Overall very bad experience. When I booked the appartement I specifically checked that it had a double bed and it's explicitly mentioned. In practice I got a bed with 2 connected mattresses so I could sleep either on one side or the other one but not in the middle. I asked the reception to change the appartment. They admitted that it's not a double bed and said they have very few apartments with a real double bed and all of the are booked so they couldn't help me. There was no empathy or an attempt to somehow solve the issue.

Booked this apartment as we were flying the next day , and wanted to spend the evening at the Xmas market Was not disappointed, I noticed that there are comments about the reception where you get the keys is around the corner from the property! Yes it is but we are talking about a 2 minute walk, the receptionist was very nice and helpful told us all the things we needed to know . When we got to the apartment we were not disappointed it was clean , well equipped, warm , no noise as it was winter and the windows were closed The location was great for what we wanted and in the morning when we left it was a 2 minute walk to catch the 100 bus to the airport I won’t hesitate to recommend this property

This accommodation is extremely unprofessional, they forced us to check out early without allowing us to leave our luggage in any space after checkout. Our flight scheduled at 8:30 pm, and we were set to checkout at 11. We asked for a late checkout, they declined. We asked if we could keep our luggage at their reception area, they declined. Additionally, central passage apartments has the worst reception office, outside the parameters of the building and hidden. It took us a long time to find it without any signs or indications. 0 customer service. I would not recommend this place at all.

Response from cpaBudapest, Manager at Central Passage Budapest Apartments
Responded Nov 20, 2019
Thank you for your feedback! We are very sorry that you left our apartment with such a bad opinion. Please let us clarify what exactly happened... All our guests will be notified in advance by email about the check-in time and check-out time and of the possibility of luggage storage. This letter stated precisely that rooms on the day of arrival were to be occupied from 14:00 and to leave by 11:00 on the day of departure. Unfortunately, we did not receive a reply from you regarding your arrival time, but despite your early arrival, we provided an early check in at 11am (instead of 14:00) without additional cost. Regarding the late check-out, our receptionist informed you that unfortunately we can not guarantee this, it depend on the availability of the rooms and the time of arrival of the guests. Unfortunately we were not able to provide you a late check-out, but of course you were allowed to stay in the apartment until 11:00, as per our policy. Thus, "being forced to check out early” is not entirely true, as everyone can stay in the apartments until 11:00 according our policy. We also informed you in advance about the luggage storage that there is a luggage storage inside the building, as unfortunately our reception desk is not suitable for store luggages. Thank you for your understanding. CPA team

Location cannot be beaten - excellent is the word. However please don't get fooled by the pictures and description. There is no reception - in a block 100 / 200 metres away - yes that's where there is reception. Collect keys from there and then find your way to the apartment. Common parts not impressive at all for the 4 star and above reviews. There is no gym although it says so - you have to pay a gym located in the same complex and is not part of the facility. You cannot keep luggage - there is a storage 24 euros for 4 hours - so really this is an ryanair / easyjet equivalent - Beware -

First of all this is not the address of where you get your key. It is around the corner beside the Mexican Restaurant. The unit entrance is in an arcade and unmarked. Great location though. Unit exactly as per the photos. Only hand pump soap provided. Nothing else, so have to take own soap, shampoo, tea bags, coffee etc. No starter pack of any kind. Beds where small so not good if you are used to a king so we booked a 2 bedroom to spread out. Would highly recommend though. All double glazed windows too. We had 5 nights and was glad we stayed in an apartment.

We really enjoyed our stay at these apartments. They are in a great location. Handy to the metro, restaurants & cafes, supermarkets and the Budapest Eye. Most tourist attractions and places are an easy walking distance. The apartment is well equipped. The amenities are fine. There is security at the entrance to the building. There are restaurants in the arcade under the apartments. The downsides to staying here, are the car parking is expensive 25 euro per day. The towels in the apartment were ‘tissue paper’ thin. They need upgrading. The washing machine left the clothes wringing wet after the spin cycle. We stayed for 4 nights. The downsides do not outweigh the positives for staying here. I would recommend these apartments.

This is the second time we have stayed at Central Passage Apartments. On our previous visit, last year, we arrived as a couple and stayed in a double room. It was very successful. Clean, well equipped and spacious room in a fantastic location. This time we arrived with our 3 children (including a baby). Just like previously, this time also, the room standard was as high as one could expect: a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony, clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a family stay. Also, the apartment was spacious enough for all of us: the children slept on a pull-out bed in the living room, and next to it was a spacious baby bed. And still have enough room for children to play on the carpet in the living room and enough room to move freely in the apartment space, including the kitchen, and sit comfortably around the dining table. The location is fantastic. Not only the fact that the apartment so close to Deak Ferenc Ter (a minute's walk), but also because of what is underneath the building: 24/7 supermarket, Change stores, dozens (!) Restaurants, of any kind imaginable - and this is very important when you travel with children, which become very picky when it comes to food. Surprisingly, even room service came once during the stay (a total of 5 nights). I must mention the excellent and extraordinary service we got from the charming and lovely Fanni: we got a free airport shuttle (including a baby chair) directly to the apartment (Fanni greeted us as we got off the taxi), a baby stroller was waiting for us in the apartment at no charge (although we didn't need it eventually), she arranged for us a shuttle back to the airport, and even helped us with a direct taxi to AquaWorld at a great price. I have no doubt that if we ever reach this awesome city once again - Central Passage Apartment will be our first choice.

The staff was very helpful and the airport transfer was excellent! Unfortunate the room did not meet our expectation and did not mach the description. The bathroom smelled damp and moldy which even filled the whole apartment.

Airport transfer was absolutely excellent - definitely recommend it! Apartment itself was very central, close to everything. On one of the most busy party streets, but once inside the building it's totally soundproof. AC was working, apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. There are restaurants downstairs and a bakery, and across the road is a 24hr convenience store. Would not recommend sofa bed for 2 people.

Can’t fault these apartments in any way. Though we got to Budapest late evening, the young lad was still working and able to show us to our place. We stayed as a double couple with a double bedroom each. Beds very comfy and inviting after a day in the city. kitchen fully kitted with all mod cons. Bathroom clean and tidy. The building we stayed in is very secure and the location is brilliant. Short walk to the Jewish quarter with all bars and restaurants. Minutes walk to the park with the Budapest eye. Very near to public transport. Hop on/off bus tours with ferry rides on the Danube at a great price. Definitely stay here if I come to visit again
