Five minutes from the hotel is the central city square. Good tram connections throughout the city. Delicious European breakfast, restful sleep, very neat and clean. The staff is fluent in English. Car parking is just around the corner, but pay better for parking just at the hotel, because it's cheaper.
Lovely little place, clean and warm - perfect for a short weekend break. Less than 30 min taxi ride from the airport. Central location and walking distance to the old town, nice and helpful staff at reception desk (they spoke good English). Perfect for a couple but we’ve also seen families with small kids. Fantastic breakfast with variety of food. The only thing, try to ask for a room that’s not facing the main street as it is very noisy. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay.
I didn't realise that this was a "hostel" and was a bit apprehensive but I was actually amazed. The place is utterly spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location is excellent. This place was genuinely more comfortable and cleaner than most hotels I have stayed in
Just stayed for 4 nights. As per previous reviews this is not a hostel. I would have given it a possible 3* hotel but the fact there were only 2 small towels for two of us for 4 days that weren’t replaced and no clothes hangers in small wardrobe are the reasons for a lower marking. I guess we could have asked but not sure what the response would have been as friends in another room reported a broken toilet seat on arrival but nothing was done. That said the hotel is very clean, comfortable beds, air conditioning and good size modern shower room. Breakfast is excellent, good choice of food and plenty of it. Some maintenance work was being done in rooms nearby and the bar area so some minor disturbance but not a problem. Would have been nice to try the bar. Good value for money and would definitely recommend. …
Visited here for mini break after draining Christmas Don’t be fooled by the name hostel as it’s NOT better than most hotels I’ve stayed in to be fair. Staff are a credit to the hostel / hotel and couldn’t help you more as with all polish people I’ve came in contact with. Very nice and polite. The location is good within five minutes walk from old town and plenty of shops and a few bars within throwing distance. There’s a little bar called flaszka which adjoins the the place with a good lad running it prices are right 7zlt a pint which is half you’ll pay in old town and a nice place to put your feet up after a Tiring day doing tourist stuff. Around the corner you have craft beer bar with good selection of brews And plenty of places to eat included polish , indian , kebabs , Mexican , chicken etc Within 3 minutes walk your within the nightclub area not for me but if that’s what you it’s just up the road All in all I’m giving it five stars because I believe it’s location staff and quality of accommodation and value for money ticks all the boxes Would I use absolutely and will in the near future Thanks five stars and there staff …
Good clean hostel short walk to the city and trams close by to travel further afield. Helpful and pleasant staff. We stayed 5 nights on the 3rd floor and then 2 nights in the apartment on the ground floor and no problems with either. It is close to the road with trams going past we didn't find it a problem but if you're a very light sleeoer earplugs might be a solution. We only had breakfast in the hotel on our last morning as we were being collected at 9am but at around £4 it was really good value with lots of choice. Worth looking down into the cellars at the original brickwork even if you're not having breakfast the original building was a hospital and pharmacy as the plaque in reception shows.
highly recommend this hotel, does what it says on the tin, pictures match the situation on arrival. 5 min walk into center. nice little bar next door. Doughnut shop down the road was fantastic. Kebab shop over the road for a late night snack to soak up the top polish beer was another great find.
Spotlessly clean. Room, although not big, is cozy and has large bathroom. Wooden decorations give warm feel. Trams start running really early just in front of the building. Bed a bit too soft, but it may be pretty personal.
Although the hotel doesn't have a fancy facade, but it is quite different from the inside. Perfectly located in a relatively calm area, it is close to shops, markets, with about 5 minutes walk from city center. All main attractions are around this hotel, even night life. Staff were very courteous, helpful and polite. Wifi available free. Rooms were perfectly sized, clean, furnished with old wood furniture, very nice idea when we are getting used to modern furniture these days... Toilet is very clean, equipped with all what is needed. Breakfast is very nice as well, served in a kind of renewed world war 2 underground bunker (which is fantastic). Variety of food, quality as well, were magnificent. Highly recommended!
