This place is amazing. Apartments are big, spacious and excellent equipped. Furniture is new and everything is clean. Bed is huge and very comfortable. It's very peaceful and quiet. The staff is great and my big, big thanks goes to Mrs. Sabina (although everyone was very nice and attentive ). She was really helpful and full of understanding. Thank you...Surrounding is very nice: Pohorje ski stadium is a few meters away. Beautiful in spring time. Spa is very nice, clean and pleasant. And the best thing is that you can be alone in it. Villa Mari is really great place, worth to visit and have some relaxation. I will definitely be back
I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It shows how a hotel with self-catering apartments can operate to high environmental standards and provide a brilliant service. The rooms are well equipped, spacious and modern and there is a 'wellness centre' if you need it. The hotel is in a wonderful, quiet location just below ski lifts to the mountains which are great for walking and cycling out of the skiing season. The manager and staff are helpful and friendly and the cost is not high. I was part of a group using the hotel as a base for training for a week and everyone was impressed. If they added a training room, it would be in great demand! It is easy to get to from abroad - use the GoOpti transport service from airports.
I have stayed in Gozdna villa Mari twice during this summer and enjoyed every bit.
It has nice location overlooking hills of Pohorje. Apartments are huge, spacious with nice living area and kitchen wich will meet you every need. It is clean , beds are huge and comfy, bathrooms spotlles with huge tub and all supplies you might need. The balcony is huge with wooden table and chairs and it is soo quiet that it feels like you are alone in the woods.
I would strongly recomend familys with children to consider spending winter holidays there it is perfect for skiing winter break.
You will enjoy there I can guarantee you.

Value for money, a great City just a bus ride away, and really nice people working in the hotel and in local eateries etc made my two night stay a really good experience. Maribor had a music festival on the same weekend but even with-out this you can feel the charm and character of the place and even in summertime its an Alpine resort with good links to the local peaks and amenities. Rooms are more like mini flats with kitchen area, lounge area, sleeping etc so will be calling back in next year all going well!

Nice view from the apartments and Very friendly employees, they are treating you Very good, the restaurants are In the near and you can choose between local food or european one, Very tasty and as a tip if you are not really hungry choose the small portion :). You can go up to the hill with the lift and then on the way Down you can enjoy a small trip full of adrenaline with the "PohorJet" from the top of the hill.

We took the studio apartment for 3 days. At the last minute we changed room for 4 to a smaller room for two. Rooms look decently and in order. The surprise greeted us in the bathroom where there was not enough toilet paper, dirty shell and the worst, dirty towels. Three towels tidily arranged with a lot of big stains-brown, to yellow, to pink and colored powders. We called the reception and the girl without apology picked up the dirty towels with the explanation that the maid might not changed towels (?!) We were in shock. At the reception usually there is no one so we called them by telephone or at our expense unnecessarily get in touch with them. Before leaving, of course no excuse for questionable hygiene, regularly gave the bill for accommodation and goodbye. Wi fi is also terrible. I do not recommend.…

The aparthotel looks nice from the outside although different than on the pictures presented on the internet - tooth of time has done its. The villa is located next to ski resort Mariborsko Pohorje gondola which is great. All that was shadowed by bad staff - most of the time there was no one at the reception desk. We had dirty bathroom - dirty, used towels (I've never experienced anything like that), no toilet paper and so on. I would not recommend this place to anyone...

Our trip to Gozdna villa Mari was one of the best experiences we ever had! Staff is extremely friendly, service is great, food is also great. Time we spent in spa was really relaxing. Sleeping quality is really really good. I have nothing to complain about, we enjoyed our time and are willing to come back!

The apartment was very cozy, comfortable and clean. Also air conditioned! The location is very good – only few kilometers from the highway, so for us it was a perfect stop over. I have ssen that there are cable cars just next to the house, so it should be very convenient for a winter holidays too. The only disappointment was no baby bed ready at our arrival, although it was booked in our reservation. This wouldn't be so bad if we were not arriving at 1am after 10 hours on the road with lots of traffic and storm in the mountains. However, the personnel was friendly and nice, although a bit too slow, and didn't charge us next morning for the baby bed to compensate the inconvenience. As we were staying only for one night, it was a bit inconvenient that no breakfast was available on site. They offered us to go to a nearby hotel, but this was less convenient so we decided to get the breakfast on the way. Otherwise the apartment is really excellent for a longer stay: lots of space, well equipped, comfortable and clean.…

This apartment hotel makes a good location for families going on winter sports. Located directly at the ski slopes next to the cable car station makes it a great place to stay. Apartments are large (30+ sq.mtr), friendly and bright, even with a small balcony. Fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher makes it easy for self-catering. This is more an apartment residence than a classical hotel. For city tourists in the no-snow season, the location is somewhat remote, far from city center and lies rather blunt between large empty car parking lots and no lighting outside. A bit spooky, when arriving after sunset, but perfectly quiet night time. The hotel has no restaurant for dinner or breakfast, but there is a small Italian-style resto within 10 min walking distance, just past the Habakuk hotel. The sauna & spa facilities are small and nice, you need to reserve your 2-hr slot in advance and you'll have the spa reserved all to yourself. Very pleasant. The hotel lobby and reception is simply a counter desk at the staircase on ground floor, reception is very friendly although not too efficient in getting things done. House rules are a bit youth-hostel style , e.g. you need to strip your own bed linens, wash up the dishes and bring down the trash cans on check-out. The place is fine for a family holiday and winter sports. For a city tourist in October, I guess my expectations just did not match with the facilities the hotel offers.…
