Very friendly hostel and staff. Anita was very helpful. There is no lift as it mentions but realy this makes it very hard as you have to walk 4 stores up every day. Good location! Next to tram and bus stop and to airport shuttle. Nice decoration. Sheets smelt of comfort. Not so clean room floors. Would recommend!
Me and my sister stayed in the 2 Bed Ensuite Apartment and it did not feel like a hostel what so ever! The apartment was huge, with a kitchen, bathroom and huge bedroom with window views overlooking the museum. The location is fantastic, walking distance from the Jewish Quarter, which has loads of fantastic bars and restaurants. It’s also within walking distance of tram and bus stops to get you around the rest of the city. And all of this was at the exceptionally cheap price! I would definitely recommend.
So here I was one day over a year ago, researching the coolest places to stay in the world and I came across this place. I thought to myself, I must bookmark this as I have to stay here. It features on a lot of these lists due to the whimsical art work featured throughout the entire building, which I’m sure if you’re reading this you have noticed. You might be asking yourself, is it as good in person? And the answer for you is Y E S (perhaps even better). We were buzzed up, walked up the 100+ stairs (the only thing I could possibly complain about and as someone who is extremely…
Wow what a stunning place to stay especially if you are arty like us. To sum the place up it is an Artists idea of heaven. Friendly and helpful staff made our stay pleasant. The only downer is there is no lift and possibly 100 steps to lug your case up and down but even for me who is normally rubbish at walking,I think the steps were worth it. I would definitely recommend. Just one more thing. The desk closes around midnight but we were told that if we had a problem,we could knock on the staff door and they would get up and help us.
I stayed in one of the Lavender Circus Apartments which are not in the main building but are in a great location (about 10 mins walk from the parliament building). It's a very individual place to stay with hand painted murals on the walls and very quirky decor throughout. The apartment was spacious enough and comfortable and it was really nice to have air conditioning as it was very hot during my stay in Budapest. As my room was not in the main building I had to specify my arrival time and someone was there to meet me and check me in. The lady was very friendly and helpful and gave me lots of advice on the best things to see and do in the city. Although there is not a reception in this building, the contact numbers are painted on the wall so you can always contact someone if you…
