Awful place. I think some residents are local people staying long-term with nowhere else to go. Nobody is smiling. Signs up saying no alcohol allowed. I hardly drink but not good for a jolly atmosphere. Kitchen filthy. Electrics inadequate and probably dangerous. Not sure how old those photos are but the place does not look like that now.

If you are just wanting a place for the night, then this is okay and priced right for one night. There are a few locals who call this hostel 'home.' You are given clean linens & make your own bed. Location is central to buses & McDonalds. WiFi is good. It is nice to have a staff member 24/7. The kitchen & dining area are big & serviceable. It seems the tenants pick up after themselves; however, no deep cleaning in the hostel. The price per night is comparable to other hostels in Warsaw where I have stayed. The difference at this hostel is they charge for everything that other hostels do NOT charge for. Lockers 20pln deposit (returned) & 5pln charged, towel-3pln, soap 1pln, coffee 2pln (tea is free). Other hostels for the same rate/night did NOT charge for these items. It was a bit of disappointment. The showers were too disgusting & I decided to not use them. The room was carpet 'stinky'. There is a 11pm "quiet time" although the party went on much longer with the guests. Hard to get sleep.

Like other reviewers, it took me about 20 minutes to actually find the entrance! So I’ve added a picture which will hopefully help others. I absolutely loved my stay here. I booked two nights in a private twin room for just me, it was cheap and I had my own bathroom. The shower was fantastic, the temperature didn’t fluctuate and it had good power. The only issue was that the shower head fell down a few times. The room was basic but clean, warm and comfortable. The bed was cosy and I didn’t wake up once! A brilliant sleep. There is also a socket right beside the bed - bonus point! I stayed in room 4 which is about 15 metres from reception. I could hear people talking but it didn’t annoy me or wake me up. Very pleasantly surprised. Also after check out I was able to leave my bag at reception until I was leaving the city in the evening. The hostel is in a brilliant location, about 15 mins from Sigismund’s Column and 15-20 mins from the Palace of Culture and Science. I had no need to use public transport during my 3 days in Warsaw. I’d definitely recommend The Warsaw Hostel and if I’m ever in the city again then I’ll stay here.

Good location – 10-15 min walk to railway station and near to underground stop and old town too. Room was clean and not hot. Bed and pillow was okay for me. There is free tea and coffee in the kitchen.

The hostel has an optimal location, however it is inside a conference building so you may face some difficulty finding it. My friend and I were staying there and at one point, without prior notice, they closed the room for cleaning, which was a major inconvenience.

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The hostel is placed in the back of the first floor of an office building, which is a bit odd, but not a big deal. If you need a bed to sleep in for your city trip, it is enough. Location in the city is pretty great!

I do not recommend this hostel to anyone. For the first time in many years that I travel alone, I was robbed. I was taking a shower and someone took my magnifying glasses. I asked everyone if they had seen them, but no. The reception guy did nothing to help me, just said: it's a shame, you should be careful with your things, and that was it. I would never return to the same hostel again. I was very affected because I need glasses to walk on the streets, and I still had many days of travel ahead. It was a very bad experience.

It’s pretty conveniently located near a couple of major streets and only a ten minute walk from Old Town. It’s relatively clean and comfortable and has a decent price. It’s perfectly fine for a hostel. The one complaint I have is the locks on the doors; I appreciate their commitment to security but it goes off every single time the door opens and closes, very annoying at 3:00am.

I was travelling with my mum, who's only condition was that she wanted the bathroom coming with the room. We booked it through the internet, paid the deposit and arrived before 11 pm. So they gave us a 6 bed dorm with no bathroom and they said that we have to pay 96 zl for that. When I asked how much is the bed in a dorm normally, the manager said '45'. So 1 thing: we get the worse room, 2!thing -more expensive. I said that we should have a discount for the inconvenience instead for paying more than anyone for the dorm bed, and I've heard 'that's a big discount already because we saved the whole room for you so we lost on the other beds'. For my question 'ok so you knew that the has been overbooking, you should've let us know?' I heard no answer. So he was sitting with his calculator making more and more decisions about the prices and told me some ridiculous ones. I said that the discount is when the price is dropped from the original one and instead of 48 (!) we should pay at least 40. And then finally he so thoughtfully said that 'fine! Can be'. Damn. When you make a mistake in bookings, you do everything to make the guests happy and it's not the time for bargain! Apart from that - quite nice. I like the painted walls (although ours was still smelling like paint) and it was relatively clean (luckily I didn't have to go to the smoking room cuz I heard that it was full of vomit and no one wanted to clean that up though). Mixed feeling. Very mixed.
