Hotel is good, has a nice location about 15 - 20 minute walk along the sea into Piran. Nice to be away from town a bit and be able to walk in / out with ease. Staff was kind and helpful and spa area was nice. There is parking for 5 euros a night and there are some areas on and near the property where you can swim in the sea. Room was fine, they are beginning a big renovation of the main building starting this week, so this will likely change and be updated to be more nice and modern when they reopen.
Really good value for money. It's not the most luxurious of hotels but it was clean, the staff were excellent, the view was loverly and the price was very reasonable. Parking was easy, although the car park got busy we found a space no problem. Walk to Piran was simple and a very nice stroll. No safe, which isn't great.
They don't have so many parking spaces, so we had to park in the lot 300 m away. Parkingfee is 5 euro per day. Fast check-in and nice girls in the reception. Try to get a room on high floor because our room on 1 floor did not had the best oceanwiev
Positive: Great location right at the sea Friendly, helpful staff Modern, spacious room (superior room ground floor with cabana bed) Good breakfast Pet friendly Less positive: Very thin walls between rooms (superior room ground floor with cabana bed) The hotel lacks a bit of atmosphere Extra charge for parking. wellness, bikes, snorkeling etc; i can understand that but prices are already fairly high. NB: It is not located in Piran itself but a 1,2 km walk along the shore outside of town. There is a public beach and bar/restaurant next to it; there is not much else in the vicinity.
Let's start with the good - the newer superior rooms are spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar does not offer a big selection of meals, but the food is fresh and tasty. And now the bad - the hotel has serious problem with the parking. The hotel simply does not have enough parking space for all the guests even outside of the main tourist season. You have to be extremely lucky to get a parking space. The on side parking was the only reason why we decided to stay in this hotel in this not so nice bay and not in the town... Big mistake. Than there's the "hotel beach" - to call it a beach is a joke. It is more like a stone seaside terace with terrible access to the sea (but to be fair, there are no nice beaches on Slovenian coast). They have a beach bar - you can get a beer in a plastic cup and drink it on "the beach", but they do not provide any beach tables, only the deckchairs... Where are you supposed to put the cup full of beer or your personal belongings is a mystery... Most of the guests smoke on "the beach". But it looks like the hotel does not care to have "the beach" littered, since there's not a single ashtray provided on that "beach", neither a trash bin. It's all about the details that no one at the hotel seems to care about that are keeping the experience at this hotel so low. One more example - you get an OK breakfast here but with the worst coffee ever. The coffee is not drinkable at all. You can get better coffee at any vending machine at any gas station. And then there are the activities that the hotel offers to it's guests. Or better said - the lack of them. This is a hotel to get really bored at. There's literally nothing to do here and no sport or free time facilities. No playground, no pool, nothing. If you're with kids, your totally out of luck. Bored to death. All in all - just like at the most of the Slovenia hotels, you do not get here what you payed for. It is way too overpriced for what the hotel offers, not to say they charge you extra a lot of money for any small thing, like a more comfy "beach bed" (30€ a day outside of the main season!!!!), e.g. And the hotel does not have any atmosphere at all, if any - you have a feeling you're staying at a pensionist house... that's the kind of tourists that this place looks to attract. The lack of the attention to the details is annoying. I can't recommend staying here if you're visiting Piran. Stay in the town directly - you will have bigger problems parking your car at this hotel than in the town anyway and you won't get so bored so fast. …
