We had the best time at Vila Park. The hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet spot on the lake with direct water access for a refreshing jump in the water after a long day of hiking. The room was very clean and spacious with a balcony looking over the green, it’s really like a paradise. The breakfast was lovely with refreshments all day included, and the host very helpful to recommend sights and hikes during our stay. We will definitely come back, and thank the host for this amazing holiday.
We spent a wonderful week here. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The hotel is situated in a peaceful spot at the far end of Lake Bohinj, surrounded by beautiful mountains and set in a gorgeous garden in which you could sit on chairs or loungers on the lawn or by the stream which was emerald green and crystal clear. The rooms were very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and there was free tea, coffee etc and cakes available all day. Jana, our host, was so kind. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She gave us very useful information to help us explore the area and even gave us supplies for our picnic lunches. We didn’t have a car but that wasn’t a problem for us. There was a very good pizzeria within a 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the buses were cheap and frequent if you wanted to go further afield (check the time of the last bus!) We felt we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and would love to return.…
An excellent location and hotel. Jana and her small team couldn’t do enough for us. A wonderful breakfast every morning and setting by the river was idyllic. Sheltered by the mountains and good restaurant 5 minutes walk away. Would very highly recommend this hotel.
After two years of trying to get there we received a warm and friendly welcome and had a lovely stay at Vila Park. Breakfast was wonderful and the ongoing availability of refreshments and snacks was a treat. The location was ideal for a quiet stay with a mix of walking, cycling, relaxing in the sun and enjoying the glorious lakes and mountains.
There are few locations around Lake Bohinj that are more beautiful than this. True there is no lake view but there is a lovely garden leading down to the river and a short walk to the lake itself. The location is one of the most peaceful around being away from roads and noisy tourist spots. The only slight disturbance is the view of distant hikers while you laze on one of the loungers, sipping your wine. The hotel is designated 'adults only' I imagine due to the rather deep, swift, unfenced river running at the end of the property. It also adds to the peace and quiet. The second exceptional thing about Vila Park is the owner. Jana immediately makes you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Bring your own drinks, take a glass from the dining room, help yourself to a doughnut, eat at one of the tables outside, feel like a chat (in several languages) - all these things and more make you feel at home. Now to specifics, our room was not large but it was very pleasant, well thought out and clean. Ditto the bathroom which has more shelves than those twice the size. There were plenty of towels, toiletries and a fridge as well as a decent sized balcony (which we didn't use as the garden is so lovely). Breakfasts were simple but very good. In conclusion I can say that I am looking forward to another visit. Highly recommended.…
Villa Park Bohinj is located in a beautiful location by Lake Bohinj. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the kind Mrs. Jana, who enriched our experience with interesting conversations and her advice on spending time in Bohinj and its surroundings. Comfortable and homely accommodation, clean rooms and an excellent breakfast. We would recommend it to everyone who wants to spend a holiday in Bohinj in excellent accommodation for a reasonable price.
Vila Park was my favorite accommodation in Slovenia! It is a cozy little B&B run buy an incredibly welcoming hostess named Jana. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and knew where to go exploring during the day. She made sure we had to-go breakfast when we had to leave early before breakfast was served (breakfast is AWESOME by the way). The shower was great, the rooms were cute, spacious and clean with bookshelves full of books to read from and my balcony was the perfect place to relax. This B&B is situated a bit far from the center of town but it is still a manageable walk and located at one of the most scenic spots on Lake Bohinj. I cannot recommend this B&B enough! You will feel right at home. If I ever go back I will make sure to stay here again.
I was a solo traveler who spent 5 nights at Vila Park B&B. My stay was quite lovely. The B&B is located on the quiet end of Lake Bohinj. A car is helpful for reaching hikes and restaurants. The B&B is quite attractive and spotlessly clean; the surrounding area is gorgeous. My room was great and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Snacks (fruit, nuts, croissants, sweets) were provided in the evening in a common room that also allowed guests to interact. The owner is a lovely lady who is committed to making sure that her guests enjoy their stay. She even did a load of laundry for me! Highly recommended.
This very Nice B&B is situated next to a small rivier that ends up in the lake. Well maintained, clean, comfortable and, most of all, hosted bij the friendliest lady-owner we ever met. She makes your stay as Nice as possible, very helpfull without being ‘pushy’, ask her anything! We loved her. This one is for you: ouhou! She knows what this means.
We stayed here for four nights during our trip to Slovenia. It is an Adults Only B&B, so no children allowed, and we mainly chose this to ensure peace and quiet during our stay. It is located in a small village called Ukanc. This is approx. a 10-15 minute drive from Ribcev Laz (or around a 1.5hr walk if you're feeling energetic!) and on the opposite side of Lake Bohinj. You can get a tourist boat from the campsite to Ribcev Laz and back. To get there, you turn right off the main road by a large campsite. You drive down the road and passed the Camp Zlatorog Bohinj. You follow the road passed a pizzeria and a small hut selling drinks and ice creams. You then drive over a wooden bridge and the B&B is on your left. We were greeted on arrival by the owner of the property who was a very pleasant and helpful woman. We checked in and she showed us around the property, and then to our room. The house is made up of 8 bedrooms. There is a main area for breakfast in the mornings. Next to the breakfast area is a kitchenette with tea & coffee making facilities, an ice machine, a fridge, and some snacks. There was a makeshift bar that you could help yourself to but that was not included in the price. There were mugs and glasses that you could use. There were armchairs, tables, a sofa and TV with some DVDs. It was a communal seating and relaxing area. Our room was on the top floor (2nd floor). It was a nice room. Light. Airy. Pastel colours. We had a double bed (two beds drawn together). The bathroom was a decent size with a decent shower. We had a balcony that overlooked the front of the B&B. It is surrounded by the mountains and trees and was very pretty. People were walking passed pretty much all day from around 07:00-21:00 but it wasn't particularly noisy. There were no tea & coffee making facilities in the room but you could make drinks in the kitchenette and bring them up. There was a fridge in the room and we used that for keeping drinks in. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and relax in the evenings. The only down side to the room was that there was no air conditioning and no fan available. It was around 28C most of the time we were there and the room was very warm, even with the window and balcony door open at night. In the end we bought an electric fan from a shop in Bohinjska Bistrica and that helped a lot. Because our room faced east as well, the sunrise woke us up at around 05:00 each day, and at times we struggled to get back to sleep. The curtains were pretty but didn't block very much sunlight out. Breakfast was decent with a good continental selection. The owner of the house made fresh scrambled eggs for us each morning too! The B&B is next to a river and has a lovely garden to sit in and admire the view. It was very picturesque and very relaxing to be there. There are some good walks from the B&B (including up to Slap Savica) and it is only a 5-10 minute walk to Lake Bohinj and a "beach" (made of pebbles/stones) where lots of people were swimming in the lake. A lovely B&B. Apart from being far too warm at night, we really enjoyed staying here. It was just what we needed. Recommended for those seeking peace & quiet.…
