While staying in Bled, we were most happy to be entertained with class in traditional archery. by Tomaz Kosir, concierge from hotel Lovec, who proved to be man of many talents, skills and knowledge. He was fun, patient and entertaining teacher who went off his way to make our stay most enjoyable and memorable. He also took us on personalized walking tour around Lake Bled with a special extension to the castle where he tought us about medieval history and architecture, myths and legends. His knowledge and passion is the real treat, being true ambassador of Bled. Many thanks!
Very good breakfast, you will find everything to eat, Even if you want something else they will prepare for you, the staff is very helpfull and nice. Cozy atmosphere. Even us, local people go there for breakfast 😊
The rooms smell of smoke! Location is fantastic: two minute walk to Lake Bled; 10 second walk to the supermarket; and not far away from local shops etc. Apart from the stale smell of smoke, the rooms are standard. Bed is really comfy! Parking is a bit of nightmare by the hotel - around 8 spaces. However, you are allowed to park in their partner hotel next door - just ask for the key fob to open their barrier. Breakfast is great - range of hot and cold options. Could be a gem of a hotel. We think the smell was coming from the AC so we did turn that off and it made it a little better!
Thanks to Tomaz for a nice complimentary tour around Bled! I enjoyed listening to the history and legends of the place and getting a better insight about Bled during my stay! Room was clean and well sized, comfortable bed and Thai massage also good. Breakfast and spa facilities not that exceptional. Great location and customer service though.
Hotel Lovec is located conveniently in the heart of Lovec. It has some own parking space and close to the hotel more space. The building and hotel are from the past Yugoslavic era. However, the rooms are clean and maintained. The reception is friendly. The breakfast was exceptionally good and extensive and the service was also superb. Strong recommendation.
We were there last week and here are the pro and cons : Located central but not on the lakeside. Parking was crowded. And asístase was so so.. Nice view. The rooms are clean but old somehow. The plumbing in the shower was blocked.and the shower device was not stable. With a better maintenance could be much nicer.
We found the hotel very comfortable, rooms very clean and well appointed, wooden floors and large balcony overlooking town and lake. The staff very friendly and helpful, all spoke English and special mention to Tomaz who took us on an excellently infomtive tour along lake bled. The hotel is well situated in the small town to access all areas.
Leger holiday which has been a big disappointment. Hotel Lovec being our main hotel, stayed in room 113 avoid this room. The first thing that hits you is the strong stale smell of cigarettes. Hotel informed offered room 107 which also smelt. A couple in our group had a room a few doors done and this also stunk of stale tobacco. Reception informed us that the cause was from their bar below! No other room availabe reception staff not interested. Room on 1st floor above entrance, view of a car park. Every coach, truck, car etc stopped under our balcony so very noisy from about 5sm and exhausted fumes from labouring vehicles. Balcony filthy, ledges covered in green moss and black mould. Dirt in corners of balcony, grid full of dirt and hair even had green plants growing in the grid. Sheet on bed threadbare, hand towel had holes in it. Shower base had black mould along base . Dirt between shower and wall, never cleaned. Plug in sink broken so had to pull it out with your nails. Strange room with TV behind the door with suit case shelf under tv so couldn't open suitcase. Bed had seen better days, sunken in the middle. Overall hotel second rate, small smelly room, filthy balcony, tiny bathroom. Food on two evenings was not edible. Not a three star hotel by any means…
Good location, just a 4 minutes walk to the lake. The rooms were spacious and clen and the bed comfy. The bathroom was a little weird, no lights where the toilet was placed so you have to sit there in the dark... To shower you have to climb up into a very small bathtub, and hold the shower head yourself because if you attach it to the wall the water will just spray anywhere except from on the person who is taking the shower. One of the worst showers I have ever experienced. Breakfast is very good and there was a lot to choose from. Checkout is at 11.00 and from 9.00 the housekeepers wouldn't stop knocking on the door over and over again to ask if they could come in and clean which made us feel stressed and felt that we had to checkout earlier.
My stay at Hotel Lovec was outstanding. The rooms are bright, spacious and updated. The buffet meals were delicious and the dining staff went out of their way to be sure that my special dietary needs were looked after. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It is in a perfect location, close to everything with a lovely view of Lake Bled in the distance.
