Created from a centuries’ old palazzo, Hotel Palazzo Vichy provides modern rooms and amenities in a charming atmosphere. The old palazzo with its enclosed courtyard is the perfect mix of vintage details and modern design. The airy lobby sits above the breakfast room nestled in the former courtyard of the residence. Just off the lobby is a lounge with comfortable seating and snacks available. Later in the evening the area transforms into a bar. Our room (518) included a seating/desk area with a high end coffee/tea station. Our large bath had a double vanity, a jetted tub, and separate shower. The king sized bed was very comfortable and was flanked by stands with charging stations as well as built-in dressers and wardrobes. The staff was most helpful in getting us situated, arranging for taxis, and suggesting restaurants. (They were even able to honor our request to be placed in the same room when we returned to Budapest a week later.) The breakfast was a real standout, included in the cost of our room. Besides the fancy coffee machines, a hot and cold buffet provided most anything you could wish for breakfast. Finally, the location of the hotel is well situated to easily explore the center of Budapest. On a small square removed from a busy street, you can walk to the nearest Metro stop at Kalvin Ter in just five minutes. But even on foot you can get to the Central Market Hall and the Danube promenade in just ten minutes. This gem of a hotel is great value for money in a great location. We would love to return to Budapest and enjoy another stay in the Hotel Palazzo Vichy.

My husband and I stayed here for his 50th birthday in January and what a fantastic hotel choice we made! We cannot fault a single thing. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. The team on reception were so friendly and efficient. Our room on the 3rd floor was beautiful and a card was left in the room wishing my husband a happy birthday with some chocolates, fruit and prosecco. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with a fantastic choice that should suit everyone. Free tea, coffee and water is available until 5pm every day from the lobby lounge. The location was perfect, lovely and quiet and only a 10 minute walk to the Danube, from where most of the sights could be easily walked to. We have already decided that we will return to Budapest in the future, when it's warmer and will definitely look to stay here again. An absolutely wonderful place to stay. If you plan to visit Budapest, this hotel will not disappoint you.

My wife and I stayed in a superior room at this hotel for seven nights and had a great experience. The room was modern, clean and air-conditioned, it was equipped with a Nespresso machine, a minibar with most of the necessities. Room service was available for additional requests and which we used quite regularly.

There was very little to complain about in terms of the hotel facilities or the impeccable service provided, it was very clear to me that the staff (in its entirety) were doing their outmost in order to provide the best service available. Regardless of what we asked for, (and we did ask for a lot), it was taken care of instantly, nothing was too troublesome or difficult. The cleaning crew even left us with little thank you notes, thanking us for leaving a tip.

The hotel is in itself quite beautiful and a perfect hotel to stay at for those who already have seen the main tourist attractions and are looking to have a relaxed stay at the hotel and to take advantage of the great service provided. It is not, at least in my view, a tourist hotel that provides fast and easy access to the main tourist attractions in the city. The location is a bit off, but then again maybe that isn’t a problem since the taxi services in Hungary are quite affordable.

Hotel Palazzo Zichy Budapest is a very nice hotel with very nice and welcoming staff.
Any problem, question, information you can get easily by the reception.
Beds are wide and comfortable. Room nice and clean.
Breakfast is delicious, very sorted for every taste. You can open your day with a glass of white wine.
The hotel has a nice sauna with a small fitness center but it's a little hidden in the basement floor.
The hotel is located in a quiet road very near to the center that you can arrive everywhere in 15-30 minutes walking. Also 15 minutes walk from 100E bus line to/from airport, 3 Euro per person.
I easily recommend you to stay and enjoy this hotel.

Booked this hotel after reading reviews and we were certainly not disappointed. From first walking in, we were dealt with friendly courteous staff at an impressive reception. The corridors to the rooms were all exceptionally and well decorated. We entered the room which was also tastefully decorated and very clean. It had a nespresso coffee maker (free of charge) and an amply stocked chargeable fridge. The bathroom had amazing glass panel doors very unusual with a large level access rain shower. The breakfast room and food was great and could not be faulted. Beautiful. The hotel was well situated for us and is between stops 15 and 16 of the hop on hop off bus. There are some great local restaurants which were very reasonable. We just loved this hotel and well done to all staff for making our visit so enjoyable.

If we were to return to Budapest, we would absolutely stay here again. Firstly, the location is great - it’s not in the centre of everything so it’s nice and quiet but there’s a lovely street full of cafes and bars less than 2 minutes walk away. It’s very easy to get anywhere within 20 minutes of the hotel. The staff could not be more helpful, they are all so polite and answered all of our questions when we needed advice. The rooms are well kept, very modern and the idea of having a DVD collection free for guests to use is great! The breakfast had a good selection and for the most part, the staff on duty were great at refreshing the options on offer with a high turnover of diners. On our last day, after check out we were able to leave our suitcases in a secure room while we explored the city for a couple of hours before our transport to the airport and we were able to sit in the lounge area until our car arrived - there is free tea, coffee and water on offer there so we were very happy. This is a very pleasant place to stay, well worth the money spent. Thank you to all the brilliant staff here!

I visited this hotel for 3 nights 12th-15th March 2020 with my Daughter and my Mum. 3 generations of adults and we all had an amazing stay. Perfect hidden little gem of a hotel, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to all the sights.
This hotel is beautiful, stylish, modern and immaculately clean. The staff are all friendly and very helpful, nothing’s to much for them. Excellent breakfast, something for everyone, cooked breakfast, continental, vegetarian, many types of bread and rolls and danish pastries, fresh fruit and juice, yoghurts, cereals, the list is endless and even a glass of fizz if you fancy.
There is a lounge bar with a coffee machine and snacks and you can get bottled water there to, all free of charge up until 5pm everyday.
A coffee machine in each room is a nice little touch, stock refilled for this everyday. Minibar in room is chargeable but quite reasonably priced compared to others I’ve seen on previous breaks.
There is a blue ray DVD in every room and a DVD library for you to choose from. After a long day walking many miles, a quiet evening with a glass of wine and a DVD is highly recommended, room service also available.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and if I return to Budapest in the future, Hotel Palazzo Zichy is where I will stay.

Very easy to get to - a short walk from the first stop on the airport bus (the 100E every ten minutes, 35 min journey, only £2.50 equivalent each way). Beautifully restored building, great facilities, very clean and great breakfasts. Staff very helpful. Situated in a quiet area with interesting buildings and lots of quality places to eat and drink across a range of prices. Close to the metro, easy to get anywhere. Thoroughly recommend.

We spent 3 nights at the Zichy hotel. The location is excellent. And the staff friendly and helpful. We arrived by plane and got the number 100 bus from the airport to Kelvin Ter and then walked about 800 metres to hotel. From the hotel we caught trams on Joszef street , and Kelvin Ter - to access the city. The hotel room was very good - generous size, good facilities including a coffee machine . The breakfast is included and served in the breakfast room - it was a buffet style and was excellent. Features like freshly squeezing your own grapefruit juice made it special. Extra services, like a double Doona on request , a shaving kit on request and we borrowed some videos from the library were good, but the best aspect was the guest lounge where we could sit in nice lounge chairs and enjoy a coffee, tea or water during the day .
