We started skeptical, a bit wary of both Budapest, and receiving an email about having to relocate the luxury apartment due to a previous agreement running out. The new luxury apartment turned out to be just that for us backpackers. It was essentially the spare suite of a the landlord's apartment, but it was private enough. It was spacious, with...

We stayed at Yep Hostel for 1 night in August. It wasn't our first choice, but after a mix up with another hostel we were sent here. Yep hostel was all booked out so we were told we would have to sleep on the fold out couch in the lobby the first night and then they would move us to...

The room was fine, although there were no curtains or something else to cover the windows. The owner was a bit grumpy when we arrived (he was just awake), but was more friendly on later occasions. The bathtub was also the drain for the washing machine. The common room was very dark.

Due to some mess with the booking I got an other room which was even at a better location ( near Batthányi tér ). The apartment was very clean and tidy, nicely furnished, the kitchen was fully equipped. There were even some books on the shelves which made it all look more familiar. I will definitely book the same apartment...

Attention: they have bed bugs. I woke up the next day covered in painful bites all over. Furthermore, the hostel is dirty and the bed was broken. The only good thing is the location: you dont need to use the metro or tram. Do your self a favor and NEVER STAY HERE!!!!

Arriving we were showered wit things to do and towels to have a shower, resturants to visit and places to see. They literally couldn't do more to please you. The lady who works there is a complete gem and made our stay wonderful. She is so sweet and kind and tried everything to help us. Is it central location and...

Everything about this hostel makes you want to say "Ah, ain't it cute!", from the decorations to the small but sufficient room size and the lovely housekeeper. It's perfect for a honeymoon on a tight budget. The whole interior is comparable to a "girl's shared flat". You can use the kitchen + fridge, WLAN, as well as the living room...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

“If you want a bit of privacy ask for the double room. It is on the yard side so more quiet as well. However the quad room is nice and spacious... if there are 3-4 of you together... If you want even more privacy ask Tamas about the other apartment (might cost a little more but worth it)”
