From time to time I try a restaurant or hotel which is so good that I am torn between telling everyone how great the place is or keeping it as my little secret before it becomes too popular and the quality starts to drop. Arcanum hotel is one of those places. When we booked were were told by a very polite receptionist that the wellness package we wanted to book was a bit of a problem due to burst pipes. We were offered a largee discount, which we took, as we were planning to see the local area rather than pampering in the wellness area. So it was an even bigger surprise when we arrived and the receptionist handed a voucher for the local bath spa and upgraded our room. We had a delicious bowl of fruit waiting for us. Each day the room was cleaned and there were grwat facilites. I think we were ne of the few that found the massage chair in the fitness room in the roof area and it was great to use after a day's sightseeing. Here's the main higlight: the food. The breakfast's were excellent - a good range of hot and cold. I especially enjoyed the lecso (peppers, sausage and onion in a tomato sauce), which I've never had for breakfast before but went down a treat. The evening meals (we went half board) had a range of eight different meals, two soups and two desserts. This might not sound like much but the quality and creative approach made the food the highlight of our trip - hence the need for an hour or so in the fitness room each day as well! It's a very quiet place as it is a little out of town so we slept really well. On the down side, the trip to bekescsaba is a little far to walk, but there are bikes available. The staff were always pleasant and polite, with a smile and willing to help. Air conditioning worked well and mosquito nets on the windows.
I loved the hotel, very clean, very friendly staff, huge parking place. I was even able to cancel my second day booking at 15.00 without additional cost, which was so kind of them.
I will recommend anyone this hotel.
I has a short vacation with my family. The hotel is very nice, with a nice design, the restaurant is very, very good, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The staff is very friendly . You could relax in pool, saunas, jacuzzi, gym. You have all in one place!

We are staying in a superior room which is lovely. Everything is nice and spotless clean. But the jacuzzi is cold and the food is definitely not a 4* hotel one. We got a cold, dry, fast food like dinner. Very disapointing.

Stylish, great wellness opportunities, quiet (nut not on that side that faces the main rod), can accommodate only a low number of people. Dinner is great. 3 painpoints: curtains are not blackout, you cannot switch off a mysterious light in the bathroom unless you pull off the entry card and the breakfast is average only.

The property and the house itself are stunning! Beautiful made, clean, luxurious, great. The service is, sadly, by far not adequate. We did a wedding there. Evening before 6 people sat on the Veranda, no waiter. Room not cleaned. Very, very simple breakfast. In the suite one bed-light not working, soap in the toilet empty. They are very proud on their rankings, show the stars and the "9,6 out of 10" on big letters. The hardware keeps this promise, the software sadly not.

Room Tip:Half board is well worth it. Standard room's are fine, but the others are south-facing.
