I should start with positive sides of this hostel. It's the cheapest hostel in Budapest (literally), the room has a small fridge where you can store a bottle of water or etc. You will have your own shower which is very convenient. Stuff is friendly and alway are ready to help you with bus time-table or smth else.
BUT kitchen is disgustingly dirty, wi-fi connection is very weak. Our room was far from reception so we basicly didn't have any internet. It was pretty hot in the room at night so sleeping there was not really comfy. You have to walk around 10 min to get to the nearest metro station.
It's ok to stay threre for a couple of nights if you are young students with just 2 backpacks.

- reception people not welcoming at all. They hardly said hello when I arrived. It looked like they just wanted to get my money and give me the key
- terrible wifi connexion, worked one day out of two
- showers in the morning were sometimes cold
- very noisy at night, people talked loudly (or even shouted) in the corridor in the middle of the night, and the staff did not even care about this

+ clean room
+ correct equipment

Hi,
If you are looking for a room(rather Bed you can say) for just 20Euros per night for two bedroom. Then you can choose this.
I had stayed here for two days for 38EURs

Beware, other than the bed you need to pay for everything else.
you have a room which has 2 single beds.
a small room to take shower.
you have common toilets which is shared across the people who lives in that corridor.
Rooms are clean.

Do you want a table fan, pay the reception guy with rent+some advance he will provide.
No jugs even to drink water.you will get city maps near the reception itself.

Please note that in this 21st century, this hotel does not accept credit card payments!!
you must have the cash in euros/HUF to pay while checking in.

Other travelers complain that this hostel warns people to keep quite after midnight.
Please do not forget that it is for the benefit of travelers. what is the use if you pay for taking rest, and the next room guys keep making noise over night.
If you cant walk till this hotel from the nearby tram station, then please get into the BUS NUMBER-27 which drops you till "Menesi ut" stop which is next to this hostel.

if you are a budget traveler, you can definitely select this room for staying.

advise to this Hotel Management:
=>please fix a fan to all the rooms. Expecting visitors to pay additionally for such basic service is ridiculous. nobody will use the fan in winter if you are thinking otherwise.
=>Please keep a jug and a glass, so that people can drink water.
=>More important don't think all the travelers will come to your hotel with EUR/HUF in hand.
you need to accept the credit card payment. Or make this hostel available for credit card payment while booking thru online.

Even though the place was up a small hill, the location is great. It is close to the subway, trolleys, and busses. The staff were helpful, the rooms were decent, and the bathrooms were kept clean. The only down side to this place is the WiFi. It rarely worked.

Pros:
Clean sheets

Cons:
Everything else.
To elaborate the location is kinda far away from anything of significance. You need to buy some tickets for the tram or love walking.
The Toilets are horrible at best, with overflowing bins and missing paper.
The floor was dirty when we arrived and there was a band-aid in the drain!
The communal kitchen is a joke. With posters telling you to please keep the area clean but not even being provided a papertowel.
The staff is rude and not very helpful. They just want you to go away.

All in all pretty horrible.

I was definetly disappointed from this hostel. It's basically a student hostel. The people in the reception are nice and helpful, that was the only poistive point. Our room was a twin bed room, it has a fridge and a private shower inside. The room looked clean at first, but after few minutes there we realized there was dust eveeywhere, the window full of spider webs. Impossible to cook anything, the commun kitchen was really dirty. Same thing can be said about the commun toilets, I couldnt use them, no toilet paper, and obviously people don't bother themselves pulling water!! It seems like there is no cleaning service at all, I had to go to Mcdonalds to use proper toilets.
The location isn't that great, you need to climb a big Hill to get to the hostel, if you have heavy luggage. You will suffer.
The wifi exists, but doesn't reach the rooms.
We were trying to spend as much time as possible outside, and go back therw just to sleep, not to mention the noise made by the residents.

First of all, I must say this was the cheapest place I found to stay in August. Even so, it was 30€ per night (2 people) with city tax included. That's the only reason why we stayed and because we were going to use the "hostel" only to sleep.

The "hostel" it's actually a students residence, not occupied by students in the month of August, reason why rooms are free to rent. There is not cleaning at all! Bathroom smells like pee all the time. We had a private shower inside the room and it was full of hairs, the sheets the same. Really disgusting in all senses! There are two computer in the "lobby", which barely work, not to mention the tons of dust on it.

The staff: young people, probably students. When you complain they really don't care. We asked to change to a clean room and what the gave of was the same crap. If I come back to Budapest I would rather sleep in the station than coming back here, no joke!

About location, well, hard to find, uphill street and very far away from the center: aprox. 45 minutes walk, or if you take metro or tram, anyway you have to walk 10-15 minutes.

It's not my first time in a hostel, so I must say this was by far the worse one in my whole traveller life which is a lot to say.

it got a nice and quiet environment surrounding the hostel. It looks like a student accommodation renting out to travellers. The nightly room rate is also very affordable. In the room, you may find some spiders but they are not disturbing. There is a bus stop 2mins from the hostel and the bus schedule is quite frequent so it's quite convenient to take it to the nearest metro down the hill and switch to the metro. If you have heavy luggage going with you, you will need to climb the stairs to the hostel reception. The common room only got 2 tables, 2 ovens and 4 stoves but not any other so if you want to cook in it, the most convenient way is to buy some aluminium foil and oven-cooked food for your meal.

Reading some of the reviews before going, I was really skeptical but decided to give it a try anyway and it turned out not to be so bad. There is a bus stop about 2 minutes from the hostel so no need to walk far with your luggage. The location is really nice and quiet if you wanna get some good sleep but at the same time it's close to the city center so you can explore Budapest easily. At night the walk is a little bit longer since the bus is not running but it was never a problem, even for a lazy person like me. The only really bad thing was the toilet. There are shared toilets on each floor and I'm pretty sure they never get cleaned. This is the main reason why the hotel didn't get better scores on cleanliness. The toilets were really horrible and sometimes I had to go up and down the building to find a toiler which is somewhat acceptable. It may be a good idea to bring some sanitizing wipes or something similar since you can't always avoid using the toilets.

Nice, clean, well maintained average student dormitory. Very hospitable staff.
Only complaint could be problems with wifi reception - it often gets to weak to serve all the guests, usually it helps to use wifi in the reception room (the reception room also has few computers with internet).
The refrigerator in the room was set too cold and al the beverages and milk froze overnight. We couldn't find setting to change that.
From time to time the smell in shared men's toilets was not even nearly pleasant, but everything looked very clean. It could also happen that you find out that there is no toilet paper... it is not funny if you find out too late.
It is very cheap, nice and clean, definitely worth the money.even with problems.
