Best hotel in Budapest and one if the best hotels we have stayed in. We are well traveled and happy to find this exceptional place to stay. Well located, in a historic, beautiful building - we enjoyed a well appointed, very clean room. Amazing restaurant and beautiful lobby/bar with exceptional service throughout. Great value. Highly recommend.

The hotel is in a great location with lovely staff, bedrooms are large, light and comfortable. Budapest was much hotter than expected, but we were able to sleep with the windows open as a very quite location. Only negative point is heating is done on a whole hotel basis so difficult to manage the temperature in the room. Would we stay here again yes

Great staff, beautiful location and large rooms. Breakfast was lovely every morning. King Stephen’s festival was on while we were here and we were so close to all the attractions with fireworks to finish our trip. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a few days last week and loved it. Warm welcome upon arrival and our room was ready before the official check in time which was great. The room was very spacious and had everything you need. I saw some people mention that the decor was 'dated'- they are actually in the process of refurbishing the rooms anyway ready for peak season. I didn't think they were dated, we thought it was in keeping with the area. The area itself is so safe and just a 2 minute walk away from the Fishermans Bastion. You can also get the number 16 bus from around the corner to get over to Pest and all the 'main' attractions, just remember to get your ticket from the booth before you get on as despite what it says online, they don't always let you get a ticket on the bus itself. The location is also very close to Buda castle- think it was about a 5 minute walk from the hotel in total. The breakfast each morning was also very nice with a lot of choice- the cooked choice was small but more than enough for a quick breakfast before you head out for the day. The mini croissants, muffins and little sausages were particular highlights. Check out was at 11am and they let us keep our bags there as our flight was not until later that night. Would stay here again if going back to Budapest.

The location of the hotel is superb. Just few steps away from the Fishermen’s Bastion. I have stayed there three times. The rooms are good, spacious; however, there were issues. In one there was a large mould patch right next to shower on the wall where they ‘forgot’ to put tiles. In another room, for some unfathomable reason, the glass shower screen was placed in the opposite end of the bath from where the shower was, so much water was going on the bathroom floor. The toilet which was supposed to be wall mounted was placed down onto the floor, making it so low that only a small child could use it comfortably. All this as if the builder had not a clue or desire to do things right. The rooms did not have air conditioning and the heat could not be turned down (in February) so it was boiling during the nights. Finally, the breakfast could have been great with much choice, however, the scrambled eggs and bacon were cold every morning. The staff were great and kind. So, all the above was management issue. I wish they fixed these because it would be a great little hotel.

We like to treat ourselves when we book a short break. We were due to travel to the Buda Castle Fashion Hotel last November but had to postpone to early January due to family illness. We booked the Buda Castle Fashion Hotel as it is 4 star and had great reviews. Firstly, the positives - extremely large room with plenty of storage (big open wardrobe with hanging space and shelves), the room had a safe, complimentary toiletries, and is situated in a gorgeous very historic part if Buda. However, for us, it just wasn't a 4 star .. it was nice, but just didn't have that bit extra that you would expect. • we arrived at 9pm, booked as part of a package including flights, even though the write up says a restaurant and room service no food is available in the evenings. We asked at reception if there was any food available (would have been happy with a sandwich) but they said no. They directed us to two restaurants down the road but said they'd probably closed their kitchens - which they had, but one took pity on us and rustled us up a couple of desserts so we didn't go to bed hungry. • the room generally was very clean, but the bathroom did have substantial mould around the bath. • the breakfast room is very cramped, approx 8-10 tables for mainly 2 people (couple of 4) which is no way near enough for the capacity of the hotel. So there was a lot of people waiting around for a seat/table at breakfast, people feeling the need to hurry up to free up a table, and a lot of congestion around the buffet. That said, there was a good spread of breakfast options (fruit, cereal, bread, cheese, meat, pastries, scrambled eggs, mini hotdog sausages, and diced bacon). • the room was extremely hot, it had a thermostat in the room, but this didn't work the temperature remained the same - we even tried setting it to 5 degrees, but the room remained very hot. The windows only open an inch, as there is an inner window that blocks the outer window opening (as the outer window opens inwards). • the beds, though large, we're not comfortable, very lumpy, combined with the heat made some uncomfortable sleeping for us. • the hotel states there is a bar, open until 11pm, however, it is not possible to sit in the bar (same area as the breakfast room), drinks can be ordered and taken back to your room. We quite enjoy sitting at a bar and chatting to other guests. Though we did find a lovely tiny bar down the road (go out turn left, keeping going past Jamie Olivers, and on your left). So all in, we had a lovely break in Budapest, amazing architecture, lots to see and do, amazing meals out, but unfortunately we were a little underwhelmed by the hotel.

We arrived at Budapest, Hungary on September 22nd, 2022 three days early prior to our Viking Cruise and selected to stay at this location. I would have rated this location higher if there were certain things in place in the room. If their facilities personnel would fix these items then for sure the place gets a higher rating. So when we got to our room there were several things that were a bit disappointing. However, I want to say that it is a great location and place to stay. So our room (room 102) had a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. The room looked like it was not vacuumed (a lot of debris on floor), there was a very strong smell in the room and the furniture either needs to be cleaned or replaced. Also, the parking situation if you rent a car is a bit frustrating. So those are my negatives but the positives outweigh these findings and I wanted to emphasize this. The hotel is located on very cute and awesome location. Within walking distance you are in touch with amazing views, historical sites and amazing food. We enjoyed all three of these the entire three days we were there. The staff at the Buda Castle Fashion Hotel were extremely helpful, professional, kind, attentive and available. The included breakfast is amazing and delicious with a variety of options available. I would like to suggest for the owners of Buda Castle Fashion Hotel to work out a deal with the city district as it regards to the parking situation so that you give the guests staying at your hotel a pass that they can use throughout their stay and then at the end of the stay they can be charged for the parking. It was a bit frustrating to figure out the parking stubs being released at the entrance and exit gates. If you rent a car in Budapest and you decide to stroll into the city be aware that parking is almost not free anywhere and you will get a ticket. We got a ticket and it was a nightmare to figure out how to pay for it. Don't let the rental company figure out your parking fine because it will be more expensive. It is much cheaper to go to one of the local post offices and pay for it. I hope that the owner and staff fix the items with room 102 and any other rooms prior to guests arriving. I want to make sure to re-state that the negatives I pointed out here are outweighed by the positives and I would totally and absolutely recommend you make your stay at the Buda Castle Fashion Hotel as this is a very cute and fascinating location - full of history, gorgeous views, great sites and great food.

Booked a week to coincide with the Hungarian Grand Prix, weve been twice before but our usual hotel was closed for refurb. Took a chance on the Buda Castle Fashion Hotel and so glad we did. Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, comfortable beds, its on a quiet street so no noise at all at night. Close to the Bastion. Air con is excellent (and welcome in that heat). Easy to get down to Buda with the #16 & 16A buses which run every few minutes. Really couldnt fault this hotel and we will definitely be back.
