#16 of 162 in Warsaw
The five-star InterContinental Warsaw is an impressive addition to the ever-expanding skyline. Located in the financial district opposite the Palace of Culture and Science, the hotel is a short distance from the main railway station, charming Old Town and the Warsaw Philharmonic. Well worth a visit are the Frederic Chopin Museum and Lazienki Park.

I stayed here earlier during the 2021 pandemic, and was baffled by the absence of health and safety regulations, but impressed by the rooms, the views, the pool and the house keeping attention. The venue is huge, which in turn makes their staff attention hard to get, the reception is understaffed at peak hours, being an ambassador member, I m surprised that the dedicated desk was again not given priority attention, like last year. I was set in # 2708, upgraded to a large room facing the Palace of culture. With about 30sqm it was far enough for 1 night, but beside its size and view it did not offer the same quality and service expected of a 5* and definitely a let down for an InterContinental. It had a nespresso machine, but no milk capsules, the bathroom amenities are gone, soap is now liquid, and with shampoo both are in large dispensers on the wall like in an ibis hotel, gone the Agraria branded amenities that are this chain signature toiletries, not even 4* Crowne Plazza does that, no tooth brush or shaving kits any longer, just q-tips like in a 3*. The bathroom had both a tub and a shower, but the shower had its main silicon joints covered with black mould :((( very very disappointing again. The room is facing full east sunrise, but the curtain would not close fully but leave a 50 cms open gap, I pulled a bit to hard that night and it simply detached itself from the rail to the floor! At midnight I had to escalade on a chair and window frame to try to set it back so I would avoid a 5am wake up because of the full sun in front of the room, it partly worked only. Very unpleasant situation, never happened before. The check out was professional despite little attention to Ambassador guests, makes you wonder why you pay the program. The bar on 1st floor has a good mixologist team and service is prompt even at rush hour. The pool on top floor is a real perk but often used as an Instagram playground rather than a swimming pool, so you can't really swim among the wannabe insta' stars pausing in the water for the view. Maybe this hotel is after all not a real 5* But centrally located, it is a good business venue, and if it is cheap, a good holiday venue too. Just don't expect luxury nor an high attention to service, maintenance seems to be weak, but hotel is still nice, just not really an IC 5*

This was a birthday treat for a little girl who wanted to stay in a posh hotel with a swimming pool and to look for mermaids. I found an excellent rate directly with IHG for a club lounge room for the Mayday weekend, and the idea of the highest indoor pool in Europe certainly appealed. We were upgraded to a "Palace of Culture View" room prior to our arrival, and once we got into the room we were blown away. This hotel has, possibly, the best view in the whole of Warsaw, higher than the viewing terrace at the Palace, but with the Palace, old town and the river in full view. It really was beautiful, and the room was really nicely appointed with some lovely touches. The lounge was OK, very quiet during the day, the cocktails and canapes at 6pm were nice, although I found it odd to basically be sitting down for a tasting platter, it wasn't what I was expecting and there was nothing for my daughter there so we only stayed briefly. The view was similar to the view in the room, but we could have Nickelodeon on the TV in our room, so she preferred it there! The pool was lovely, as well, and the view was amazing. The pool water is 1.3m deep at the shallowest point, though, so I was glad that my daughter is a decent swimmer as her feet didn't touch the floor. You need to book into the swimming pool at weekends. Breakfast was beautiful, with an excellent choice of food, and the bar looked nice. We didn't eat anything else at the hotel, as there was just so much available nearby, and the hotel is very convenient for public transport to the Old Town or the zoo, where we went on our first day. We absolutely loved this hotel and I'd love to return if the budget allows. I'm not all that bothered about lounge access in the future, and we can get the view from the swimming pool if we go up there, but I'd return just for the rooms and the welcome. It was absolutely top-notch. Thanks to everyone there.

I spent a few nights in this centrally located hotel and enjoyed it: on top of everything else, the pillows were extremely comfortable, I wish I could take one home.. the room was big and very modern. Delicious breakfast, ample portions and a huge variety. One of Warsaw’s biggest malls is less than 5 minutes walk of the hotel’s front door.

I am a Diamond Elite member of IHG and I have to admit Intercontinental Hotels have never been my first choice for staying in IHG , I used to stay average of 100 nights a year with IHG each year (Pre Covid), and Intercontinental was maybe less then 10% of it, It’s been a hit and a miss the IC hotel stays some exceptionally great some average. However this stay was magnificent thanks to Ms. Anna from club lounge, she very well understood exactly what I need and made sure my stay was comfortable, I have already booked my next stay with them , If only there were more staff like her my stays with IC hotels would get more frequent. The hotel is in a excellent location, close the the cultural palace and Zlote mall both 3 minutes walk away. The rooms are nice and large with nice views, good breakfast and a nice bar in the hotel. IC Warsaw got me back with this stay I would definitely be staying more with them for my future stays. See you guys soon.

The hospitality ended at the reception. The room is not cleaned well, you always need to ask for a towels and soap. The bed is not changed for 3 days and even after the request housekeeping say "it was clean". Are you seriously, Intercontinental?

Hi OlgaK448, I am glad you left feedback. Thank you for choosing to stay at our InterContinental Warszawa! We strive hard to maintain the glamour of InterContinental Life, but I'm concerned what you had was the opposite. I am sorry to learn about the issues encountered during your recent stay with us, particularly with the cleanliness misses, our lapses in housekeeping, and the level of service received. IHG Hotels & Resorts sincerely cares about your experience, and I appreciate your taking the time to let us know. I have shared your comments with hotel management, who responded with genuine concern for the impact this had on your stay. I know they appreciate you sharing your experience and am confident they will take steps so this doesn’t happen again. We got 3 rooms at Intercontinental Warsaw to celebrate my birthday. A big thank you to the Reservation Team at International Warsaw for putting us all on the 28 floor with all 3 rooms next to each other. The rooms were specious with spectacular view of the city and Palace of Culture and Science. A bottle of wine with fruit and sweets from the hotel was waiting in our room upon arrival. It was a really nice touch. Staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Great location, only 6 min walk from Warszawa Centralna and Złote Tarasy, 30 min walk from Old Town and 15 minutes drive from Warsaw Chopin Airport. And check out the pool on the 44 floor. You cannot beat the view!Definitely a great place to stay.

Like on our last stay we liked the location, the gorgeous rooms, the huge marble bathrooms and the breathtaking views towards the Palace of Culture and Science. Breakfast buffet was huge but, same as almost exactly one year before, the wearing of masks was not enforced. Guests arriving without mask were given one, but if they decided to just carry it in their hand, nobody cared. Same with guests wearing masks when entering but roaming around at the buffet and through the restaurant without mask. Otherwise another great stay!

I've been staying here for many-many times for last decade, and it is still my primary selection for Warsaw - due to IGH service and status, convenient location and views, proven value and well suitable for business trip needs. However, I must admit that hotel is slightly getting dated and the need for improved and refreshed rooms (and especially bathrooms) is clearly there. All the services are well functioning and ultra professional, the food and beverage is also great as usual, and room sizes or views have never been a concern. But, I would really love them to start refresh process, making rooms neat and sleek, with refurbished bathrooms, well-controlled water pressure and temperature and also get back to premium cosmetics like they used to have.

Wow. My stay in this hotel was absolutely phenomenal from the moment I checked in til the moment I checked out. We were greeted at reception check by the lovely Paulina who was the most friendly and helpful. I noticed she had a trainee badge and if she is this amazing early on in the job I can imagine how much better she will get, she is an asset to this hotel. We were kindly upgraded to a room on the club floor. The room exceeded any expectation I had, it was huge, super clean and the attention to detail in the decor was incredible. Bath and shower was a bonus as most hotels offer one or the other. Cute toiletry sets were also provided which is a super cute touch. The concierge service was impeccable as any time I rang (for an adapter or bath robe for the spa) they were attentive and quick to deliver to the room with a smile. The view from the room was spectacular (specifically at night time) and the bed was super cozy. The wellness centre was spotless , with beautiful views of the city from the jacuzzi or loungers. Absolutely amazing stay. I would be happy to return again to stay in this room
