Super friendly service and delicious simple good food. As appetizer we had a typical cheese dish and for main course a forel filet served with a garlic sauce bd potatoes. The fish was really well baked.
It was a real pleasure to stay in this hotel. The hotel is in the very center of the city, and is absolutely clean and tidy. I would especially like to commend the staff who are extremely kind! Also, the food was excellent ... All in all, I would recommend this hotel to everyone, and I will definitely be back when I am in Bovec next time!
I have been in this lovely hotel with my family and only what i can say all the staff are amazing, kind and helpful!!! Food was dilicious, waiters are fool of knowledge about their food, drinks and ofcourse about Slovenia and Bovec!!! All recommendations for this hotel!!!
We are family of 6, 3 adults, 1 almost adult kid and two kids. Stuff was kind, reservation was smoothly, no problems. Breakfast was served due to corona but without any problems. They have big tables also for family like us. Hotel is located in center and it is perfect. A bit bad thing- they do not a have a lot of parking spaces but about 300m away there is free parking space. Overall it was perfect!
Staying at the hotel Alp was overall cool and nice, and we understand that working in tourism in this turbolent coronatimes in hard, but it wouldn't hurt if they would have prepared for it a little bit better. Firstly, they should have let guests know about the parking situation. When we arrived, everything was full on the small parking (max 20 car, but it is true that hotel is located in a very centre of Bovec), so I called the hotel what is the deal. We parked on the other side of the town (huge parking near the church), which is no problem at all, but just please let people know in advance. The other thing that kind of bothered us was breakfast. Usually this hotel offers self-service breakfast, but due to corona, it was served. I think guests deserve to know that in advance - would it hurt so much to hang a notification on the doors? Instead of that we walked in the breakfast room and it looked just sad. People looking at each other, people freaked out, people walking up and down the hall and didn't know how to proceed. The bartender/the one who was serving food should just simply say "hi, this year we are doing this differently", instead of just standing there and saying nothing. When it was our turn, we didn't even see all the offers/all foods, because it was just too far away and just just had to guess what they had. I can understand the rules regarding social distancing must be respected, but I think food in cans such as yoghurts, mini packs of nutella, pates etc., can be placed closer than 2 metres. Not to mention that staff who was serving food were not wearing gloves nor disinfecting hands before serving another guest. I know this was done by mistake, but still - there is no daily cleaning service provided, due to corona, but the cleaning lady came to our room when we were half dress getting ready. Seriously? Also: I assume there is usually a sign in the room with all the info provided (wifi password etc). There was no paper, due to corona. I mean - really? Bartenders are not wearing gloves, but you remove a plastic-paper from the room (which can easily be disinfected after other guests arrive). I try to understand the hard time people working in tourism are going through tough times, but this was just too much (and overpriced). To conclude with a positive note: rooms are spacy, clean, renovated with a nice style and decor, so bravo for that! …
