Loved this small and traditional hotel. The location is high up above the lake and a little outside the central town. Stunning views of the lake (from most bedrooms and the dining room), large indoor pool and very comfortably furnished throughout. Staff are friendly and helpful, all speak impeccable English. Breakfast is enormous with a wide choice. Dinner was perhaps over-elaborate for our taste - some dishes worked very well, others didn’t, but this was personal preference. All were very interesting in terms of ingredients and beautifully presented. Highly recommended, would love to return one day.

The staff of this hotel is extraordinarily helpful and acommodating from first inquiry through departure. They assisted in arranging transfers, personal tours, and gave very helpful advice. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. The traditional atmosphere of the restaurant is preserved along with modern amenities. The rooms with balcony facing the lake are a great value with phenomenal tranquil views.

Let me talk about good, then bad. The hotel is on the opposite side of the lake from the town and sits above the lake. Very peaceful. You have access to the lake trail by a path just a few hundred meters from the hotel. Every room faces the lake so everyone has gorgeous views. I found the bed very comfortable and each room has a small patio with a table and 2 chairs where you can relax and enjoy the views. They have an elevator to each floor. They have a swimming pool and spa which I did not use or look at. The breakfast was adequate but I’m not a breakfast person. Now the bad. The rooms are quite small (but ok if you travel alone) and the furniture throughout the hotel is dated. In most cases the items are shabby and worn vs antique and the overall feeling is an overstocked used furniture store. It truly needs an upgrade. The bathroom I had was tiny, as was the shower. In fact, while showering, if you moved you would hit the lever either turning the water off or changing the temperature. Quite annoying and sometimes nearly burning myself. In general the staff was accommodating but in some cases we received rather curt responses - I would not say they were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a pleasant stay but would find a different hotel the next time.

We were delighted with our decision to stay at Hotel Triglav. We treated ourselves to a junior suite with balcony and very much enjoyed the views and the space. We stayed 4 nights and walked and walked and walked! We did have a car which allowed us to visit nearby locations.

We enjoyed the restaurant very much with is flexible degustation approach. As some previous reviews have commented - the menu doesn't change a lot and when we ate for the third time the staff adjusted the offering for us to create something special and different.

There are some cheaper places about 20 minutes walk away and even more in town which requires a taxi or a car.

The wellness facilities were lovely and we also enjoyed a fabulous wine tasting in the cellar. Parking is limited if you have a car but staff help make the most of a very limited space. We had some laundry done it was very timely which was helpful. Housekeeping was always fabulous.

We absolutely recommend this place if it is in your price bracket.

We stayed three nights at the Hotel Triglav Bled. The hotel is in a quiet spot about a 25 minute walk away from the town of Bled. This means yay,it's nice and peaceful, but you need to trek to get the restaurants and stores. It is a BEAUTIFUL walk though, but be aware that the hotel is on higher ground than the walk around the lake, so you do have a relatively steep incline coming back. The hotel has bikes that you can rent to make your life easier though! My husband and I don't really bike, plus it was raining while we were there, so we just walked. We had the smallest size room, but it was still a good size - bed to fit both of us, good bathroom size - we were happy. Not noisy at all and room to unpack and get around. The pool had a jacuzzi built in, and there were two saunas. We took advantage of all of that. And after you relax in pool/sauna, you can pull up a chair and read a book while gazing at the lake. We also took advantage of the wine tasting they provide on site (for 25 euros each). Fun to taste some of the different Slovenian wines and learn about the wine growing regions in the country (and see their old cellar). We drove and had no issues parking. Reception was very kind and helpful with recommendations.

I was here with my daughter who's competing in the Winter world swimming Championships last week. We were able to relax after each day in the sauna and start the day with a delicious breakfast overlooking Bled lake. Position wise this hotel ticks every box.

Fantastic views from the restaurant, terrace and lakeside bedrooms.

Only criticism would be that dinner menu is quite limited and this is not the place for a quick, cheap snack. Service was generally very good albeit a little over elaborate in the restaurant

There is no bar as such although rooms have mini bars - the lake is close but the walk back quite strenuous

Located on the ring road above Lake Bled, Hotel Triglav is a gem of a hotel with a timeless Victorian feel. The small staff is friendly and helpful (and fluent in English.) The rooms are on the small side, but comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast room overlooks the lake and offers a great view. The included breakfast was good, but not great.

The hotel also includes a fine dining restaurant which is convenient as there are few dining options within a 30 minute walk of the hotel.

Three of us spent the night in two rooms and left thinking: I'd come back to Lake Bled, just to stay here.

Its one of the rare hotels that have single rooms with beautiful view. The view over Lake Bled was something I truly loved. The Hotel has an antique feel with its furniture and this adds to the experience. It was low season when I stayed and had a very peaceful vibe around the location. The breakfast at the Restaurant 1906 was an experience - and gave a taste of the fine dining they offer here. There was a menu to order from and tasted very fresh and delicious. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway. The highlight were the friendly staff of the Hotel. They were super helpful and nice especially the two I had the most contact with at the reception, Jurij and Manca.

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of a cycling holiday. The hotel was lovely, good sized room with a balcony overlooking the lake, the view was beautiful. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and service good. Dinner was imaginative, concentrated on local cuisine and there is a very comprehensive wine list. There is an outside terrace for dinner and breakfast if the weather is good. Service at dinner was good and we were very grateful to the waiter who sorted us out a table outside on the terrace after we had been told none were available. Breakfast is a la carte and you can have as much or as little as you want from the menu. The only downside is there is no bar, and it would be nice to have a outside area with comfortable seating to relax in as well as the balcony of your room.

We visited the spa a few times and it was mainly empty when we went but no it isn't nudist. People wear swimming costumes or towels and the hotel provides robes etc.

My advice would be to have reservations at a hotel in the "Old Town" of Ljubljana for a couple of days. Just a wonderful old town with so many outdoor dining options. There are bus connections to Lake Bled, but you will probably want to take a taxi to Hotel Triglav if you have luggage. Otherwise it is a beautiful 2 mile walk along the lake to hotel from the town.
