The accommodation is not luxurious but best described as comfortable. The rooms have everything you need. Its clean and run by the most impressive people with a genuine wish to provide great and friendly service. We took a motorcycle tour by ourselves around the Balkans and arrived in what for us was a foreign country.
We where taken care of, shown our rooms and given a coffee while we waited to be meet by the tour operator. We enjoyed the breakfasts and on one evening had a beautiful evening meal there. Getting into town was easy by bus that stopped almost outside the address.
While we did the 14 day tour we left all our excess baggage there.
We where really impressed with all this but it got even better. On the day we where leaving we had a wait until our airport transfer would arrive. Although past check out time we where offered full use of the room until we departed. I was even shouted a beer by the owner! We had a great time and are definitely returning this year, this time with another couple. We cant wait to show our friends the wonderful hospitality we experienced. Thanks guys you really set the bar high.
Our actual travel date was May and June 2013. We are back from the other side of the world two years later because of this sort of experience.

We spent a total of 5 nights at the Pension during an extended motorcycle tour in the Balkans. After our first arrival, we were able to store all our gear at the Pension while we traveled by rental car to Budapest and Vienna, both short drives away. During our motorcycle tour, we also left excess bags at the Pension. When we returned, our bags were already in our room. The two brothers who manage the pension, Silvo and Ales, are the best hosts! Excellent English, helpful, great suggestions, and always available. When we asked about taking the bus to the city center, we were given a bus pass to use. The bus stop is located just up the street; very convenient. The breakfast was plentiful and good. Food in the restaurant is outstanding. Rooms are clean and cheerful. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Refrigerator in room has what you need at a fair price. Great towels, bathrobes, comfortable beds. Nice porch to sit and read or to enjoy a beer or glass of wine. Restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday, but there is a nice market within a short walk and a local pizzeria with good oven fired pizza. Also Within walking distance is a nice park, walking/running trails along a river, all in a clean and safe area. Our taxi picked us up at 4 am to go to the airport, and although we told Silvo he did not need to make breakfast for us, when we came downstairs he was there to get our luggage, had coffee already made, and had a wonderful picnic lunch packed in a bag for us. It is rare to find such wonderful customer service like this. The pension deserves 5 stars, but because of the distance from city center (4 miles), I can only give 4. The location did not bother us, since getting to the city was quick and easy, but others may find the distance an inconvenience. Kmecki Hram is a true gem and we will stay there again.

We had the pleasure of a two night stay at the Kmecki Hram on my sojourn home to see my Slovenian roots after a week in Athens. My Grandmother was from Slovenia and I wanted to experience a bit of nostalgia. We rented a car which was quite resonance to see the sights a make a road trip to Bled Lake area, so I didn't mind staying a few minutes out of the city center. Kmecki Hram is located just off the ring around Ljubljana, so within 5 minutes we were downtown, and crossing the Dragon Bridge.
It is a wonderful hotel with unbelievable customer service. Ales was always there to help us navigate our destinations, and making sure our stay was pleasant. I am not much of a hard boiled egg fan so Ales, fried eggs for us every morning to go with the delicious breakfast buffet.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else on my next trip to Slovenia.

I stayed 4 nights at Kmecki Hram in August before and after a motorcycle trip. It is a comfortable B&B in Ljubljana which offers a very nice breakfast and a real personal greeting to each traveler. As a female solo traveler I felt very taken care of. It was located within a walking distance to a big shopping mall with food court. Also it is the bus route which takes one directly to downtown. It offered air conditioner in room which was welcome as it was very hot. Great place to stay if you visit Ljubljana.

I rarely give a five star review, but Kmecki Hram deserves that and more. It is clean and affordable with many small things thoughtfully remembered (hair dryer, full length mirror, little fridge, laundry bag, etc). Our room was spacious with a couch and work table. Housekeeping was excellent, and the location was the best of both worlds: quiet and outside the city but close enough to get there easily (we took the bus- it's maybe a block away and takes you to downtown in 15 minutes or so. Much cheaper than a cab). My husband and I ate in the attached restaurant twice. It was very reasonable (husband recommends the house-made salami if it's available). Seems to be very popular with locals making a business deal.
But what clinches the stay and makes it a five star place is the service... The people, especially Ales (say, Alesh), are incredibly helpful and kind with any of your travel questions. If you need to find a laundromat, buy souvenirs, find a pharmacy, and all the usual questions about day trips, they will gladly assist you. They set a very high bar for the rest of our trip.

I agree with the previous post that this facility. It is clean, affordable and offers great food. I want to tell you how gracious the host are! If you need English speaking host, they have this covered. If you need a cheap taxi to town, they have this covered. If you want a great meal with great service they have this covered. If you're group is leaving at 5:00 Am to catch a plane and you need coffee and a light breakfast, they have this covered! Did I mention that they also have great rates for their rooms and the restaurants food is GREAT and very reasonably priced. I may never go back to Ljubljana, but if I do I will stay at Kmecki Hram B&B. These guys ROCK. jason

October 2014 I have been here for lunch. Then I took a card with me because I knew I will be back in Ljubljana for business. Well May 2015 I had to spend 2 days here and remembered the Inn. Good nice room. Clean and equiped with everything you need on a trip like this. The room comes with breakfast. This is also top! There is enough. And also the service is good. Last night I had dinner in the restaurant. Nice good local food for a good price. There is plenty of parking space if you need it. So until next time đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

During my visit in October 2014 I have had a great lunch during my business trip. Eting real Slovenian food was very nice. I like to tast the local kitchen when I'm abroad. I'm sure I will be back soon.

In the specified period we still have rooms available (singles, twins, doubles).
We are about 4 km from the heart of the city (The main - Prešeren square) and 100 metres from our boarding house is also bus stop.
Lake Bled, I agree, a must see nature attraction is about 57 km from us.
The costs:
If you take 4 single rooms, than is the cost per person 226,83 EUR for all the nights and if you take 2 double rooms is per person 161,58EUR. In the prices are included bed and breakfast, all taxes (also visitor tax) and special rate for your stay per person.
