Nice hotel in ideal location for visiting Lake Bohinj. Clean rooms with good services and also a nice breakfast with good selection. If you want a decent, standard place to stay then this place would be fine although it isn’t anything special.
I was a bit surprised: regarding the previous reviews, hotel should have been in much worse state with outdated furniture... On contrary, everything looked new and fresh, room furniture was recent, new TV set, everything very clean and well maintained. We had a room with the balcony and lake view, really great. Yes, it is lacking A/C... I had no use of it, but it could be a problem in summer. Location is superb, right by the lake. Private parking was available too, free of charge. All the staff was nice, specially both receptionists whom I got in touch with. Quick, answered all my questions and even had time for a little chat. The only thing I was not happy with was the dinner. It was really average, no taste and quite cold. Pity for an area which is, otherwise, famous for great food. My suggestion is to take a la carte dinner or go elsewhere. All in all, I can recommend it. Not the best, but far away from negative reviews I read on this site.…
Hotel right on Bohinj lake front with lovely views from one side. From the previous reviews I would assume that the hotel has been updated as the areas looked clean, fresh and recently renovated. Provides a good place to stay as can visit both Bohinj and Bled lakes, which are both in beautiful settings. My wife swam in both lakes but found Bled warmer and more comfortable, Bohinj was on the cold side for her. Bedroom was good size with twin beds with a veiw over the bottom of the lake. Good size bath room with step in shower and liquid soap supplied. One drawn back to the setting is that there is a church just over the brige and they ring the bell for the "rightous to pray" at 07.00 so no sleeping in here if you want one but it gets you ready for breakfast which starts at 07.00!! Buffer type with a good slection of hot and cold choices, fresh fruits, yougurts, breads etc, fruit and vegetable juices and coffee or tea. Staff were very freindly and helpful. The hotel has a resturant with two options either an al la carte or buffer type. The former is served when you like, the latter from 19.00. We ate there one night and the food was OK, but not as interesting as many other palces we tried in our short trip around Slovenia, nothing wrong with it just not as spectacular as we found in other places. Offers free wifi, which worked OK for us. Free parking at the back of the hotel Nice clean and modern looking hotel right on the lake front and ideal to see the area with friendly & helpful staff.…
Based on all previously read reviews I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was upgraded to a larger one with a beautiful lake view. The room was spacious and clean with a big balcony. The furniture was a little outdated, it could use some upgrades. I didn't like the breakfast, I missed more fresh and healthy options. The location was perfect, next to the lake and restaurants, but still peacefull at nights. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The only good thing is that the hotel is near the lake, everything else is terrible. I would give this hotel 3 stars for the location, 2 stars for rooms and food. Rooms are not clean, awfull old bathroom, no A/C - not even a fan, very uncomfortable beds, ancient furniture and poor isolation of the rooms (you could even hear the water running in the next and above rooms). The food at the hotel was also terrible and cold. Don't stay here, it will ruin your vacation.
Be forewarned. This hotel is dated, actually shabby in places, terrible WIFI, nickel and dimes you in everything, the road is loud, no AC or fans, and more. Really overpriced and falsely advertised. We are really bummed.
Location is great - right at the lake, tourist center and super market round the corner, free parking place. I’d consider the hotel rather a little pricy, outdated 3*. Fitness center has one (1) machine, bike storage is a small ski room with a single key for the whole hotel. Breakfasts are poor (there’s a better place for breakfast across the road). Staff was very nice (with 1 single exception at the reception). Clean rooms. Got a room with a lake view as requested - appreciated.
We were advised to stay next to Lake Bohinj rather than Lake Bled and this was an excellent decision. We stayed in the Jezero Hotel.as it is next to the lake and a short walk from several bars, cafes and restaurants. Also a supermarket 5 mini walk away. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was spacious and clean, with a balcony. Only negative point was in our room #26, the WiFi signal was very weak and unusable. Breakfast was OK, but limited by the CV-19 restrictions. A great choice of hotel on during a visit to the amazing Lake Bohinj. Recommended!
The only good thing is that the hotel is near the lake. Heating did not work, uncomfortable beds, ancient furniture and very poor isolation so you can hear everything from the room next to yours, waiter in pool was cold. The food at the hotel was also poor. This hotel should have 2 stars.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room on the second floor had a balcony that looked onto a wooded area. Very nice. There is no air conditioning at this hotel, but we didn't need it. The temperatures were quite comfortable when we were there. Our room had a double bed and a twin bed. There was only one outlet available for charging devices. We thought the shower arrangement was ridiculous. The tub/shower has the shower spray on the wall at the midpoint of the tub. Only half of the tub has a partition so, as far as we can tell, it's impossible to take a shower without getting the floor really wet. There is also no shelf in the shower for soap or shampoo. Taking a shower was a challenge! We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, and both were quite good. They charge for butter, which I thought was strange, but we greatly enjoyed each meal here.…
