This place was wonderful. Excellent location and service, especially by Marusha. She arranged parking near the property and answered my many questions about the city. Rooms were clean and my spacious bedroom had plenty of room for luggage and clothes. Easy access to old town and Preseren Sq. Staff provided excellent recommendations for cafes, wine bars and restaurants. Highly recommend this place and its reasonable prices.

The people who work there are extremely warm, kind, friendly and helpful. Made us feel "at home"! They lent us a book about Ljubljana, and gave advice about things to see that might interest us. They truly seemed to care about making our visit an enjoyable one.

Arriving at Pod Lipo is pretty exciting as it is situated in its own square and there is an excellent restaurant on the ground floor, which is welcoming any time but especially so if you arrive too early for check in. The restaurant staff are really friendly, the food and drink are great and reasonably priced and English is spoken. The same goes for the helpful Penzion staff. The reception and rooms are one flight up, stairs only, in this great old building. My room was clean, there was lots of hot water, the wifi was good, I had an air conditioner, the terrace was a lovely feature. The area is very safe. There is chatter from the restaurant but everything quiets down at a reasonable hour. Next to reception is a lounge where you can enjoy tea and coffee and board games. Note that if you don't book your room and pay online, they only accept cash at the Penzion. The restaurant does take cards for meals.

It was so lovely to have AC! We were in room 1 which had 2 twin beds. There was a small fridge that didn't seem very cold but we adjusted it and it might have gotten a little colder. There is also a bigger shared fridge available and a shared kitchen area for making tea/coffee. There was an extra mirror outside the bathroom which is always helpful for getting ready. The location was fine for us, though you'll probably want to take the bus from the train/bus station. It's a short walk to old town and restaurants.

Nice hotel that is more like a hostel, 5-7 minutes walk from the center of town (Triple Bridge) and 5 minutes from the river. They have several WiFi channels and it takes some trial to find one that works reliably. There is a kitchen if you want to eat in or you can walk 3 minutes to a hotel that has a very nice buffet for 7 euros. The restaurant/pub "Walter" located in the same building has good Slovenian food and beer at fair prices. Note that walls are thin and if you are adjacent to the kitchen, as we were, you will hear lots of conversation during the day. Very nice staff here.

The owner, Marjan, went out of his way to be helpful, even taking me to a computer shop so that I could replace the mobile charger I had left elsewhere. Very convenient to the centre.of this most attractive city. Highly recommended.

Nice position in the center of the city about half a km form the river area. Very old and suggestive building that probably needs some works. Service acceptable, personnel kind and available, rooms a little to small and not properly cleaned. Breakfast not included but just over the corner you can find a cafeteria with a lot of pastries

Cute little place with 10 rooms or so. Very clean. Quiet neighborhood although I'm a light sleeper and could hear other guests coming in and out of their rooms. Free good coffee and tea. No breakfast. Parking is available around the side of the hotel, but it's not free. 7 euros a day as of September 2018. There are only 3 official spots but I squeezed in as a fourth with no problem on one of the nights. Very friendly staff. A little hard to find especially at night. It's in a "v shape" of two streets and there is no lit sign after dark. Would choose this place again!

I stayed in Pod Lipo Penzion for five days. The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and nicely arranged and the host is very welcoming. It is near the center and is surrounded by any markets that you might need. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who is eager to visit Ljubljana.

I was here with my girlfriend from 19th to 23rd of February, service was very good, room was clean with balcony (good for smoking), almost in the center of the town, good kitchen in restaurant below, can only recommend. Pesonnel was also super friendly, thums up for Mr. Marjan.
