The receptionist was friendly and helpful in organising parking, which is rather limited next to the hotel. In comparison, the restaurant waiter disappeared after serving the main course of my dinner and left me sitting there for 15 minutes with the leftovers and no offer of desert or coffee. The room was very small and really just OK for single occupancy for one night (officially it was a standard double). The best part of the hotel is its outside seating area on the pedestrianised square, where they serve coffee, cakes and drinks (but the waitress was unable to charge my bill to the room). Despite the attractive outside seating area breakfast was served in a dark and uninspiring room at the back of the hotel.
The bathroom is full of mold and stinks of urine. The room also smells pretty bad, and the windows can’t be opened properly. It was cold in the room because the radiators are very poorly heated and there is no remote from the air conditioning! Mostly too much money for this accommodation! Avoid! Also the receptionist did not want to help us when they had a party in the room above us and ran around the room in the middle of the night. He said let's take care of it ourselves! Shame on you!
Very good place to stay in the heart of the old Town. Delicious, varied fruit breakfast, nice price for daily parking. Very clean room, comfortably bad, elevator and very good restaurant. Very polite and friendly staff.
My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at 2PM and fortunate to find one of the hotel’s reserved spaces. The receptionist copied our passports/vaccinations, then pointed out the breakfast room and the elevator. Room #104 was well designed; wood floored, a firm double bed, desk with mini bar, small wall TV with guide(BBC/CNN/SKY and many more in English), a large opening window to an interior court and a fully outfitted bathroom with a small shower. The 7 AM breakfast buffet was serviced, extensive and complete with juices, fruits, cereals, meats/salmon/cheeses, 3 types of eggs, many breads, yogurts, coffees and a full array of accompaniments. This 150 year old hotel with a cafe is refurbished, located at the beginning of the pedestrian zone with a good restaurant and Mercator 1 block away. Our room was comfortable, warm and very quiet with good secure WIFI. The 61 room hotel made an excellent stay with free parking.…
Waited for half an hour in front of a dirty table. After the waiter finally arrived we were blamed for waiting because we sat behind this dirty table - WTF?! Maybe the table shouldn’t be dirty for half an hour and maybe we should go somewhere else to grab an afternoon coffee.
We were taken to a restaurant for lunch during our guided tour to three religion holy sites.Pre fixed menu was served. That did no have any dish of meat.Arrangement should be made with restaurant to provide choice of an other menu including world fame meat dishes like Kebobs and Gyro etc. That would be good opportunity for the visitors to try those famous dishes of the area. The restaurant, the food offered and the charges were absolutely fine.
We went to the pastry shop only and had a cake and drink, but they forgot the drink and we had ro wait to be served. Otherwise it looks so nice ans has a great location. Maybe needs only better staff to reach higher level.
Dropped in on my visit to Celje On a Sunday, this town was pretty much dead, not a lot of activity, one exception, the restaurant/café at this hotel. Delicious looking pastries, a lot of people enjoying coffee. Cozy feel.
We stayed at this hotel for our 8th consecutive year, whilst working in Celje. The hotel building is nice on the outside and in, located opposite Celje Dom. On arrival we We're greeted by Jernej, who although new to this hotel made us feel very welcomed and worked hard to ensure we had a nice room on the 4th floor. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. Just what we required. The hotel has a resturant on the ground floor and a seperate bar area, where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food has always been good, but this has been the best year ever. Dispite being busy, the staff remained calm and friendly at all times. Thanks to all the staff and we look forward to staying again next November.
We stayed 2 nights in this great hotel. At arrival there was no parking spot left, but the guy from the hotel said we could park in front of the hotel! Wow! What a great service. Checking in was fast, rooms are very clean, beds slept great, and the best toiletries ever! Breakfast was good. Wide selection of choices. Warm, cold, sweets. Only minuspoint was the coffee machine, the machine was very slow. Maybe someone can take a look at that. Coffee itself was good. Guys behind reception were very helpfull by calling a taxi for us. This is a hotel were they understand hospitality. Will come back again.
