We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel stuff is very polite and helpful (explained everything at the check in and was available during our our stay at all time). Big plus to Breakfast (big variety), hotel parking (you do need to search and pay extra for parking) as well as possibility to use hotel swimming pool on the day when you are leaving. What could be improved - renovation of hotel (it was high class hotel 40 years ago, but now it needs full renovation). It would be nice that hotel has also outside pool - we were staying at the time when outside temperatures were really high, so it would be great to take a swim outside. If we will have a chance to visit Kranjska gora again, we wouldn't mind to stay here again!
We booked hotel in the middle of the February, for skiing. We were really excited, looking forward to stay in the hotel with four stars, known as one of the best hotels in Kranjska gora. Been known for years, as big Slovenian company Hit run it. But, it was a dissapointment. It looks like it is stucked in time, a lot of things needs to be updated. WORST: - room's door slamming REALLY loud (one small stopper would fix this) _ paying for everything (bathrobe? for 5€) MEDIUM: - people management (no proper greeting, no PCT scanning, staff in the breakfast jumping in front of customers, etc.) BEST: - amazing food (kudos to the cooks; breakfasts and dinners are awesome. Nicely prepared, fresh and delicious). It's really convenient being so close to the ski slopes. If you book, skip the room 321. It's for the elves, really low and balcony room low also.…
I will focus on only one aspect which is extremely dangerous and a proven place of coronavirus outbreaks on cruise ships, and could be applied here. The buffet for breakfast is absolutely insane. We had cancelled our ski trip to Bosnia and came here thinking that the measures would surely be enforced here. Only random guests wear a mask while getting food from the breakfast buffet. Random guests use utensils while majority of guests use their bare hands to get pastries and bread. Children cough at food, pick it up with hands and put back if they dont like it, without masks and any adult supervision. It is absolutelly appaling that this type of behaviour is happening in the middle of biggest surge of coronavirus cases in europe, especially the new variant. We are absolutely horrified!!!…
Let me start off with the positive and the sole reason for that "extra" star. It will be a short list, so here it goes: The hotel lies right next to the ski slope. If the only (and I do mean only) thing you care about is getting up and going skiing right away, you may consider this as your potential part-time residence. Anything else, move along, there have to be better options. Upon arriving we waited for almost 10 minutes in front of an empty desk. Not even that, there were two gentlemen fiddling with a printer without even acknowledging us. A simple sorry, it will be a minute would more than suffice. We spent that time looking around and realizing that the whole place was pretty outdated and poorly managed. When we finally came to our room, it was much smaller than advertised. It had only the bare minimum that a hotel ought to have. And it was hot, unbearably hot (26°C on the baby monitor). Upon complaining I stood in line behind a lady complaining that her room was too cold. We both got an explanation that everything was centrally controlled. And no, opening the window could not solve the problem in tle long run since it was -5°C outside. Next in line in this highway robbery were the bathrobes which were 5€ "per use" and the towels for the pool were 2€ for hotel guests paying 200€+ a night! On the subject of the pool (which was a huge draw for our family since we have a baby that loves to swim), the water was cold. Not by the baby criteria cold but cold as 90% of all the pool-goers crammed in one hot tub suited for 10 people. The air was of similar temperature which made a lengthy stay unbearable. Moving on to the food, it was subpar and repetitive. The staff seems fed up and could be described as nice in 1/3 of cases (and I am being generous here). Thankfully we used a hotel just for a starting point for outdoor activities and the weather was nice, so there was no reason to spend any additional time inside. If we had to, we would probably call it a done deal after the first night. The checkout process was the epitome of the whole experience. We waited in line for 30 (!) minutes watching three people operating two computers and all relying on the one competent member of the staff. Let me emphasize that this criticism is written with the cost and the star count in mind (which are both too high). If it were a 3 star hotel for a third of the price, I would accept everything as a compromise. We love Kranjska Gora and will continue to visit, but Ramada will only remain as a teaching moment. Avoid!…
We spent two nights at the hotel and the stay was pleasant however I think that the price for the night with breakfast is too high. We expected more for the fact that the hotel has 4*. The breakfast was fine and the staff at the restaurant was very friendly. I expected more of the room, there were stains on the window, also the water in the shower was at one moment very hot and the next moment it was cold. What bothered me also is that we could hear every singe voice from the other guests and flush from other toilets. On the other hand, beds were great and really soft and the location is perfect. To sum up, it was a pleasant stay but it was too expensive. We expected more.
We spent there 2 nights, and we didnt feel comfortable, especially for the hotel with four stars. We expected a little more than we got. Rooms without air condition, smell from bathroom, small room and bathroom, TV was working very bad. The food was average, nothing special, without any taste.
We came for a short family holidays. Staff were friendly, especially those who were serving food at breakfast and dinner (due to covid self-service breakfast/dinner is organized in a way that you move around the restaurant with a mask on, you select the food you would like to eat and then a waiter puts it on the plate and hands it over to you). Swimming pool is nice and limited to 40 people only (covid) which means it doesn't get crowded. Unfortunatelly you have to queue if it is full until someone leaves (you cannot book a place in advance).
Very kind and helpful personnel in reception and in restaurant - chefs and waiters. Room was clean - taking limits because of CV19 into consider. CV19 also has impact in entrance to swimming pool. This year is because CV19 and limitations related with this special from every perspective - cleaning service, animation, self service restaurant, flowers on balconies. ... When you have room with view on mountanis it is great, but when you have room with view on parking isnt it so great.
Ramada Resort for me is a never again. Apart from the very kind and outstanding personnel at the hotel (all receptionists and breakfast/dining staff was kind and helpful) there are no other bright points for me. What bothered me: - stinky room and even a stinkier toilette - dirty toilette - dirty bathtub pannel - no cleaning sevice (should order it one day in advance - written on a note on the table. We didn't read it untill we noticed that the room was not cleaned for several days) - the door to the stinky bathroom was broken and it could not be closed. The last day we had to remain at the hotel due to bad weather and the smell from the bathroom got worse. It was almost impossible to bear it. And what made me even more uspet was that I filled a complaint with the management already during our stay. And guess what... the customer service apparently is good only to take the money from clients and they are not even so sensible to reply to the client (usually they reply in a few hours time, maybe they had some server issues that lasted for several days?!). They actually replied to me the next week. A 4 star hotel? No way, maybe a very low standard 3 star hotel... I have chosen it because it was rated as clean and renewed. I have not experienced a clean and renewed hotel. Apparently the have cleaning issues due to covid measures 🤔🤔 shouldn't they take actually extra care for cleaning? For Slovenian guests using vouchers - the starting price is much more expensive than Booking price. They offer you the additional dinner for 2€/person/day but actually the dinner is already included in the price. The booking price for a 5 day stay was 530€, we were offered a price of 670€ (breakfast only) +20€ surcharge for dinner. …
Our second time to the hotel. Hotel is right at the slopes and therefore very convenient. This is the reason we go there and pay a bit extra. Rooms are small but clean. As a hotel guest you have an entry to the pool. Breakfast is average and needs improvements eg proper coffees, regular check of buffets for missing items and tideness etc.
