Good breakfast with great local bread. Nice bar on 1st floor. Complaints: we had a meeting in one of the hotel meeting rooms. It was very hot, and there was no way to adjust the air circulation. Also, the reception and the breakfastroom staff did not wear masks properly. It looked very unhygiene, with their masks hanging somewhere under the nose or even under their mouth.

Hotel's Favorite
We spent 2 nights at the hotel when visiting Warsaw and we were very happy with the accommodation. The hotel is easy to find and is located near to a number of bars & restaurants albeit around 20 minute taxi drive to the Old Town. The staff were lovely at check in and the communal areas, and room itself, was extremely clean and well kept. If you are looking for somewhere safe, reliable and convenient to stay, i would highly recommend.

Good hotel. Nice rooms, I got upgraded to executive, which meant top floor with a nice view. There was an iron and ironing board in the room, but it wasn’t a huge room. Breakfast was good. Only thing that prevents me from giving the hotel 5 stars is the location. While somewhat central, it is not that close to the main tourist attractions and there aren’t a whole lot of restaurants and other amenities right by it.

Stayed at this hotel previously and it remains a really nice hotel with great rooms, pleasant staff, good facilities and location of 10 mins walk to Warsaw Central railway station The previous visit made me return this time and I was pleased to find all the same good things However ......there is a lot of construction work right outside the hotel, some across the road and some on the hotel’s land right outside the front door which totally impacted my stay as these workers started at 6am and making lots of noise from word go. Had it not been 32c on average across the three days it maybe wouldn’t have been an issue but it was a choice between open the window and get woken up at 6am every day or close the window and bake in your room as the aircon isn’t up to much. This meant three really bad nights sleep. The lady at reception wasn’t remotely interested when I suggested that surely their own construction workers can be told to start later and that and as IHG spire member on a pretty empty hotel shouldn’t they have put me in a room on the other side of the hotel. Indeed I’d imagine they could probably have put everyone on the other side of the hotel. This would impact my choice of hotel when I return to warsaw unless I was 100% sure this construction work was finished so it’s likely I’ll go elsewhere The hotel also didn’t honour its extra IHG reward points for declining housekeeping which isn’t good!

Room Tip: Ask to stay on the main road side of the hotel to avoid the noise from construction work

Response from Marta Oćwieja, Guest Services / Front Office at Holiday Inn Warsaw City Centre, an IHG hotel

Dear Mr Jason M, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel after your most recent visit in Warsaw. I'm glad to hear our hotel has offered you great hospitality in the past and I would like to thank you for your loyalty towards our brands. As an IHG Rewards Spire member we value your opinion and we are committed to deliver true hospitality at any time. I’m very sorry to hear that your last month stay was less than satisfactory and I sincerely apologize for it. The construction works you mentioned have been commissioned by the local municipality in order to upgrade the water mains necessary in the area and we had very limited to no control over it. Unfortunately, the water pipes in question were passing right in front of our building misleading our guests that this project belonged to the hotel, therefore we couldn’t avoid the confusion. However, happy to inform you that this one time off inconvenience will not be repeated in the future as the works have been completed. We are in a process now in redesigning our landscape and in few days the front yard of hotel will be back as it was. My apologies for the delay we have granted to the points for Greener stay. I have personally taken care of it yesterday and you should already be able to see it in your account. Please, feel free to contact me for any assistance with your future booking at costina.gandac@ihg.com. Looking forward to welcoming you back at our property. Best regards, Costina Costina Gandac General Manager – Holiday Inn Warsaw city center
