While guests commend the hotel's cleanliness and comfortable rooms, opinions on value are mixed, with some finding services overpriced. Detailed Reviews
During my previous stay I had a few issues so got in touch with the Guest Relations Manager Malgorzata and she was wonderful. She heated the swimming pool up for me as I had found it far too cold during my previous visit and I was lucky enough to have it to myself twice as they limited the number of guests due to Covid.
As a Gold Accor member I was upgraded to a suite and found a nice welcome gift and got some flowers the second day which I really appreciated. The Accor loyalty programme is really one of the best ones I belong to and when staying at a Sofitel you always feel really looked after and in 2 weeks I will be staying at the Obelisk Sofitel in Dubai. I was so sad to discover that the Sofitel in Wroclaw had closed down, I was staying in their Presidential Suite the night before the country went into lockdown and then the hotel closed down permanently which is a great loss.
The restaurant at the Sofitel Victoria was closed but I highly recommend Epoka across the road next to the Raffles hotel which is also part of the Accor chain. The Raffles hotel has an excellent bar and restaurant where I had lunch one day. I had dinner in the Sofitel bar one night and was disappointed that when the man at the table next to me left, no-one bothered to clean the table despite all the Covid rules and they weren't exactly overworked as there was hardly anyone there.
The hotel quoted me 300 PLN for an airport transport, I just got a taxi and paid the fixed price of 55 PLN. It only takes 10 minutes to get to and from the airport so the high price proposed by the hotel really isn't worth it.
I will of course stay here again on my next visit and hopefully will be able to have dinner in the restaurant which was very good during my previous visit.

We always stay at this hotel, but due to Covid-19 we were a little anxious. But we need not have worried! From the moment we arrived the staff could not have done enough for us. We were allocated a lovely room overlooking the Square. At all times our welfare was important and we felt safe the whole time we were there. Hand sanitisers were in reception and the lifts as well as in the entrance to the breakfast room. Breakfast was available - hot and cold dishes available. You could choose what you wanted and it would be delivered to your table. The swimming pool area was open and numbers are limited so you always felt safe. The bar area ensured tables were cleaned after each use, the restaurant was not open but you could eat in the bar from a limited menu. Good choice of wines and cocktails available. This hotel is in a brilliant location to explore Warsaw. Thank you very much Sofitel Warsaw for another wonderful stay and we look forward to staying with you again in 2021. We wish you luck for the remainder of 2020!

The hotel is located close to the old town, far from the Zloty Terrace Mall. Great breakfasts are delicious and great variety. Not large rooms. Comfortable beds. Take good care of the event we celebrated. The employees' attitude was a little disappointing, always smiling and asking how to help, but in practice only helping to order taxis (they seem to benefit from this because they asked several times if I needed a taxi) but when they needed help like getting a pin to get a SIM out on the cell phone they said they had no way to help ( Any office pin can solve this) room service was disappointing and expensive. And the overall price was high in my opinion.

I really enjoyed my stays here before the pandemic and this property used to be one of the best hotel in Warsaw. Unfortunately a lot changed since then.
Breakfast and check in were good.
The room was really not clean. I found 5 hairs from different persons in different places of the room. I wouldn't even accept this in an Ibis so let apart a Sofitel.
Either in housekeeping, front desk or F&B the hotel is clearly understaffed and you can expect long waits and very basic room cleaning.
The hotel justified basic room cleaning because of covid, but no one is wearing a mask across the property (I understand this is a government regulation but why do you implement counterproductive measures when wearing a mask isn't even mandatory?). Covid or not having a clean room is a must and the room I was assigned during my 2-nights stay was not clean.
At the swimming pool, I was instructed to take back my towel to the host after using the pool. I did not, and he asked me where was the towel as I was leaving to the lift. I don't see the point of this. Why paying a pool attendant to annoy people? Where is the added value of this service? In the meantime the pool was clearly overcrowded and cleaning the gliding floor would have been a better way to use your ressources.
I visited the bar on the Saturday evening. Waited 5 min near the entrance but wasn't even acknowledged or greeted though the staff clearly saw me waiting. I finally seated at a table with empty glasses and waited for 25 min. Nothing happened and I didn't even get the menu. I ended up at Raffles bar across the square (which is much, much better and prices are very similar).
Overall, this property isn't bad but isn't good either and used to be much better.

Love the pool area. The pool is magnificent, it is like nothing that I have ever seen before, large indoor pool with ambient lighting, and when you are swimming you can see your reflection in the ceiling, it is very unique.
The hotel’s public area’s are very large and spacious and very grand. The bar area is very nice, the service is great, they make some amazing cocktails and you have a lovely view of Pilsudski Square.
It is an older style five star hotel, so some of the furniture & fixtures are dated, however our room was very spacious and clean.
The highlight of the room was the big comfortable bed, with oh so soft pillows and doona with nice quality linens. Good block out curtains and a good working air conditioner. The only thing that disrupted our sleep was the continual road noise and we were on the 5th floor! If it wasn’t so noisy, it would have been the ideal sleep environment – so pack some ear plugs if you would like to sleep.
The bathroom was very clean, with quality toiletries, large fluffy towels and the cleaning staff did an amazing job in cleaning the room.
There is a huge range of breakfast items to choose from with a lovely selection of small goods, fresh breads & pastries, fruit platters and yoghurts, something to suit everyone. If you are lucky enough to get Chef Agnieszka on the egg station, she makes an amazing omelette.
My only complaint about the breakfast area is that you continually need to find staff to order your coffee which is very frustrating. It wasn’t a one-off occasion, we stayed for five days and this happened every day and it was all guests not just us that were continually looking for staff to order their hot beverage, you should not need to do that in a five star hotel.
The room service menu is quite limited, and you need to pay a delivery fee to have the food brought up to your room, and it is quite expensive, but the food was tasty.
The hotel is conveniently located and walking distance to the Old Town Centre, shopping centres, lovely parks, bars & restaurants. It is a good value hotel value hotel.
All the staff we encountered were lovely and the cleaning team did an amazing job of cleaning our room spotlessly clean – thank you.

Location is great, Brasserie Modern serves delicious food and breakfast is good but bread selection is limited (no baguette). Rooms are standard. Although there is one type of family suite you can choose in their website, the receptionist (Karolina) gave us rooms at the back with average back street view and then charged a premium for changing to rooms in the front with a view of the square calling them "luxury". Our connecting rooms had heating issues that could not be resolved.

I stay here every time I come to Warsaw and I sometimes come to Warsaw just to stay here. I'm a Platinum member of their ALL Accor loyalty programme which is the best one I belong to and I always get a nice upgrade.
The guest relations manager Malgorzata was on holiday during my visit but prepared everything for my stay just the way I like it and the operations manager Michal came out to greet me personally when I checked in so I was feeling special before I even got to my lovely Opera Suite which also feels like home.
A housekeeping supervisor called Anna arrived to make sure everything was alright and then got another housekeeper to come and make the bed exactly how I like it which always seems like mission impossible for a simple request to have an extra sheet put under the duvet cover so that I can have a sheet over me during the night if I get too hot and push the duvet aside.
The first evening I was there I had dinner across the road in Epoka next to the Raffles hotel and I highly recommend it. The other two nights I had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel as they had a special half board offer which I found to be an excellent idea and I hope they do it again. Irena looked after me very well in the restaurant and provided excellent service.
I love sitting in their lobby bar and the barman Gregory actually remembered which cocktail I had had on my previous visit and made it for me again and when I arrived just after the midnight closing time one evening he still made me a cocktail which I appreciated and I enjoyed trying different cocktails during my stay. I would just like the bar to stay open a bit longer. I had spent a night at the Renaissance at the airport before coming to the Sofitel as I had arrived on a late flight and their bar was open till 1am which was perfect.
I also love the swimming pool which is one of the main reasons I stay at the Sofitel and I made sure to go for a swim every day. The gym is a bit small.
As usual I enjoyed my stay, the staff were all wonderful and made me feel very welcome so of course I will be back again.

The location can not be better among the old town and new town, you can go walking wherever you wish.
The facilities as the lobby, swimming pool, etc.. very good aswell.
The rooms, at least the two rooms ocupied by my family were renovated (except the carpet) and really good. but the bathrooms were Century XX bathroom pending of a renovation and the soap & shampoo in bulk in a 5 star hotel should be revised.

Me and my wife booked a holiday from December 28 to Friday, January 3 in Poland Warsaw, and we booked the hotel Sofitel Warsaw Victoria, it is the best hotel we have ever been to in all our travels. The staff are really sweet and friendly and they help you with everything, if you need something you Will get it, they are there for you 100%. breakfast is really delicious and the selction is outstanding. The pool area is nice and very luxurious. The Rooms are very classy and clean and the bed is very good. Location to the city is the best, if you want to see the new and the Old city of Warsaw.
A speciel thanks to Cezary who Works at the sofitel hotel, never have We meet someone so professionel and service minded like him. We normally never write a reviuew but Cezarys Carring personallity deserves this attention.

In some regards this is a challenging review to write. I had some expectations for the stay given the hotel is a Sofitel, an upper tier Accor brand but also knew that the hotel was not likely to deliver perfection like I am used to receiving from Fairmonts.
On arrival there was no one to assist with luggage from the taxi (I am traveling with a senior who uses a walker so we have a lot of stuff :)) but help was provided to the room as apparently the bellman was occupied helping another guest when the taxi arrived. We were promptly checked in and went up to the room which ended up not having the bed configuration reserved. Upon discovering this the bellman said he would go and sort things out. About 15 mins later he returned with keys to a room on the 7th floor. This room had a great view of the Piłsudski Square and also had a little side office attached. It was definitely an upgrade from the room we had booked and I appreciate that as a Gold member of ALL.
We really ended up enjoying this room as it was functional for our needs, had a Nespresso machine and upgraded amenities like Hermés toiletries as well as a tub and walk in shower. So, as far as the room goes things ended up very well in the end but the mix up at the outset was unfortunate as the hotel was made aware of the requirements during booking and via phone call as well since we also needed a walk in shower. The beds were very comfortable and we have not slept as well since leaving Hotel Victoria!
We had breakfast included in our rate and this was of high quality and met our needs very well. We also enjoyed the bar and received responsive and kind service from the staff. I would echo some of the previous comments regarding the elevators which were a bottle neck, especially around breakfast time. I am not certain, but it appeared that 1 of 3 elevators was broken for the duration of our 3 night stay so this likely exacerbated the problem.
Notwithstanding the bumpy start to the stay I would recommend the Sofitel Hotel Victoria and we look forward to a return stay September 16th….hopefully without the bumps :) I also hope to use the pool, something we did not have time to do on this stay. I think the hotel does try to create memorable experiences and values the loyalty of its guests…..just a bit more attention to detail would help!

Sorry, I did not visit the pool.
Yes, there are!
I didn't ask about that either, but they have a lot to choose from on the menu. The staff helped me many times, one day I called the reception and without a word during the night they brought me a charger for my phone.
I would very much appreciate if you could share with me your reservation details then I will get the possibility to see if your room does include the breakfast.
