the city with them if you are traveling solo. What a surprise! The Island Hostel is a cosy warm place to stay! The staff is super friendly, the position is perfect and rooms (in my case a private room) are nice and comfortable! The CEO (looks at the pictures) is always ready to help and assist you, even when he sleeps!!

Thank you Edith and Lili(the cat) for the kindness and hospitality, the terrace is beautiful, full of flowers and with a beautiful view of the Danube. Nice Staff, especially Edit who (owns?) the hostel. The talks with her were so nice and she always had tips for the day. There is a cat named Lilli, who lives at the hostel, she is a sweetheart. The beds were nice, the bathrooms clean. Overall a nice stay, would definitely come again.

It was a really good experience in the hostel, easy to go in and out. People were nice. I recommend this place. The bed was comfortable and you get a free access to lockers. The room was clean as well as the toilets and bathroom.

This hostel is really great, awesome location in the heart of Margaret Island. Full with bars, reataurants. The hostel is cozy, colorful, fun. The responsible of the place Edit is a really great cheerful lady, very nice and helpful. Room is small but clean and comfy. Price-value absolute worth.
