The breakfast was a dream! :-) Quality-wise its one of the best breakfasts we have ever had in a guesthouse and the girl serving it has done a really good job too. Also the owner of the guesthouse was very friendly and had lots of helpful tips for the area. The free rental bikes (very well maintained) were a real bonus for us, perfect for the ride to Vintgar gorge and back and around the lake. The room was clean and the bed comfy.

A truly wonderful place to stay. Beautiful on the outside and beautiful and immaculately clean on the inside. Rooms are lovely, and I think they all have a balcony. The owners are very helpful and friendly, and serve an excellent breakfast which you can eat outside in the lovely and large garden. Has good parking and WiFi in rooms, and only 5 mins from the lake and bathing area. Highly recommended.

As a family of four we stayed for four nights in the apartment. It was stunning. The ground floor has a very well stocked kitchen (of utilises and crockery). If you desired you could easily cook a meal there, we didn't. The main bedroom was really spacious and had a balcony, the twin room was smaller. Both were extremely clean and had comfortable beds. For me the highlight of this stay was the homemade breakfast items, from smoothies to overnight oats, to granola and eggs cooked to order. The gardens are beautiful and had ample space to hang out. Loads of parking and it didn't take long to walk to the lake shore. We also enjoyed using the bikes, the lake has some free swimming spots which are a bit of a trek (about 3k) so cycling to it was great. Friendly staff and a stunning location. I would happily recommend this b&b to anyone and if I am ever in Bled again would stay here. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The hotel has a pretty garden, which is shaded in the afternoon, nice place to sit if you want shade and super parking. Easy location to leave car and 10/15 minute walk to lake Bled, depending on your pace, although it is uphill getting back. It is an ideal location as a base with parking provided. However, the staff and welcome are quite possibly the worse I have ever experienced anywhere ever, in any stay I’ve ever been. In fact bordering on rude, very unfriendly and no matter location I’d never stay here again on that matter alone. The room is clean and we did have a small balcony overlooking the pretty garden. The rooms are excruciatingly boiling hot, with only a ceiling fan that does nothing to cool the room. It states that tea and coffee is provided, they did indeed have a kettle but no milk and the fridge in the room doesn’t keep anything cold, Luke warm at best. The fridge is an empty mini bar, which is not stocked with anything. I did ask if we could have a working fridge but was told rather short and sharp that’s not part of what’s provided. I would say that if you stay here it’s pretty much a necessity as the rooms are so hot and after a 10 minute walk up hill in searing heat a cold drink or a good cup of tea is well needed but you can have neither as the hotel does not have an option to purchase either, or means to keep anything cool. Rooms are pretty basic. However, a positive they do provide a lovely breakfast eggs cooked fresh any way you like, cheeses, meat, fruit, bread and mini pastries very fresh and sitting outside in the pretty garden is nice as long as you don’t mind a dozen wasps dive bombing, luckily the inside seating area is just as pretty. As delightful as the breakfast choice is, parking and ease of walking to the lake, you are made yo feel most unwelcome and an inconvenience just by your presence and that was without us making a single complaint or moan, we simply asked once if the fridge could be turned on in our room. No one smiles, checking in and out is unpleasant and the owner lives on sight but is very abrasive with everyone. I know we weren’t the only ones feeling unwanted.

I have nothing negative to say about Mayer. The owner was pleasant, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was delightful. Good location. Ample parking. The price was very reasonable. They have a covered area for bicycle storage but an enclosed room would be preferable for a higher priced bike. I would return

We stayed at Pension Mayer for two nights while we visited Lake Bled. It was a lovely B&B, had a very nice breakfast (we ate out in the very pretty courtyard), and the room was a nice size and a good value. The B&B was a very short walk from the town center and the lake, and so we really never had to drive anywhere while in Bled. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in Bled.

We stayed at Penzion Mayer for 3 nights as part of a 9 day trip to Slovenia & really enjoyed our visit. We had the Apartment which is in fact a chalet in the garden of the hotel. It was lovely having a lounge with a dining area with a kitchenette. The bathroom was on the ground floor and a comfortable bedroom upstairs with a balcony. All of which was spotless and comfortable and gave us room to spread out & relax. The family who run the hotel are friendly, helpful and made us very welcome. The breakfast is ample with a wide choice of fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries & more along with eggs cooked to order. We did not need lunch during our stay! We also enjoyed having our own table outside our chalet to sit at and enjoy the garden & brekfast in the mornings. We borrowed bikes and cycled around Lake Bled which is just down the hill and the owners were good at giving recommendations for restaurants & site seeing. While there are a lot of hotels and guest houses close by, it was never noisy and the pretty little garden makes it feel secluded.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend this small hotel over it's big neighbours.

Room is big,has a kettle n fridge n bed is so comfortable. Tv has cnn news. Owner and all staff are so friendly. Her daughter gave me a lift to train station. I dont ve a car she spend time telling me where to go n how to use public transport. Breakfast is very good. You get free use of bicycles and walking poles. Beautiful area and short walk to lake bled. Has a elevator which is truly handy. Highly recommended. I stayed 3 nights. Thank you so much i had a fabulous Stay. Hope to be back again.

Beautifully kept property in Bled, in a great location close to the lake. Wonderful breakfast. The free use of bicycles was a great bonus. Big bedroom with a lovely balcony and a huge bathroom. We’d stay there again if back in Bled. Lack of aircon in the bedroom was the only negative.
