The hostel was a good place to stay, nicely located for seeing the city with trams nearby. We stayed in a twin room at the top of the building, so quite a few stairs to climb! The room was fairly big with wardrobes and the shower rooms/toilets were nearby and enough of them not to have to wait. The room and bathrooms were adequately cleaned but maybe not perfect. The reception staff were generally helpful and friendly in particular Eric, thanks for your cheerful nature. The breakfast was lovely. Although we travelled as friends this time, if I was here as a solo woman I might feel apprehensive going out at night, but for me it's all about the days and felt safe then.
Nice and helpful reception team, great hospitality, very helpful, shared kitchen, sitting area, refreshers and bar near reception, bathrooms and toilets are clean and good, rooms are nice and big. One arab (dark skinned middle eastern looking) guest stayed in my room and he did have problems about respecting others, he was very noisy. Apart from him my experience was great. Thank you
Problem is, even the workers who are nice are very inexperienced and not trained or informed about the facilities at all. Walls and bed linen aren't clean half of the time, lockers and closets are not available in any room, located in almost a central but very dirty and dodgy part of town.

This is a huge hostel with a lot of rooms and beds. With this in mind, I think it is a good hostel. We were a group of 17 people staying here during a class trip. Rooms were ok, bathrooms as well, although the bathrooms should been cleaned more often, and refilled with toilet paper, as this was too often missing in the bathroom. The breakfast had a surprisingly huge variety, although we sometimes had to wait for a while for them to refill certain things. There is also a big, quite clean and well-equipped kitchen that guests can use as they wish. The hostel has a good location, although I recommend to use the tram/metro in the city to get around easily. However, one of the best thing about this hostel is the personnel. Whatever happened (some of us was put into a room with 6 noisy boys, and some of us had bed bugs in our room), we were taken seriously about the staff and they gave us a new room/new beds when we really needed it. I felt safe and well taken care of in this hostel! …
First of all, the rooms were ok. The service on the other hand was very bad. The staff was uniterested en we asked them to book a taci for us, but they never did. So we were waiting for taxi and only when we asked them, they told us that they didnt booked it.
Honestly the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was so dirty and even after I asked for it to be simply hovered, the cleaners just came in and took out empty bottles of water and ketchup (??) from the floor. However, when I eventually got to speak to a manager he was helpful. Unfortunately this was on my last day and this issue could have been rectified on the day of arrival, particularly considering we weren’t able to check in on arrival due to cleaning (??) Also, there is no lift and some rooms are 4 stories up so not wheelchair accessible or suitable for buggies etc. Also, beds were uncomfortable and the noise from the street made it hard to get a good nights sleep. That being said, the manager was extremely helpful when I eventually got the chance to speak to him and offered solutions to some of my issues.…
Friendly, helpful staff, very good kitchen area and good bathrooms. The breakfast they provided was brilliant! It's a very big hostel with 3 floors with a lot of rooms on each floor so it felt a bit more like a hotel, but we still met and chatted to some new people over breakfast and in the kitchen area. Our room was fairly nice although there was a strangely-located plug socket very high up, but you could rest your phone on top of the socket so you could still charge it from there. Our room was on the top floor though so it was a lot of stairs to get to it, and just be aware it's a bit far from most tourist attractions, like almost an hour walk from heroes square and the Szechenyi thermal baths, but definitely a good, welcoming hostel!
Stayed here for 3 nights last week with my friend in a twin room, had a nice stay the place was very clean and quiet. One thing though was the room was SO hot!! i think air con should be installed really because a small fan really did nothing and at night it became uncomfortable. The hostel is a little out of the city centre about a 25 min walk but it is right on the tram route. The breakfast was ok although i dont feel the staff kept it topped up enough, had to ask for hot water and cups one morning and there were no pastrys as advertised. Staff ok, not overally friendly though.
don't trust them! they canceled my reservation a few days after my arrival (I had booked a month before and they waited so long to tell me) pretending that they would help me find something else ("we're retrieving photos and we'll let you know" but they lied) then they disappeared! no help came from them, nor explanations .. they had taken more bookings than the rooms they had and left us in the street! shameful assistance .. don’t trust them if you have any problems you will not get any help! bad, the worst of all!!! they suck, for real!
