Just as Rick Steves said, family-run, friendly, comfortable, chef was so good I saw no reason to eat anywhere else. Close to everything. Jarek still adorable after all these years wielding his broom. I enjoyed a glass of wine with him. He and his operation are supporting a group of young Ukrainian musicians. Don’t miss the nightly Chopin concert.
Basic services, tiny underground restaurant, very little choice for breakfast (children not welcomed) Room is fine sizewise, furniture is basic, bathroom very basic and old Used to be a nice hotel but more like a youth hostel now with dozens of rooms and outdated in terms of service, management and equipments. I thoroughly enjoyed my week stay at the hotel. The room was cosy with all amenities necessary for a comfortable nights rest. The breakfasts and meals are worth a special mention - the food is great quality and the coffee is fresh roasted! All personnel were very helpful and responsive.
We stayed for only one night, for a conference in the city. What a shame we couldn't stay for longer! The room was unbelievable; large, spacious, pristine; furniture one doesn't think you can still even aquire... As a music lover, I was thrilled that our room had a piano in it, which was even well-tuned! The restaurant was lovely, and we met with the owner, Jarosław, who kept us company and showed us the salon with the large piano, and we took a trip to the roof with a view of the whole city. We look forward to coming back next time we're in the city! - William and Justyna, Krakow.
It is a wonderful hotel, very central in Warzaw, We lived in the 2 of the biggest suites. I am not sure which of them, that we liked the most, as one was both elegant, pleasant and luxurious and the other one was cozy, elegant and comfortable. The people employed in the hotel are all genuine and very kind. It is a rare experience these days, to find such a warm and wellcoming atmosphere in a hotel.
Make this beautifully warm and simple venue a must when visiting Warsaw, Poland. Delicious cultural foods complemented with a warm and friendly staff. Drinks with the owner on the rooftop overlooking a city cast in the night lights was an unexpected pleasure. History abounds here with authentic portraits, books, Chopin concerts, memorabilia, and the bullet holes resting still on the outer wall honoring those lost in what was once a war-ravaged city. The history of Warsaw and Poland are tastefully represented as each suite bears the name of one of Poland’s remembered. This is a proud but humble representation of Poland. The old-world flavor, interesting conversation, pleasant aromas of fresh-baked breads, romantic evenings, and the sincerity of those here to serve the guests will not be matched. This experience was a memory that can not be bought. Thank you, Jarek.…
What a find! From the initial friendly correspondence with the hotel during the booking process, to our arrival at the hotel and all during our stay, we were met with professionalism and warmth. Their website is very good and if sustainability is important to you, I would urge you to read all the initiatives that they have embraced - quite amazing for such a small hotel and one that the larger chain hotels should take note and learn from! We booked for the evening Chopin recital and it was perfect. A glass of wine, along with a good slice of excellent cake was given to us to enjoy, whilst we listened to a graduate of the Chopin University of Music and she is now a classical pianist who plays to audiences worldwide. Thinking we would walk somewhere afterwards for dinner, we did note that their cafe Philoxenia was still open and decided to eat 'in-house'. Well, I am so glad we did. It was one of the best meals in our entire trip to Poland! We both had the salmon, followed by apple cake. This was real food with real taste and not just all about the presentation - which was still very nice. Continental breakfast in the morning was very enjoyable with the offer to cook us eggs how we wanted. I particularly enjoyed the honey that comes from their very own apiary on the roof of the house and choosing which of the multiple breads on offer, to accompany it. My husband though was just glad to get an excellent cup of coffee and was extremely impressed by their house roaster which is featured in the dining room. It was with genuine sadness that we left the hotel and the staff made us feel that we had been valued and were sorry to see us go too (how different is that than the repeated same check out words to every customer from a chain hotel). We really enjoyed our time in Warsaw though and decided 1.5 days was definitely not enough to do it justice, so will be back - and we won't think twice about where we will stay and where we will eat! The only thing we will be asking is please can we have 'our room' again with it's very special wardrobe!…
We absolutely loved our time at the Chopin Boutique. We werent just met with absolute class, culture and a kind staff, but also were able to stay in super stylish rooms and eat local home-cooked style food. We are so grateful that we got to stay in this unique hotel!
Was here for two nights. Rooms are big, with high ceiling, parquet floors and big bed. Hotel placed in near center quite place, just couple minutes to go to most popular places in Warsaw. Many thanks, will be back.
