We visited the Eurostars Palazzo Zichy for the second time last October (2023), staying 4 nights. The room we stayed in was quite small but very nicely arranged and clean and the beds were super comfortable. The Hotel is very charming and is situated in a great position with a lively square just around the corner, full of nice little restaurants and bars. It’s also an easy walking distance to the Gellert, the Market and the City. We enjoyed our short break there very much and we were looked after very well by the staff. The front desk staff were excellent. Roland was extremely helpful and kind and quickly sorted out a problem we encountered booking some train tickets. He was always friendly and courteous, and we were very impressed. Alejandro also provided excellent service, always with a welcoming smile and was helpful and informed. It was a pleasure to stay at the Palazzo Zichy.

Great hotel in a good location and neighbourhood. Centrally located and walking distance or a quick tram ride from a lot of the sights. Rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. I booked 2 of the same rooms (one for my husband, my son and I) and one for my sister and her partner - both the same price paid but unfortunately one (ours) was considerably larger than the other. I queried this at reception and was told this was normal. Beautiful building, very good breakfast and good service. When we visited it was mentioned that the hotel had just changed hands and this was noticeable in the service standards in my opinion. Complimentary tea/ coffee and water in the lobby and some lovely restaurants and bars on the doorstep and a few mins stroll. Overall highly recommended for the value and location - but just missing that wow factor on this occasion. Kids play park a few mins walk and area felt very safe even late at night.

The hotel itself is fantastic the entrance hall looks great and so does the restaurant. However, the staff almost seem not bothered by your presence and the WiFi is absolutely shocking in our room. However, 10 minute walk to lively tourism.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in November 2023. Overall was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in the central area and is very conveniently located, close to public transport and restaurants all within a walking distance. Room was great, had great noise isolation so had a great night sleep every single night. In addition to that, there is a lounge area in reception where you can get complimentary hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) as well as juice as many times as you want. You can check my video review of the hotel on my YouTube channel, the link to which you can find in my profile (Channel name is the same as my username here :).

A balanced review, the building itself is beautiful and the entrance lobby is lovely, the rooms have lovely high ceilings. The staff are generally friendly, attentive and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and I paid £130 per night… this hotel is not worth that money and is certainly not a 4 star hotel. Our first room was big but had awful stains on a bedside lampshade, all cupboard doors were marked and the air conditioning wasn’t working. In all very tired and dated. Roland on reception was helpful and moved us to another room which unfortunately was smaller but at least cleaner. The breakfast buffet was sparse and nothing to write home about, Luke warm and just not all that. It’s a city hotel and I understand that the homeless issues around the area aren’t the hotel’s responsibility, however within a 50m radius of the front door we encountered 3/4 homeless people, the area is dirty with overflowing bins and a stench of sewage. There are a few nice bars and restaurants opposite or a close walk by… all in all a big disappointment. I certainly wouldn’t go back. Not worth the money and definitely not a 4 star hotel

Hotel is very charming with its old architecture and then a modern twist in the rooms. Rooms are very spacious and decent size bathroom. This hotel is located opposite a small square and just around the corner is a whole street filled with cafes and restaurants. We used Bolt taxis to get from our Hotel to the city center which the cost was pretty reasonable from around 5 - 7 Euros each time. Breakfast is the only thing that I was not impressed about. Constantly had to wait for the food to be replenished. We even had to wait for glasses and that was after I had asked them. Could be due to short staff problems however expected a bit more out of the 4 star Hotel. Staff were pleasant enough when we encountered a small problem in our room and were more then willing to make sure the problem was solved.

We had stayed here previously seven or so years ago and had fond memories of our stay, unfortunately times have changed. I booked a Junior Suite which i had assumed was the same as the previous stay - this was not the case, a much smaller room in size, just enough to get by.In the room was a coffee machine but no jug, my wife wanted hot water and luckily realized could get it through the machine. The reception was fine but you get very little information and not until you get to your room where you have to scan a QR Code do you get any details. Breakfast was downstairs in a pleasant area where the staff were polite but not engaging at all. The food supplied was sufficient but by no means extravagent. We used the gym, was very small but had the basic equipment. Was surprised to go down there ( basement ) one morning and the floor was flooded due to a storm overnight - when i went to reception to suggest they mop the floors, they were very dismissive and said they would get around to it as currently busy! Suggest some of the staff need training on communicating with people!

This hotel is well deserving of its 5/5 rating. Great location, friendly staff and immaculate rooms. If I was to return to Budapest this would be my first choice. Air conditioning a big bonus in this hot weather! We loved Budapest and felt safe where ever we went and whatever time

We spent a weekend in Budapest at the hotel Palazzo Zichy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The local area is were nice. It has every thing you need just round the block, and just down the street there are a couple of very busy town squares with happening cafes, wine bars and restaurants. We went to a pasta restaurant, a Vietnamese phở place, a local wine bar and a lovely coffee and pastry place , all while walking down to the river. We’re definitely going back to the hotel and the area.

Loved the hotel! The service was fabulous friendly and professional! The rooms were very comfortable and our suite windows viewed the little parkland beneath! We stayed for 12 nights! Enjoyed the world athletics every day! Did some amazing sightseeing and tours! Walked 15klms everyday and enjoyed the fabulous restaurants! Zichy is positioned perfectly to wherever or whatever you wish to see or do! Would definitely stay again!
