Garni Hotel Miklic is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Very Classy, elegant, clean. The staff The best ever. They went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. The breakfast was awesome. There was a lot of food. It does not deserve a 5 starts it deserves 10 stars!
The hotel is away from the busy centre of the town but only a few minutes walk and thus very quiet. This family run hotel gave us 4 nights of great service from all members of staff and 4 lovely breakfasts. We were told they do not do evening meals . Our room was very well appointed , well cleaned and if we return to this lovely town we would certainly stay here again .
Me and my family decide to try the restaurant and the food was average it wasn’t anything special but it was good enough the location wasn’t very special But the staff was very nice overall I think it’s an average restaurant
Hotel Miklič represent the best accommodation that Kranjska Gora has to offer. Cosy, clean and on the good location, near ski slopes. Roms are spacious enough, even for a family with two children. Well equipped and maintained properly. Restaurant is nice, with a tasty food. The biggest plus is hotel stuff. Very friendly, polite and willing to meet all your expectations.
we booked the hotel because of its high ratings and it didn't disappoint .. The room was spacious and clean. At first we were not going to do the half board, but the menu was extensive and the food turned out to be very good. They also have a nice drying room for ski boots.
Back again for Christmas to this small hotel Still as good as ever, clean, great staff, super food/wine at Breakfast & evening, well priced. We would not think of going anywhere else in the area Thanks again to all of Miklic family & staff
Leaving Tolmin I rode up the Vrsic Pass, fantastic, to Kranjska Gora. It is a really nice place. This hotel was excellent. Easy motorbike parking. As others have said I had a beautiful huge suite with balcony and good views. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Food was plentiful and delicious with a huge choice on the half board menu. House wine was reasonably priced and delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention must be made of Gregor Miklic who was friendly and helpful, I would good back without hesitation.
It is a shame that this restaurant is classified under hotels as a great many people who want a really good meal will not find it reviewed. In our case it has been some time since we ate here but over the years the standard of food has not deteriorated. I chose the spicy fillet steak with sides of my choice and it was excellent - full of flavour not masked by over hot seasoning, chips and vegetables also tasty. My husband chose the frogs legs and got a decent plateful with a side of chips that could have served a large family. Wine was good, service very friendly as was the bill and after a couple of good grappas we left in an extremely good mood.
Beautiful place, as were all of our hotels in Slovenia. What made this one better was the staff. Gregor is the manager and a manager par excellence. A serious biker himself he knew the local routes in the area and was only to happy to give out any information you asked about and then later hand you a map that you had not thought to ask for. He was the most personable person we met in a month and we met many good people. The food was also great. Do not be surprised by the dinner waiter, Dusko. An unassuming fellow, getting on in life and looking very serious and professional (read, dull). Then he will trick you with a wrong plate and grin or dance a jig and sing a diddy. We nearly applauded him. he made a good meal so much more. He is a treasure.
I really could not speak too highly of Hotel Miklic. We had a beautiful huge suite with balcony and magnificent views. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Food was plentiful and delicious with a huge choice on the half board menu. House wine was reasonably priced and delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention must be made of Gregor Miklic who each day with great patience talked us through the route of the walk we planned to do. Kranjska Gora village and the surrounding area is astonishingly beautiful. We hope to return one day.
