The hotel is situated almost in the centre of the Old Town of Torun. Great base for the trips. Hotel is clean and nice, has climate of the 20-30's of the XX century. Great stay. I will fully recommend :-)

If you like quirky, historic hotels, the Pod Orlem is just the job. Quaint interiors and old furnishings really great you in to the spirit of this medieval city. Facilities are great and the complimentary local gingerbread on the pillow is a nice touch. I didn't have the breakfast, but complimentary coffee Is adjacent to the reception desk. As others have mentioned, it's right bang in the centre. Couldn't fault it.

Hotel is a few minutes walk from the city centre, many bars and restaurants and the river. Major historic sights are similarly close. Buses are available just outside the city walls. It is five minutes by bus to the train station or a twenty minute walk. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Free coffee is available in the reception area. Room was comfortable and facilities were fine. Breakfast was quality with a wide choice at the right price. The only problem was that builders were working on the front exterior. The hotel frontage was therefore covered in polythene. This did not spoil my stay.

Great location in the center of the old town. Paid parking right in front of the hotel or inside. Very nice, helpful, and polite staff. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit "from the 90's", however it was clean and brightly lit. Shower a bit tight, but OK. Beds are OK by Polish standards. Keep in mind, it's a 3***. The shower handle could be changed to givea better stream of water. The hotel has no elevator so if you have heavy suitcases it is a bit challenging.
