The charm of the Pod Orlem has somehow survived through the years, the wars and people re-drawing the map of Central Europe. The old photos on the wall, from Prussian and German times, are real, not repro. It's a functional, unpretentious hotel, yet with one of the best breakfasts I have found anywhere in Europe. Located in the heart of... More

This hotel is perfectly located at 100 meters from the heart of Torun. Quiet street, beautiful rooms with character and charm, and perfect breakfast for 5 euro per person. And staff is very helpful and friendly. If you look for a basecamp to visit the beautiful city, this is the place to be.

Pod Orłem is quite and old hotel (guides say it is the oldest). Parts of the old, XVI-th century wall are visible when walking down the corridors and staircase. Rooms are small, cozy and clean, one overlooks the street, the other overlooks the patio. The floor cracks under steps, there is an atmosphere :)

Great hotel for weekend stay. In the very center of old town. Rooms are clean and quite big. Bathroom was not in high standard but very clean. I think for this price it's really good. Breakfast for 19PLN was great, lots of choice from cereals, scrambled eggs, cheese, meat to sweets and fruits. Decent coffee. Over all very good experience,... More

Stayed in this hotel on a one night stopover and what a great choice, with the exchange rate, it was a bargain even with paying for breakfast. Location is perfect if you want the old town, right on doorstep, rooms were on the small side, but clean and modern and the shower was amazing, the bed was big enough and... More

Lovely hotel, decor inside very welcoming. Breakfast a little pricey but amazing selection. Room was nice, looked newly refurbished. Walls are paper thin but they can't help that in such an old building. Located within the walled old town a short walk from the main square. Parking on the street nearby always seemed available, hotel has some but is a... More

Excellent location, quite in the center of town. Easy to park but not in their parking place. Rooms are clean, not outstanding but certainly worth what you pay. Beat restaurants and places worth visiting are in the neighborhood. Helpful personnel.

This is an old Polish hotel with old dark furnishings, not really my cup of tea. However the location does override that. You are in the centre of town in 2 minutes. There is absolutely no noise at night, which surprised me, as it is an old hotel with squeaky floorboards. The room size is good but I did take... More

For this price (approximately 36 euros) for a double room Pod Orlem offers excellent value - you are right in the city centre in a hotel with tradition and character. Corridors with paintings from Monet or Simmons, nice old furniture and a restaurant with lovely kind-of-frescoes with sunflowers will make you feel like you are in Poland in the beginning... More
