InterContinental Warsaw, an IHG hotel, is often celebrated for its immaculate and spacious accommodations, with many guests highlighting the spotless rooms and breathtaking views of the cityscape. The prime central location is a standout feature, bringing travelers close to key attractions and dining options. While the hotel's amenities, including the panoramic pool and well-equipped gym, are generally praised, some visitors mention overcrowding and service hiccups. Service is typically described as professional and attentive, though there are occasional reports of slower service. This hotel did not disappoint. was allowed to check in an hour before normal times and was escorted to my room on 27th floor, the room size was much bigger than expected and was spotlessly clean, bathroom was gigantic and had everything I needed, Staff were very friendly and were fluent English speakers. The breakfast was very nice and relaxed and had loads of choice, the leisure centre was state of the art and even though the pool was a bit small it was nice along with the jacuzzi and steam room. the views were easily the highlight and you got a perfect view of the palace of culture & science. Only problem was how crowded it could get quickly especially in evenings with children, usually later times are quieter, that was on last night however. lounge was nice and they had a good selection of cocktails, You cant miss the hotel its right in Warsaw city centre and if you are arriving in Warszawa Centralna its literally a 5 minute walk up the road, Concierge great help in getting taxi arranged for early morning flight. Will definitely come back again next time I'm in Warsaw :)

I was very happy to see that my favorite hotel in Warsaw the Intercintinental is already in full operation While many other hotels in warsaw are still close and isolated .
When it comes to health and safety in this pandemic time, I do not compromise. Since I was staying here a number of time before BC ( before Corona ..) , I knew that I can fully trust this hotel to be safe and clean. I was very happy to see all the same staff and same warm welcome . The Rooms are especially sterilized and all towels and Amenities are sanitized and especially packed in sterile way. I could disinfect my hands with a special dispenser in every corner. It was impressive indeed . Everything looks good and smells good . All staff with masks and gloves with full respect to clients safety.
The amazing breakfast was same as BC and I could have my daily exercise in the hotel’s excellent gym .
If you come to warsaw don’t take chances. book like me into this hotel and you will sleep better at night . Again congratulations to the excellent GM Marten whom I was happy to meet and to all the superb staff on every level that made my stay in Warsaw in this special time, very safe and pleasant .

We feel we know the hotel well, having spent a number of stays there. This time we spent 5 weeks in one of the serviced apartments. These are located on floors 8 to about 20. We had apt 807 for the whole of June 2019 and 907 and then 807 for the second part of our stay this time. The 8th floor has the communal clothes washing machine and the clothes drier - and is ideal if you are there for a longer stay.
The apartments have 3 rooms ; bathroom. bedroom, and sitting area+ kitchen.
The bathroom has a bath tub (not used by us) and a shower cabinet. That functioned well but would benefit from installation of grab rails to make it easier to get in and out. Towels were changed most days unless we stopped the staff replacing them?
The bed was large, firm and comfortable. We got one large duvet replaced with two single ones as our sleeping patterns differed. There was ample clothes hanging space in cupboards.
The lounge / kitchen had a low-powered microwave, an induction hot plate, and sink. We did not use the dishwasher. The settee was comfortable. The dining table and chairs were heavy.
All in all, we liked the apartment and would use again.
The hotel was not more than 20% full because of the Pandemic. Several features like the swimming pool and the sports facility were closed. The downtown restaurant opened spasmodically but the same menu was offered in the adjacent bar. The Wedel coffee shop on the ground floor offered limited snacks at lunchtime and after coffee. Until the Govt closed nearby restaurants, we frequented nearby Starbucks and Paul for breakfast.
Staff in the hotel were invariably friendly (my Polish is very limited); some of whom we recognised from visits in Earlier years. English is widely spoken and understood

This used to be my favourite hotel in Warsaw. The last experience was atrocious, so much so, that I feel embarrassed to explain it in this review.
I can only say that I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, unless serious considerations into reviewing management, staff and health and safety in the hotel is taken into account.

This hotel is a BIG health hazard, especially during this difficult Covid time.
In addition, I still didn't even receive welcome points for our stay, or any contact details we requested, on a few occasions, to get in touch with the manager/director of the hotel.

Not to miss the statement from the receptionist informing us that the hotel is not longer sanitising everything due to high cost of cleaning ... Cutting cost on absolutely everything and charging double for stay, seems is not going in the right direction. Well done ‘IHG cleaning promise’ assurance.

Avoidance, lies and rudeness seems to be the pattern in this property. Shame, as it used to be an outstanding place in central Warsaw. Sadly not anymore.

Avoid this place at any cost if you care about your safety and comfort, unless you like dirty smelly towels left (as new) by previous guests in your room and rude receptionist Emilia will tell you off and ignore you when you’ll mention that this is totally unacceptable)
Cancelled rest of the stay and left to much cleaner hotel

I stayed here earlier during the 2021 pandemic, and was baffled by the absence of health and safety regulations, but impressed by the rooms, the views, the pool and the house keeping

attention. The venue is huge, which in turn makes their staff attention hard to get, the reception is understaffed at peak hours, being an ambassador member, I m surprised that the dedicated desk was again not given priority attention, like last year.

I was set in # 2708, upgraded to a large room facing the Palace of culture. With about 30sqm it was far enough for 1 night, but beside its size and view it did not offer the same quality and service expected of a 5* and definitely a let down for an InterContinental.
It had a nespresso machine, but no milk capsules, the bathroom amenities are gone, soap is now liquid, and with shampoo both are in large dispensers on the wall like in an ibis hotel, gone the Agraria branded amenities that are this chain signature toiletries, not even 4* Crowne Plazza does that, no tooth brush or shaving kits any longer, just q-tips like in a 3*.

The bathroom had both a tub and a shower, but the shower had its main silicon joints covered with black mould :((( very very disappointing again.

The room is facing full east sunrise, but the curtain would not close fully but leave a 50 cms open gap, I pulled a bit to hard that night and it simply detached itself from the rail to the floor!
At midnight I had to escalade on a chair and window frame to try to set it back so I would avoid a 5am wake up because of the full sun in front of the room, it partly worked only. Very unpleasant situation, never happened before.

The check out was professional despite little attention to Ambassador guests, makes you wonder why you pay the program.
The bar on 1st floor has a good mixologist team and service is prompt even at rush hour.
The pool on top floor is a real perk but often used as an Instagram playground rather than a swimming pool, so you can't really swim among the wannabe insta' stars pausing in the water for the view. Maybe this hotel is after all not a real 5*
But centrally located, it is a good business venue, and if it is cheap, a good holiday venue too. Just don't expect luxury nor an high attention to service, maintenance seems to be weak, but hotel is still nice, just not really an IC 5*

They claim to be Luxury, clean and hygienic five star hotel..

Old is not luxury.. Mould and rust in kettles, poop stains in toilet and shaved hairs, dirty empty fridge, old bathrobes which were washed million times so that xxl size fits only xs person, old towels.. Worst hotel experience!

I have booked two rooms for my family, first room had mould in kettle, good that i have checked before making myself tea. You could poison me! Complained to reception and received replacement kettle with rust on the bottom! Seriously? Do you drink mouldy and rusty water?

Second room had poop stain on the toilet seat and small shaved hairs. After complaining to reception, cleaning lady came, cleaned part of it, still left few poop stains on the seat, apologised and left. After second complaint to reception had to ask multiple times for room change, as this room was way to disgusting to stay!

Third room, which i got as replacement, fridge was a bit dirty, but that part i didn't care already, anyway I wasn't using it.

Each room had black mould in the corners of the showers, probably another luxury component.

Bed in description was 180 / 210 cm, in reality it's 160 / 210. This part also was a scam!

Thought to go to "luxury" spa, was shocked again. It's like public pool with lots of people. Water from the floor, where people spit and walk in shoes were mopped back into swimming pool! Spa reception gives you one towel on the entrance in which you have to sweat in sauna and then after shower you have to dry yourself with same sweaty towel.. While you're naked in shower area, cleaning lady can come without knocking, while you're standing there naked.

How they fix dirt stains on the sealing is another piece of art!

3 rooms out of 3 were dirty and not sustainable for their credo "clean and hygiene".

In the middle of the night room service woke my sister up, who was staying in second room and offered her milk. Room service messed up with some other customer room, people are sleeping in the middle of the night!

For breakfast everything was cold, except freshly made omelet, which wasn't bad but also wasn't that good. Waste of your time and money.

Also for pets they don't even offer a bowls for food and water. It's not pet friendly.

All i got from reception was :"sorry, probably you have bad luck".

From other receptionist got small discount on check out, which is literally nothing for all the discomfort and health threat they have made.

Thanks, but it's not a bad luck, it's a bad service!

It's embarrassment. 100% not recommended!

Dear Mr. Androsavo, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the InterContinental Warsaw hotel. Please accept our most sincere apologies for the discomfort you experienced during your stay. It is definitely not the norm for us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem. I passed your message to the Housekeeping, F&B, and RiverView department heads. We talked with our staff about the cleaning shortcomings in the room and in the Wellness Centre area. We will make the necessary adjustments to prevent these situations from repeating in the future. When it comes to the bed sizes, the upgraded room with a view of the Palace of Culture had a different kinds of beds of which you should be informed by our staff. We do offer the pet amenities such as bowls for food and water for the dogs. We also have the walking the dog service available in the hotel. To receive such services you can always contact our Concierge or make a note about the pet in your reservation. We are sorry that due to the change of the rooms some misunderstandings could occur. Despite the bad experience you have had, we hope to welcome you again to show you the better side of the service we provide and exceed your satisfaction on the next occasion of visiting Warsaw. I've been staying here for many-many times for last decade, and it is still my primary selection for Warsaw - due to IGH service and status, convenient location and views, proven value and well suitable for business trip needs. However, I must admit that hotel is slightly getting dated and the need for improved and refreshed rooms (and especially bathrooms) is clearly there. All the services are well functioning and ultra professional, the food and beverage is also great as usual, and room sizes or views have never been a concern. But, I would really love them to start refresh process, making rooms neat and sleek, with refurbished bathrooms, well-controlled water pressure and temperature and also get back to premium cosmetics like they used to have.

We've stayed at the hotel many times over the years and we've always had a wonderful stay, however this wasn't the case a few days ago when we stayed for one night and this was due to the exceptionally long queue at reception on checking in. We then had to re-queue as there was an issue with the key card. Considering that this is a 5 star hotel, the endless queue which sailed from the reception desk to the front entrance is not acceptable as they admitted that they were at full capacity, so if this is the case, then management should have planned in advance. We were also anonymously told by a member of staff that the hotel management is aware of this due to the many customer complaints, but they still continue to under staff the reception as well as the housekeeping staff (there are just 15 staff to clean and prepare all rooms). And so, it's clear that the hotel is charging 5 star prices, for a 3 star service and the staff are picking up the slack whilst the hotel continue to make their usual profits.
We visit Warsaw 8 times a year, so we will return to one of our other favourite hotel next time.
The staff however, were helpful and lovely as always.

Dear Eleni102, I appreciate you for sharing your review about your recent stay. I am very sorry that you did not experience an exemplary hotel stay due to your check in experience and that our hotel seemed to be understaffed. This is certainly below our usual high standard of service. Please be assured that I have noted and forwarded your comments for the management to improve. We chose this hotel for a weekend stay without children. Generally undeniable attributes of this hotel are the location in the city center and a swimming pool probably on the 46th floor of the building (with a view of the Palace of Culture and Science). The rooms are medium in size, the bathroom is ok, but unfortunately the interiors feel the passing of time. The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the bedding, the pillows under the pillowcase were just dirty, the same quilt. We were apologized for this (and charged a discount) during check-out, but the disgust remained. The organization of breakfast because of the pandemic also leaves a lot to be desired, you will wait a long time for a meal and we did not feel safe in the crowded kitchen. This should not be the case for this price.

I am staying in a lot of IHG group hotels worldwide and I’m very content usually. I stayed at this hotel before and it was very good, this time it was bad. So bad that, as I told the receptionist, I don’t think they can call themselves intercontinental.
There was No service at all. It was impossible to get housekeeping service, even after I asked for assistance at the reception it took 2 days. no bell boy service, the cleanliness and the management of the room was mediocre. I had a reservation for club room which costed a significant amount of money, the club is opening only at noon and serves only soft drinks and hot beverage until 18:00, disgrace!!!
At the last day of my staying there was no electricity in the bathroom, I did not bother to call for assistance because I left the hotel after breakfast.
The concierge service was poor. They had no idea for what to do in the city during a day of holiday and even had no clue for where I can find an opened pharmacy in the city, disappointing !!!
The icing on the top was receiving a wake up call at 05:00 am which probably was meant to wake up another hotel guest. (Hope he didn’t missed his flight)
It felt like staying at folty’s tower, l will look for
another place to stay in Warsaw next time.
