A reasonable wee hotel let down by its restaurant staff. Indifferent and i assume that they thought that they should be doing something better than serving. Starter and main course arrived at the same time. Mmmm. That is going to be ... unusual. He took the main away. When i was ready for it, it had obviously been microwaved. Bone dry. I arrived tonight. 3 more days to go. Do I cut loose or hope that it will improve. My instinct tells me to select the former
Pros: · Very nice and helpful lady at the reception, arranged a taxi for us at 4 am, called the room when the driver got there. Cons: · Needs a refurb. Massive spider, moths and bugs flying around, which grossed me out. Very basic, would not stay again but if you don’t mind unwanted wildlife and need a cheap place to sleep in for a few hours before an early flight, then go for it.
Nice hotel, new rooms, very clean and quiet although it's near the road. Easy access to public trans, parking near by. Small shower, but it's ok. This hotel holds 2 Stars, but don't by impress by the prospect. Restaurant looks nice and clean, we didn't have enough time.
If you have an overnight layover or even few hours in Warsaw, that's the place! We landed at 12:30 pm (about 9 hours flight from New York USA) and had a flight out at 10:30 pm same day, 5 minutes Uber drive ($5 us dollars) and we got to Gordon hotel, I booked a "last minute room" for $30 so the 3 of us can take a shower and change clothes, tram is 2 minutes walk out of the lobby, about $1 each and we had a fun ride to the old town (25 minutes ride) walked around (beautiful place) had a nice Polish Lunch (restaurant recommended by TripAdvisor) great food, about $5-6 for a nice side dish, souvenir shopping, Arcadia mall visit and Uber back to the hotel to pick the luggage up (different Airline and we couldn't send it directly to the last destination) called an Uber at 8pm and we were back at the airport few minutes later - couldn't believe how much we got to see and experience in few hours, weather was nice and we had wonderful time in Warsaw, would come back!…
We had a family room (nonsmoking) but we felt a very strong cigarette smoke smell inside. Prior our arrival, the staff tried to ventilate the room by opening the window which made the room very cold (it was -6 degrees outside). We have arrived at late night with small kids so had to stay there till the morning. Bathroom condition was bad and completely inadequate with what we saw on booking.com. They show only 1 bath from the executive room while majority of rooms have much worse utilities (see our pics below). After the fact we have found real pictures on posted by customers on tripadvisor.com. The manager rejected our complains and said that he is not obliged to publish regular bath pictures. We were disappointed with the reaction of the manager when we complained in the morning. Instead of apologizing for cigarette smell in non-smoking room and inadequate pictures he said that we have too high expectations for the two star hotel.…
The hotel is near to the Chopin airport.I stayed for a day before moving to my studio apartment. There is a restaurant at the ground floor near to the reception. They have a friendly staff and I enjoyed my stay.
Room was lovely and spacious. Bathroom was clean with a good shower, staff were helpful and friendly and the location is really convenient for taxis and public transport. However, unless you enjoy waiting for over an hour and being served completely random dishes that aren't what you ordered, don't bother with the restaurant after breakfast.
Restaurant service appeared to be very disappointing. We arrived at 21:15. The waiter was ignoring us for 20 minutes. We ordered meals and beer. The waiter told us that we had to wait, as the kitchen was very busy that night (but only a half of all tables was occupied). We agreed to wait. At 21:58 the waiter came and told us that the kitchen was closing at 22:00, so no food was prepared for us. We were sitting in the restaurant for 45 minutes! We never got a beer we ordered. 4 glasses of beer could be served in 30 min. No one even apologized. I was furious heading to our room.
Stayed here in a group for three nights. Location for us was fine as we wanted to be close to airport. First the positives - the room was clean and reasonable in size and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ok in terms of selection and quality and about what was expected for the cost of the hotel. The negative for us was the food on the first night. There were 28 in our group all booked in as group months before so out arrival shouldn't have been a surprise however for the kitchen it was and before all of us had ordered they closed the kitchen which was not that convenient for those who had not ordered. The second night not all of the food ordered arrived with main courses being sent out before starters. Having said that the food itself was very good just a shame that the kitchen seemed under staffed to provide food for all guests.…
