1. Reservations was missed by check in - Hotels fault 2 A/C is not working because of cost saving - 5 star ???? No info in advance so this is a very bad guest handling, rates are of course not cheaper because of limited Service 3 beach is not open yet - lack of maintanance 4 Toilett in room is not working in shower Water did not flow down… Breakfast and Service old fashioned not 5 star a very old fashioned restaurant refurbishment is needed, back to the ‘90 Very poor Service definitely not 5 star rather 3 star… the location is the only one why this hotel is Still alive and have guests Management is doing a bad job more attention on guest needs not just cost saving

An excellent Oceanfront hotel. Very nice view and the location was great. One mile of walking will bring you to the center of the old town of Piran, since there is literally no parking for visitors in Piran. There are several nice restaurant nearby (1-2 minutes walking distance). The room was great, clean and, comfortable. Ample parking spot for self or valet parking. Definitely a good choice when visiting Piran, Slovenia.

We enjoyed beautiful facilities of the hotel however personal and engagement from Rizza at breakfast & Kristina’s team at Grand Caffe made us feel so special and recognized throughout entire stay. Nemanja & Zorana behind the bar are doing magic and made our favorite cocktails elevated.

We had a great time in this beautiful ocean front hotel, during our one day trip to Portoroz, Slovenia. The rooms are clean, spacious with a nice size closet, well stocked mini fridge, and a balcony to enjoy the amazing ocean view. The bathrooms are clean, have a good size, and have all the essential toiletries. The breakfast is amazing...so delicious and with so many choices. Service was very good. Everyone polite and helpful. They also told us that we could spot dolphins swimming early morning. And we did...we woke up at 8 o'clock the next morning, and we were able to see them swimming from our balcony. Amazing... This hotel also offers swimming pool, sauna, spa...but unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy them, so I cannot really say anything about it. The area around the hotel is very nice to go around too. We enjoyed very much a walk by the sunset. So beautiful... Also, close to the hotel we found a delicious, cozy restaurant called POLPO. Amazing food and service. (It is a must try). This hotel may be a little outdated and in need of some improvement here and there, but it is still a nice and pleasant place to stay.

I was in this hotel before and it was a nice experience, but this time... I was really wondering how they cah have 5 stars. 3 maybe... i stayed in Villa park hotel which is old, but clean. I never saw so dirty floor in a hotel. Sadly I did not take a picture. But I did of balcony. It was pigeon poo all over and you could not sit on one chair as it was so dirzy. In a 5 star hotel you would expect a bed to be made every day, but... it was not even touched. The maid only changed towels and nothing else. Uh... I heard the maids on the hallways talking and it seemed Russian language - not sure but definetely not slovenian. And to the restaurant. We had lunch as we were on conference. The food was good, but again but... i had file of trout and I had so many bones in it. Okay it happens, but not in such expensive hotel. I saw cooks running around - none of them was speaking Slovenian. And than dinner... again bad experience with a fish. Even more bones in it. Some cakes had no taste at all, but overal the food was good. But... we had a DJ and personel started cleaning tables so fast and put all the food away. We felt like very unwanted. Very bad experience. The staff was not really friendly. And like someone already wrote in his comment: no help whatsoever from the man at luggage area. We had heavy bags to transport and they only showed us whwre the trolley was. They saw we are women and it was heavy to push it, but... no help offered at all. So in overall I would never stay in such low quality hotel for such high prize. I'm not very xomplicated guest and do not need much, but for this prize I ecpect quality. And clean rooms. There are.much better hotels at Slovenian coast.

I have stayed at this hotel three times for conferences. Everything was outstanding. Every room has an amazing view of the Adriatic Sea. The food, even for a large conference crowd, was excellent. The staff were professional.

Very nice hotel located right next to the sea -the view is magnificent from all the positions where you are … Servise is great and professional, the receptionist are very kindly and friendly open to all questions. The restaurant is also nice like the food only the drinks like juice could be better - because we want to drink apple juice or orange and of course it wasn’t real apple juice … some kind of sirup and not good taste …. For an 5star hotel it has to be fresh pressed juice every day … The rooms are nice and clean with great seaview … Parking was also nice because it was nice space for every car and lot of places … ALL in ALL a nice experience and hope to come once again …

We attended a wedding organised at the hotel last week. Stayed for a few days. I must say the wedding was well organised, the food was incredible and service impeccable. Highly reccomended if you are thinking to hold a by the sea. Even the service at the small Chapel nearby was amazing with drinks provided by the hotel All the rooms have incredible sea views, walking distance to many restaurants and bars and to the bus stops which has the free bus that goes down the coast. The buffet restaurant again has amazing views and the food is really nice plus the staff are really good. There are a few cons though. The main one was the lift, with many conferences running alongside the full hotel the lift is not sufficient and sometimes there is a long wait for it. The other thing is that there is no food service by the pool, which is under par for a hotel of this standard. Not very relaxing to carry a bag of food to the poolside. We found this after we came to the pool so we couldn't go back either. One thing that upset me a bit is that 2 weeks before arrival I called the hotel to ask if I arrived at 12 pm could I still dry clean my dress for the wedding and they said ok but when I came around 11 they said sorry the laundry left for the day and i couldnt give it that day so i didnt have my dress sorted for the next day, the laundry manager was very apologetic but it almost ruined thr wedding for me, luckily I managed to sort it myself but it was unnecessary stress. Other than these minor inconveniences the experience was amazing and we will definitely come back.

The restaurant does not serve meals during the day, either the roof top bar, we were told to go the beach bar and once we got there we had to wait for a pretty while to be told there is no food either. The cocktails are awful, they do not know how to prepare a simple mojito. They are rude and make clients feel uncomfortable

I have been visiting this hotel for 30 years and i have noticed a lot of changes during this time. This year it was obvious that corona has left a serious impact to the services. The teracce was not workig due to the renovation. In the middle of the season. Thes said that it was the most apropriate time because during the summer there are not many guests on the terace Onlay in the morning and in the evening. But of course - when else? They remove the shop from the lobby. The nearest shops are in the complex 500 away. Too far. They put a depo for bikes instead. In the main lobby. Unbelivable. The service was avarage. Only the waiter Srečko in the grand caffe was the old school and kind and preffessional. Others youg, unexperienced, students. They didn't delevered the newspaper in the saturday I have ordered from home to the hotel. They said that the secretary's office is closed on saturdays. What???!!! The hotel with 5*''''!!! As I was very angry the offer to buy me one and they did but it was delivered to the wrong room.young The bar on the beach is avarage. With almost all young students as waiters. Unexperienced, sometimes ignorant and they didn't speak very much. The VIP beach with reservations was OK, but not very well marked ar badly comunnicated as there were a lot of turist who wanted to lay there withou reservations and they have a proble to remove them. Boys on the beac were very quite. They did there job, but without any enthusiasm. The only exeption was Vid. He spoke with evry guest even one word, he was always kind and smiling. And I saw 2 of this boys lying on the beach on the chairs which are meant for guests. Even if they were there in thier free tine, tih is unacceptable. The food in the hotel restaurat was good but very racionalized. The pesonel in the restaurant was OK. Rooms avarage, but the view is incredible. So at the end. I cannot say that this hotel is for 5*. Deffinately they lost at least 1*. But nevertheless this is still my favourite hotel at the sea.
