Booked one night here based on good reviews. It didn’t disappoint! Honestly one of my favorite places. The hotel is in an old building but very nicely updated with lots of lovely barn wood and stone. The room was beautiful. Bed was nice. Sheets were crisp and pillows good. It was a short 5 minute walk to the lake and parking was easy. Stayed for dinner at the cute restaurant and absolutely loved the food. Bread was amazing. Soup also. Food just outstanding. Breakfast also really good. Honestly I can only find one very small negative. A small mosquito found its way in my room and kept me awake until I hunted him down. Thanks for a great stay
Very friendly staff and lovely, clean room! Great breakfast! Walking distance to lake Bled. We would warmly recommend this place. All staff members were very friendly and welcoming. Our room had a very big terrace too.
We booked the executive room (thinking that it is better then the other rooms) however the executive is on the 3rd floor in the attic, so in warm days it can be really warm. The hotel has no elevators so consider that. The room AC was not working at first so we asked for it to be fixed as the days were warm especially an attic room. The TV had no English channels as promised and they knew about the problem but could not be fixed. WIFI connection was very poor in the attic so it is better not to have an executive room in this case. We asked for extra pillows cause they were literally flat, sort of non existent to our necks, they were able to provide 2 more cause the hotel was not fully occupied. The staff are very friendly and helpful but some issues that they knew about could have been solved before our arrival. Our room had no phone to the reception so every time we needed to ask for something we had to go 3 level of stairs down. We also made a reservation weeks if not months before our arrival for our first night and we got a table next to the kitchen, we were very disappointed, as it was very noisy and they was a bell in the kitchen that made us feel as if we are at a fast food restaurant. Since the food was really good we booked again for the second night but we asked for a table in the cellar and luckily the request was respected. The guy serving us asked us to walk with our mask on if we are not seated at the table but in the meantime he was wearing his wrong under his nose the whole time, we found that really ....…
We stayed at Old Bled House for four nights with our two children and we wish we could have stayed for another week! The room was beautiful and the patio just added that something extra to the room. The staff were incredibly helpful and the location in town was super convenient.
Wonderful, boutique, old (380 years) guest house. We visited as two couples in two rooms, with my wife and I staying in a junior suite. The room (and the house) has lots of character, space and just a lovely cosy feel to it. Everybody we dealt with there couldn't do enough for us and were all very pleasant and upbeat. Breakfast was really good with plenty of fresh meats and fruit, plenty of choices and all unrushed. Great wi-fi signal in the rooms too if required. There is the Old Celler restaurant on-site (but ran separately from the guest house and is where breakfast is held); book a table here for a lovely meal - try their 28-day old steak, fantastic!
