We wanted into this hotel for at least 3 years. We heard a lot of good from it which was true it is on a nice place, the view is awesome, food is good and the stuff is nice. The rooms are good bathroom is tidy but... at the first room we got in we found a lot of dead...

We spent there our christmas eve. Advantages - the technical staff was very very helpful (far above the average) - location of the hotel is ok - affordable price Disadvantage - building and the rooms are ver old school E.g.: mostly just CRT Tv is available in the rooms, furniture is very old etc. - hotel was crowded, but honestly...

Location first - it is good, being about 5-10 mins walk from the train station / Balatonalmadi centre, with ample parking on site if you want that. It also has a private beachy area (called a strand and not sandy, just a grass area with access to the lake). This is about 500m from the hotel, so not far, but...

The room is nice though cleaning is superficial, I would expect more from a 4star hotel. The beach is dirty and is open to other people. The receptionist is far from polite. Food is average, not much variety.

Fantastic view to the lake and the landscape all around from the bed (from a special room of higher price). Perfect opportunity to spend the day at the Balaton in a safe small strand area with free entering for hotel guests. The restaurant provided a relatively large variety of food, but not of very good quality. The room was big,...

I was here during convention for many years. Hotel is nice and clean, staff is helpfull, food is value for money. It was very good, altough price little bit higher, because its only big hotel in that area.

First rate. Didnt stay this time but used the bar and facilites here whilst staying nearby. I was most impressed with the Management and Staff and the facilities. Private beach on the lake which has access from the hotel via footbridge over shoreside traffic (busy) and quaint railway via sculpture park.

Booking.com gave us "Best price guaranteed" 475 EUR for one night. (!) We accepted because we wanted a nice exclusive stay for us. When we arrived saw that we have a junior suite that HAS NO VIEW of the lake, very run down, broken remote control, empty minibar, rusty bathroom appliances. When we indicated this to the reception they did...

No english speakers on reception, REALLY dirty rooms: stained carpets and pillows, dust everywhere, hair on the sheets and inside the bathroom, TV channels only in hungarian and you'll have to pay extra for english language TV. The beaches nearby are a joke, too expensive, full of unfriendly locals with their families, noisy and disturbing. No way is this a...

It is fun to try all Hotels around Balaton. More often than not you enter a time machine; the package tours public from (former) east Germany; high heels and sweatpants or groups of elderly people and young families with children. Don't get me wrong this is not necessarily a bad thing and most certainly can be enjoyed. The surrounding area,...
