Lovely room, decoration is amazing, staff is very kind. Everything was cleaned and prepared nicely, though it needs a bit of renovation or fixing. Location is perfect, though the hostel is hard to find, you have to look very closely to see which doors are the one. Lovely experience overall
The decoration is something unreal. Just gorgeous. Like Alice in Wonderland. Excellent localization. Great cleaning. Just the bed was not so comfortable and the pillows were too low. All the rest amazing. Really nice price/quality.
Lovely, quirky and unique hostel, friendly and helpful staff, brilliant location (6 mins walk from the Jewish quarter, 6 mins from Danube, opposite a bus stop direct to airport) and very clean. Great price too, what more would you want?
It was a nice clean place in a good location. However, staff were nowhere to be found. The hostel is top floor as well so there are many steps so be prepared for that. The window in our room was covered by a curtain way too small so people could easily look in. Overall, the place is ok. Probably wouldn't stay again.
We had a fab stay here last week, it’s such a lovely friendly place very laid back, clean, green, arty and right in the centre of things! On our arrival Thomas greeted us and asked us what we wanted to see, and gave us lots of tips on quiet places to drink and places of interest. We were able to walk to the Gellért hotel about a 15 minute walk away for some amazing Art Deco thermal spa therapy and got a 24 hr travel card to visit further a field. Plenty of coffee and eating places right on your front door step. On once you’ on the top floor, it’s the best! You are able to relax away from the hubbub of the city, enjoy!
This is a really great value hostel in a super location for exploring Budapest. The decor is pretty unique, rooms are a fair size and the staff are really helpful. For a hostel, its pretty well appointed and pretty clean but it is a hostel or budget hotel so there's no air conditioning and most rooms have shared facilities. Shame that a few visitors didn't realise that and were quite disappointed on arrival..... Be aware that the hostel is on the top floor and there's no lift - there's about five flights of stairs which can be pretty intimidating after a long day. Don't forget to bring cash - the hostel does not have credit card facilities and they would prefer that you settle the bill in local currency on arrival....
Good location. Good value. We stayed in a private room with private bathroom. Very clean. Friendly staff. Loved the decor, one of the best hostels we have stayed in. Note there are a lot of stairs up to this property! no lifts - this was not a problem for us. The entrance looks a bit weird at first but the property is beautiful once you reach the top.
Staying in this Hostel was one of the best hotel/hostel experiences I’ve ever had. Friendly and Helpful at all hours, clean and organised communal area with a fridge and cooking facilities as well as so many great things to read and look at. Our room was very clean and covered in their signature great art work with a very good shower, bed and amazing view of the national museum. Cannot recommend enough and hope to return in the summer.
We stayed with my sister in a private double en suite room. It was a really nice experience to stay in a room fully painted by hand. The staff is young and cool. We highly reccomend, The location is really convenient, on a central street in front of the national museum of Budapest walking distance to Danube river.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in early April. At first we got a room that really disappointed us. The bed was in the gallery and so did not include a bed base, required stairs, and had a big gap in the gallery, probably for the heat to rise to gallery from heater, yet dangerous (you can fall at night). We were about to leave but they showed us a much better room. For us that is. Room with no dangerous gallery. Bed base. Better shower. After the better room, the only drawback we found was the steps required to getvto our room on the 3rd floor. Really exhausting. We're in our 40s. In our 50s we probably won't come back here due to that reason.
