This hotel is quite big what nobody will expect when seeing the front of the hotel in the Main Street. Parking spaces are available. Take care to be on the right parking lot. No charging station for e-cars. The stuff is friendly and speaks English well. The room was clean and the bathroom was modern equipped. The spa area is big enough and has two saunas. The pool has 15 to 5 m
We spent a weekend in this hotel and our stay was okay. It’s in a perfect central location so the main street Piotrkowska is just few minutes away by walk. The staff in the hotel was friendly and helpful, we also had a tasty breakfast and used spa facilities. Our room was clean although in my opinion it could be renovated. In general, I recommend this hotel.
The hotel and the room were clean but the staff was incredibly unhelpful and unfriendly, the restaurant is in another hotel and so is the fitness centre. I slipped and hurt my back because there was loads of water on the floor on my way out the sauna and after asking them to give me another robe so I could get to my room they stared at me blankly and said no. After complaining that mine was soaked in water and I just wanted another robe, they called reception, asked me to wait and after waiting 15 minutes soaked wet they said no and didn't give another explanation. The breakfast is okay but you are not told what contains lactose or other allergens and the staff doesn't know either. Their English is poor and is very difficult to communicate any need you may have. It was a very unfortunate stay and I'm very disappointed in this "4" star hotel.…
Nuisance from the neighbors, the water is cold in the swimming pool, the temperature is low in the rooms in winter. Only the location is good and breakfast was good The furniture was very simple, there is no Smart TV
A very nice hotel, but its on one the main street running through the city the traffic noise can be excessive. It's a shame because the hotel itself was really good. The room was very nice, bathroom clean and everything worked. Staff friendly, helpful. Allowed us to store bags and called cabs for us. Thank you. Breakfast was ok, a decent selection.
This is an okay hotel, I travel a lot and generally stay at better hotels. On this trip my favorite hotel in town [Andels] was full so I stayed at the Ambasador. It was fine/okay but it wasn't amazing. The shower was tiny, breakfast pretty good but not amazing and the staff at the front desk were 75% motivated. I did leave an item behind that they found and held for me to pick up - kudos to them for that. The location is 2 blocks from the bottom of the Piotrowska and there are a reasonable amount of restaurants within a 10 minute walk and there is a Starbucks about the same walking distance.
Do not forget anything in the room, you'll NOT be able to get it back. People steel !!! I Forgot my phone charger and got in contact, but they said they do not have it. I'm sure where I forgot it, but THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT DID NOT TAKE CARE ABOUT IT. So be careful, do not forget anything, cause you'll never get it back.
We were 100% satisfied with this hotel. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. Probably the best breakfast in Poland. Food was great - mushroom risotto best we have ever had outside of Italy - real fragrance and taste of truffles for a change. Tuscan vegetable soup also highly recommended - truly authentic. Although this was purely a busines trip we truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Would highly recommend.Main shopping street in Lodz literally few minutes walk and a huge shopping complex a couple of minutes walk away.
As the previous review has stated there are two Ambasador Hotels on the same site. Ambasador Centrum and Ambasador Premium. We stayed in the Centrum part which is accessed directly from Pilsudskiego and is the older part of the complex. We had a standard room which apart from being on the small size was perfect for our needs. The decor was little dated but was clean and tidy. Breakfast was served in the restaurant of the newer Ambasador Premium and was plentiful with a good variety of hot and cold dishes. We used the pool and sauna which again is in the newer part of the complex. All was clean and the water temperature was spot on. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from Lodz’s main street and virtually next door to a shopping Galeria. We found it good value for money and would return but might ‘invest’ in an upgrade to the Premium side next time.…
I’ve read some of the reviews and they are confusing this new hotel with the older 3 star Ambasador near by (around the corner). I’ve stayed in both and recognise the wrong reviews for the intended hotel. The older one is an adequate 3 star - nice hotel, obviously cheaper but very functional for a visit to this city. Make no mistake, the new hotel is top notch, the staff are helpful, attentive and the restaurant is very good. I stayed two nights and it’s as good a four star hotel as any I’ve stayed in and comparable with any 4* anywhere in the world, so it’s definitely a thumbs up from me. Incidentally the price was quite a bit less than I expected to pay for a four star hotel. On my next visit to Łódź I will be staying here, no ifs or buts.
