Very noisy till 3 am as our room 19 was above a nightclub. Clubbers and drunks were partying and chanting both nights at the exit after 1st night I Tried to change room to the other side but was declined. Furthermore the WIFI did not work in our room but worked in the hallway. The ladies at the reception were polite and trying to fix the issue. When the 2nd day it was still not fixed the male receptionist told me it was not true and working!!! It was my I pad and I phone fault. Been travelling for 4 weeks previously and not a single issue. The room design was weird. Toilet and bathroom separated by a glass window! On a positive note the breakfast was nice
This is a superb hotel, located in a fantastic position by the water in Ljubljana. the staff were bright, friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable. The restaurant served high quality food at dinner and at breakfast, and the extensive wine list was greatly enjoyed. The city is an absolute delight, and the rooftop pool was the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring.
We arrived at the hotel having parked in the hotel’s recommended parking. A good 12 minutes walk away. The receptionist was not overly welcoming and had difficulty cracking a smile. First impression not good. The two rooms we had were well appointed but incredibly small. The bathroom area behind a sliding glass door and curtain had zero privacy and was poky in the extreme. On the good side, the location could not be better and the breakfast was very good. I have difficulty recommending this hotel as it is overpriced for what it is offering.
We were staying in Vander Urbani Resort in October 2021. The location of Hotel is good, right next to city center, but you have to leave the car outside of the center and walk for about 10 minutes to get to the hotel. After reading all the comments, we expected it to be nice, but it was opposite. The room was not so clean, the windows were very dirty as well as shower. Smell in the hallway was really bad due to the restaurant downstairs. The breakfast was poor. The only good thing about this hotel was staff. They were nice and polite.
I stayed here at the end of Nov and this is my second stay now in December after circling Slovenia. I thought about staying in a less expensive hotel but I decided to say hi. Ames’s eyes lit up behind her mask when she saw me and I knew I could never stay anywhere else in this city. What a wonderful welcome back. :) Special thanks to her. The energy and vivaciousness from everyone at this hotel is the best I’ve experienced on my entire trip. They are kind and professional. A perfect mix. I had dinner again and it was delicious …again. Service great, breakfast delicious everyone in the restaurant was fabulous (they were different from my last stay) . So now I feel I am very qualified to say that you shouldn’t think about staying anywhere else. Breakfast is great too and the parking isn’t so bad. Park it and leave it. It’s worth it to be in the center of everything and to people watch right put front of the hotel. Highly recommend you experience Ljubljana the way I have. Again, special thanks to Amra. <3…
Beautiful boutique hotel in the downtown. Greatly located, very good rooms. Cheerful and helpful personnel. No complains. One important note for people with cars: the downtown is a pedestrian zone. You cannot drive to the hotel. The garage they advertise is about 10-15 min walk. My advice, call/email them in advance, they will provide the parking address you can enter into your navigation system. They can also arrange free transportation to/from the garage. I recommend the hotel.
Our stay could have started very well if there had not been a water damage in the room of this hotel before our arrival. We had left our luggage at the reception desk and presented our ID cards without being warned. After several minutes in lubjana, the reception called me to tell me that the room was not available. Back at the hotel, the staff only said they were sorry but did not offer us any alternative accommodation. A part of the hotel was privatized for a party and were overbooked. We had to ask them to call another hotel (found on booking) to check availability. A problem can happen but the staff was not able to solve it. Beyond that, the rooftop is beautiful (privatized at our arrival so inaccessible). The toilets, in the basement shared with the restaurant, were not clean. In short, to deserve 4 stars and positive ratings, the infrastructure and service must be impeccable.…
+ great location + lovely dinner + amazing rooftop pool + waiter who was not very familiar with the check- in process but very friendly - staff was not very pleasing. When we needed the reception desk, we just got assistance once and the waiters did not know how to check in or help us with the parking card and we had to pay the full price of the garage - the room was kind of smelly, it would be nice if windows were opened before arrival - the toilet door is transparent and cannot be closed properly (sliding door), might be uncomfortable if you are not very intimate with your partner/friend you are traveling with - breakfast was minimalistic and we had long waiting times -breakfast waitresses (friendly but not coping very well)
We stayed here as a family and couldn't have had nicer service at the hotel. The location is ideal- the center of town- you can walk right out to everything. The two reasons I hesitate to refer would be the room design- just strange to not have a soapdish and other basics in the room. We also had a door that wouldn't lock and used a owner's key to lock it the entire time we were there. Seems like that should have been fixed on a 3-night stay. Breakfast and pool were lovely.
We were lucky enough to stay in this modern boutique hotel for one night during a recent visit to Ljubliana. City centre is pedestrians only, but the hotel has a deal with a local parking garage for reduced rates. Check in was friendly and efficient. Room was excellent, clean and well equipped. Roof top has a plunge pool and decking which gives an amazing view across the rooftops and Castle. Breakfast was to order in the hotel restaurant due to the CV-19 restrictions but was freshly prepared with a friendly service. Many bar, cafes and restaurants directly outside of the hotel, so plenty of choice. We stayed over on a Monday so the hotel bar/restaurant were closed for lunch/dinner, but understand they are highly rated. Check out also efficient and friendly and even met the Australian owner. Highly recommended!…
