just came back from Budapest, we stayed at room number 103 which was quite big facing the street but saw some real small rooms facing the inner coutryard .The location of the hotel is fantastic, walking distance to everywhere. Breakfast is quite good with several choises of cheese, cold cuts, har boiled and scrambled eggs etc. but bread choise is...

The promenade has a winnig location! Being right in the heart of things and close to anywhere its probably the best value around. Our room was ok , though the window was facing the inner building and not the street. Many of the rooms are like that. They do have rooms facing the street but they are probably more expensive....

Promenade City Hotel is on the main pedestrian street (Vaci Utca). It is a great location and most attractions are within walking distance. The hotel is small but comfortable. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was a plus offering continental type breakfast. The bed was average in comfort and the bathroom was spacious except it...

It's our third stay in this hotel and each time it's better and better. Clean rooms. Main advantage of this hotel that it's just in the Center of the city on one of the most famous streets - Vaci utca.

Central location in the middle of Budapest (Pest) near the riverside. Walking distance to many main attractions, even to Buda. Nice, simple decoration in the room and the bathroom (shower) of quality. Helpful stuff. Lovely scent in the corridors.

The location of the hotel is very good for a few days in the city. The hotel staff helped us a lot in a problem we had with the reservation. From the hotel we got tickets to the spa and did not have to wait in line.

Professional and friendly staff in a small hotel in the pedestrianised area of Budapest. The hotel was very clean and well cared for. Our room wasn't wonderful the bed was very hard and the mattress cover made it hot and sticky. However we had a good stay in Budapest and would like to return sometime.

First visit to Budapest and booked with Jet2holidays. Excellent location. The hotel is situated on a street in the centre with many shops, bars and restaurants on the door step. We booked for the location, if you want a central location then I recommend. It's not a big hotel, no facilities other than reception, space to leave bags on check...

Very quiet, clean room, no view but window opened for fresh air. Lack of shower curtain an issue but manageable. Breakfast selection fine, but a toaster would be a welcome addition. Reception staff excellent and location of hotel very central.

Amazing location, right in the heart of the city. very clean and proffessional staff. The breakfast, even though there was not much variety, I found it great. Finally, I would recommend to the hotel, to put some shower curtains on, as when taking a shower, it is not very convinient.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
