Booked at last minute in a hurry. Worst I've ever stayed in. Cheap but too much for what it is. First room not cleaned after previous visitor. Second room not great either. Dirty carpet, ensuite tiny and furniture old. Couldn't face breakfast.

The hotel is very old. It was built in 1910. It lost his roof during WWII. It has been renovated like 20 years ago I guess, so 't expect too much. Thin doors, old CRT TV sets, poor choice of TV channels. However the room was very clean, complimentary soap, shampoo and mineral water. Free WiFi internet. Hotel location is great! Near to old town with tram stop, ATM and a few restaurants like 10 meters from the building. Great value for money.

Hotel is very well located in Old Town. I have paid 30 EUR for single room with breakfast so it was good deal. It was even a bath. Very good choice for business stop. Service was also very kind. I will definetely reconsider it again next time in Poznań.

Good location and very decent room for the price. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Only big minus was that it was freezing cold in the room - according to the reception the central heating is handled by the city and is beyond their control but it is still a big minus.

I was thinking of a good thing to say and there are a few: - location - friendly staff - decent breakfast Unfortunately it doesn't make up for old, dark room. Cold water in the shower ( I reported it and nothing was done). I don't even remember when for the last time I saw such a bad room. The furnishing is horrible - the chair was almost falling apart when seated on. You could feel the springs in the mattress. The curtains were not thick enough to cover the lights from the street. I felt "dirty" in the room although it was clean but you cannot do much even with the best cleaning when the furniture is 20 years old. I'm definitely not coming back.

Hotel Lech has a few positives, but the hotel is just too dated and worn out to be comfortable. The positives are: the staff is wonderful, the location is great, and the breakfast is fine. The wifi worked well too. But the physical facilities are just too dated and worn out to be comfortable. First, the carpeting is about 35 years old -- no matter what housekeeping does, you can't make a 35 year old carpet look clean. Second, the bathroom was the old fashion kind -- we couldn't take a shower. Third, the bed linens were quite old and not quite long enough to cover the mattress. And one could feel the springs when laying on that mattress. Finally, when I tried to sit on the chair in the room -- I went down practically to the floor. The everything was just worn out; and as a result, we could never feel comfortable when we were in our room.

We went to the tourist information to buy tickets for the trams and buses in Poznan valid for our stay there. I had seen on the internet site of ZTM (local transport authority) that you could buy tickets for 24, 48 and 72 hours or 7 calendar days. The information centre had only one ticket and advised us to use the ticket machines outside. Once you touch the screen you can choose language, kind of ticket and how many tickets using + or -. The airport bus 59 is part of the local transport and the final stop in the town centre is at the railway station but to get to Hotel Lech you should get off the second time the bus stops at Ronda Kaponiera. Yes, both trams and buses may stop twice in this area which shows in the timetable. I suggest you use the route planner of ZTM to get an idea how the system works and to get an update on any changes. After the first stop at Ronda Kaponiera the bus crosses the bridge over the railway line and turn down to the right before stopping again. Walk back up the hill and turn right and you will see a high white building with the hotel name at the top of the wall on the left hand side of the street Swiety Marcin. The total walk to the hotel is 550 m. If you want you can go one stop to Zamek with any tram going to the right when coming up the hill and shortening the walk to 150 m. When going home take tram 13 from Gwarna, go to stop Baltyk where bus 59 holds at the tram stop. When entering Hotel Lech the breakfast room is in front of you and the reception to the right. You will get straight to the lift without passing any stairs. A few rooms are facing the back yard but most rooms are looking out to the busy Swiety Marcin but little noise from the street was heard inside. I slept good and needed my alarm clock to get up in the morning. The heating could be adjusted to your choice. I stayed on the fifth floor and my sister on the fourth towards the back so I have photos from both rooms. Mine had a bath tub and she had a shower. Both rooms felt airy with the high ceiling and had comfortable beds, bed table, writing table with chair, easy chair, luggage rack, wardrobe, television and four bottles of water. When I tried to pay for the water in the room I was told it was for free. The bedtable lamp was not good for reading in bed. The Wi-Fi in my room was non existing most of the time but worked fine in my sister’s. If you need your internet connection I believe you’re better off in the lower floors. The breakfast gives you a good start of the day with everything you expect and more like three different “balls” of egg, tuna and vegetables. A black board in polish offered a free choice of freshly made eggs out of the kitchen so I had scrambled eggs flavoured with bacon. The hot item in the buffet was hot dogs. The hotel location is excellent as you can go east, west and south from the nearby Gwarna tram stop. To find the post office you turn right when leaving the hotel, cross Swiety Macin street and turn left into the first crossing street T. Kosciuszki and walk about 50 m and there it is on the right. The reception ladies gave an excellent service and were very friendly. The woman that checked us in spoke an astonishing good British English. We both felt very lucky having booked into Hotel Lech and we do recommend you to try it for the good value, the sumptuous breakfast but most of all for the good service given with a smile.

The hotel is situated near the theater and is very central in town. A 10 minutes walk to the old town. The room was very tiny. The bed was as noisy as the street only no tram was alles in my bed. TV oldfashioned. Smallingerland bathroom . Breakfast was not bad but no eggs available. Friendly staff. Clean room but hotel a bit oldfashioned.
