We were passing the town and we had selected this place earlier. Finding the hotel parking was a bit tough because front entrance was on a walking promenade. Room's didn't have AC - and when you have extreme heat wave outside - the room was hot,... Bed mattresses were worn out which always derates the review. Breakfast wasn't that good, and the variety wasn't good either. This was the second derating matter. Hotel was located in the center of the old town and was absolutely great. We didn't dine at hotels restaurant - we tried to have drinks but no waiters appeared so we decided to leave and decided the same time that we will not dine at this place.

Undercooked food gave severe indigestion to the children. My advice: stay away from their restaurant.Would reccommend it only to those who enjoy sweet tomatoe soup and rock hard chips - that's what children got on their menu at the school trip.

This hotel is located right downtown on a walking street and seems to be quite famous as the wall is lined with pictures of dignitaries that have stayed here. My room was kinda smallish and the tv was really old. The shower kinda went back between hot and cold on it’s own accord but for me that wasn’t a huge issue. I would stay here again based purely on value and location. I didn’t try the restaurant unfortunately.

This is the hotel we always use when we are in town. The front desk is very helpful and the location is right downtown. We have had many excellent dinners at the hotel and the breakfast is very good. The price is affordable and the rooms are clean. Some of the rooms are more updated than others.

Not only is this hotel right on a Main Street by the square, but it is within walking distance of multiple parks, the main cathedral, many more historical churches and delightful museums, but it has restaurant coverage in the streets so visitors can enjoy the area and spend time as a people watcher in a comfortable setting. Inside there is a sauna and hot tub pool in a cave! Plus the people at the desk speak many languages and are so very helpful. I was in need of a private driver to visit my ancestral home village beyond the reach of public transportation, and a most hospitable front desk employee used his day off to escort me to the village my ancestors left 150 years ago. The hospitality and great rooms and location made this our best stop in 5 weeks of polish exploration.

The hotel was ok. Right in the center. Rooms are old style. No lift and none really there to help bringing luggages upstairs. I asked for help to a waiter which was super nice and helped me with my big luggage. Wifi working perfectly in the room. Overall extremely cheap.

We have arrived late afternoon to the hotel and first important thing to mention is that the hotel has a dedicated parking, available to its guests for a small fee of 20 PLN per night. The staff was very friendly and professional. We felt welcome. The room was clean, a bit old fashioned, but that is a part of the image of this hotel. The breakfast was good, it was all you can eat buffet with decent selection of continental breakfast foods. As mentioned, the location is great, but one has to remember that it can be noisy in the old town, especially during weekend nights (many pubs in the neighborhood).

Even you are standing in front of receptionist and obviously you are not part of ,,just arrived british drunk horde´´, there is no chance to talk to her/him before all the group boarded. Ok, maybe they came earlier and I didn´t notice. While I asked for quite room for 2 and receptionist mentioned they have couple fo them free, received very noisy room. Inner part of hotel, first floor, window into yard and several running air-co (July) there. After noticing this, receptionist refuse provide another room as they are full. Very polite. Anyway, worst overnight sleep in Poland during one month there. Shower was repserent by smallest cabinet (sorry shower) I ´ve ever seen. One night was enought.

This tradition (dated?) hotel is well kept, has a friendly staff, a conveniently located car park and a good location in the city center. All in all not a bad place to stay at when in Gniezno. Also the in house restaurants serve very decent local and international dishes.

Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Rooms are old fashioned but very clean. Restaurant very nice and breakfast delicious. Sauna is a good bonus. The only one problem we had it was a weak wi-fi. Highly recommended.
