Modern, unusual architecture outside and inside hotel. Comfortable rooms and beds. Clean room with enaugh space for daily and night rest. Grest breakfast. Big choice of food with manny taste and very delicious. Professional and great services. Beautiful outdoor swimming pool.
we stayed in 3rd floor and the room had beautiful sea view. Hotel personnel was very kind and helpful. Room was clean, there was also bath coat. Pool is smaller, but big enough for swimming. Breakfast was really good and diverse.
The hotel lies at the outskirt of Portoroz/Lucia in walking distance to a lot of restaurants. I would definitely recommend in terms of value for money. Pros: - German speaking personnel - Free parking - Great variety for breakfast - Pool included Cons: - rooms / pool changing area could be a bit cleaner
This is a pretty hotel, in a lovely location, with many amenities, good food, and a friendly and very helpful staff. There is much to like here. There are also a few things that are just silly and annoying. The tiny lights above the bathroom mirror do NOT shine where they're needed....instead they illuminate the outside of a very ornate mirror frame. The very large, curved, and padded bed headboard meant that I had to get completely out of bed to reach my nightstand or turn on/off my bedside light. The toilet in the bath was REALLY low, with nothing around to grab....great for a 5 year old, but not for seniors with arthritis. Similarly, the majority of the trendy furniture pieces in the lobby were also very low and "squishy"....difficult to get out of. The breakfast buffet was tasty and bountiful, but located at one end of a long, fairly narrow room, filled with closely grouped tables. Navigating the crowd with a plate and coffee to find an empty table (often at the far end) was a bit challenging. All that could have been overlooked, but some things were far more serious...accidents just waiting to happen! The bathroom floor is a sheet of polished marble, without any lip etc. between the shower stall and the rest of the room. There are no grab bars in the shower, no rubber floor mats, etc......just polished marble that gets extremely slippery when wet. And, when taking a normal shower, most of the bathroom floor gets very, very wet. Bad news! In addition, there wasn't proper attention paid to hazards. The indoor/outdoor carpet at the bottom of the entrance stair had a wrinkle and a significant tear. I saw a woman stumble on it and nearly fall on the concrete. Similarly, rain seeped through the ceiling after a rain storm and left water puddles on the marble hallway to the dining room. Someone had put a rag around one of the "leaking" pillars, but the nearby puddles were ignored. My spouse stumbled on the unexpected step and almost fell into the depressed concrete foot bath in the pool house while picking up a towel. There were no signs, arrows, warnings, etc. to alert people to this danger. I think management is concentrating on glitz and style, while neglecting its responsibility to help guests avoid unnecessary aggravation and injury.…
Just got back from a 5 day stay at Portorose Butique hotel. Room ( 503 ) is located on the top floor. It was clean and has a huge terrace with lovely views. Breakfast was great with good selection of food. You can park your car in hotel's garage (10€/night). Hotel is located at the end of Portorose, near Lucija (10 minute walk to centre of Portorose).
