The hotel is in a fantastic area to get into the main part of the town within 3 minutes walking. As for the hotel very clean the rooms were comfortable. The staff were all polite could not fault any one of them. I did not try the restaurant in the evening so can’t comment on the food other than to say what food I saw while having a beer in the bar it look very nice. As for the breakfast you can’t fail it what ever you’re need there is something for you. Overall I would revisit.
I have a few small complaints. 1 the bar shut very early so no way you could have a night cap. 2 no curtain over the bath shower which made it difficult not to flood the bathroom floor. 3 I decided one night to have a bath. But when I ran that water I was shocked to see it was a rust colour that put me off getting into it, after this I never felt clean. Mind games.
Overall I’d recommend you to stay here but just remember the water

The hotel has a perfect location at the Torun's medieval old town - just a few minutes walk from all major must seen places but in a quiet area. The room was big and comfortable. The stuff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good, including big variety of regional food as well as made to order dishes. The only minus was that the restaurant and bar were closed at 9 pm on Sunday - no chance for any food/ drinks at the hotel later on.

Upon arrival they gave us a room on the second floor which was minuscule with two minuscule beds – it was not comfortable at all! Apparently all the rooms on this floor are like this because of the roof configuration. Fortunately Caroline the receptionist managed to change it for another room on the 1st floor which had normal dimensions. Otherwise the hotel is clean and well maintained. The breakfast is wonderful – a great variety of foods, fresh pastries. Later we also had a lunch at this same restaurant and enjoyed it a lot. Upon check-out the receptionist presented us with a bag of the traditional Torun ginger bread – what a nice touch!

The staff is nice and helpfull, but getting a call at 12:23 reminding me that the end of stay is at noon was deeply unpleasant. The decor of rooms is late Orbis (for non-Poles tired and old fashioned). The beds, pillows, sheets and curtains need to be seriously improved. There is negative ambiance in the restaurant and there is no launge for hanging out while this is not a real business hotel. The price to value is ok, but it is not the place for a romantic getaway, even though it could be. The location is great, but the hotel could do more with it.

Luxury, boutique hotel in the center of Toruń, which combines modern interiors with centuries-old, historic exteriors. We rented 2 suites and one standard room for a family trip with 2 dogs. All rooms were clean, comfortable, with heating, air conditioning, coffee makers, bathrobes, and slippers. The suites were spacious. My suite had a balcony, a kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, and a large living area which was combined with the bedroom area and an open floor plan bathtub and a separate, rainfall-type shower. The hotel provided gifts in the suite, which included a bottle of wine, 2 wine glasses and chocolate covered gingerbread (“pierniki” for which Toruń is famous). The dogs got their bowls and some dog food/treats compliments of the hotel. The hardwood floors, windows that could be opened to let the fresh air in, and the bidet toilet seat in one of the bathrooms were all a nice touch. I was impressed by the design, perfectly combining modern and historic elements. The furniture and furnishings were all classy and well made. The view from the suite on the third floor was also amazing. If you open the window in the bedroom, you can see the red brick historic buildings and hear the relaxing sound of the stream running by the hotel. Having stayed in numerous luxury resorts, I have never seen a “pillow menu” offered by a hotel. 1231 Hotel offers 9 types of pillows to choose from. Needless to say, the bed and the bedding were comfortable. One thing that needs improvement (at least as of July 2024) is the lack of standard TV channels in English (CNN, for example). Plenty of channels in Polish and German though, and Netflix streaming is available. There’s no bellman and no valet parking (paid parking is by the hotel), so be ready to handle your own luggage and park your car (it wasn’t a big deal for us but would have been nice to have someone deliver our luggage to the room and park/retrieve our car). The breakfast buffet has some good dining options (while it wasn’t free, it was super affordable). Plenty of good restaurants nearby. The Vistula River / Wisła is just around a corner, a short walk away. Charming grounds, friendly and helpful, English speaking staff, and peaceful / quiet area that is nonetheless close to the old town and very walkable. Overall, the suites were top notch, the staff members were friendly, and the location was great. I’d definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

We had a deluxe room with a castle view on the 1st floor (104). The room was spaceous and very clean. The view out of the window was romantic. The location is perfect, the staff very friendly and helpfull, the breakfast delicious! We had lunch in the hotel restaurant once, the food was of very good quality and delicious, but also very expensive. We would definately choose the hotel again!

The hotel is situated in a very atmospheric location, close to all the most important tourist attractions of Toruń. Very clean, well-equipped room of a very high standard. Delicious breakfast with a choice of dishes you can think of. We will definitely stay there again.

Good location in the old town. Close to walk to all the sights. The room was ok in size but a bit old interior. Both the carpet and the furniture felt dated. The room had no iron and no ironing board. We also had to ask reception for a wine opener even as they had wine bottles in the min bar. The staff was nice but could not speak much English. In my opinion this hotel survives on the fact that the location is good and that it might have been a four star hotel at one time - but it is not a four star hotel any more - even if the rating says so. The adjacent restaurant 4 Pory Roku is better than the hotel. Great staff and pretty good food as well.

One of the best hotels I‘ve ever stayed in. We slept very good. The beds are really comfortable with a selection of pillows. At breakfast I particularly liked the fact that you could order freshly prepared egg dishes (included in the breakfast price). The sauna and gym area is very new and perfect cleaned. I love the mixture of history and modern design in this hotel. We will come back!

The hotel is beautifully designed and has a very interesting solution connecting the two buildings - an underground passage allows access from the new part to the restaurant located in the original hotel/mill building. A very interesting element is the information about the history of the place. The room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were very tasty, our additional request for natural yogurt was even fulfilled. A very nice restaurant, with friendly staff who ensure the satisfaction of even the youngest guests <3 The hotel also has access to a parking lot, which is not obvious in Toruń. The facility is wonderfully located right in the old town, but at the same time very intimate - there is no noise from the market, and the music from the hotel's bar stops at 10 p.m. and it is very comfortable to sleep even with the window open.

We have also car park with 5 monitoring spots next to the hotel and 30 guarded parking spaces 50 meters from hotel. Cost of the parking is 40 PLN per day.
