Don't be fooled by its classic hotel appearance. It is actually a very poorly run old hotel, no more. Without staff or maintenance, the service and condition is more than poor. Broken and dirty upholstery, burned out light bulbs, half unhooked curtains… (see photos). Still plastic curtains in the shower, seriously? As of mid-afternoon, the only remaining service personnel in the entire hotel are the receptionist and a doorman, who have neither access nor knowledge to solve absolutely anything. I arrived at the hotel at midnight and found that I had no towels in my room. It didn't seem like it was a major inconvenience. I called the front desk and they said they would bring them to my room. After a few minutes, surprised by the wait, I called again and they told me that it would take 15 more minutes because they had to go to look for them at another hotel! The receptionist had no way of providing me with a couple of towels from her own hotel! And what was she waiting to tell me? The next day I found out that the same hotel chain runs two hotels that are just 200 meters from it. Where did they go to get the towels, then? They didn't want to tell me. Over 20 minutes after ordering, the towels arrived: old, frayed and dirty. The photos speak volumes. I made the receptionist see the condition of the towels, so I assumed that the next day they would be exchanged without fail for some minimally presentable towels. The next morning I went to visit the city. When I returned in the afternoon, the room was unmade and the old dirty towels were still there. When asking why, the receptionist tells me that they only have room service for stays longer than 3 nights. Do they notify it when making the reservation? No. At check-in? Either. It is said in an ad attached to the counter… along with 4 other ads. And the towels? Again we have to go find them to another hotel and again I have to wait. This time, at least, the towels they brought were clean. I decide to cancel the third night that I had booked through hotels.com. The receptionist had to speak to the manager on the phone and she would contact me with the answer immediately. After 15 minutes, there is no answer. So I have to go downstairs again to ask and she tells me that has spoken with the manager (What were she waiting to tell me, once again?) and he has said they can't do it and I have to be the one to manage it with hotels.com. Really? When I finally make the payment (I couldn't do it when I arrived because this service is not available from mid-afternoon either) and I ask for the invoice, the receptionist tells me that she is not sure if she can invoice me for having booked through hotels.com. What? Predictably, he couldn't make me the invoice at the time either: I had to wait until the next morning to get it at check-out. The service was absurd, incomprehensible and of the lowest quality. This hotel is not worth what it costs in any way.…
I have stayed at the "Europejski" before and it has been very satisfactory. This time there were noisy people on the same floor so it was impossible to sleep. I asked for a room change twice but without result, and even tried sleeping on the floor in the corridor on another floor. The hotel have so far not replied to my e-mails asking for an apology and a full refund. Totally unacceptable customer service
This place is so perfect to walk around Wroclaw. Not far from the tourist bus station (it's located underground a pretty big mall) and in a walk distance from the pretty ton center. My room was very clean and it had an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
For the money we paid this hotel was fine. It's an old hotel about 5 min walk from bus and train station and about 20 to 25 mins from the wonderful Wroclaw town square. This walk would be fine when it is cool it but it was 33C when we were there so it was uncomfortable. Check in was fine and there is a safe for valuables behind the reception desk . There is only 1 lift and it was very slow sometimes. The room was basic no fridge but kettle and tea/coffee. Bathroom was fine and everything was clean. The air con didn't work very well and was pretty useless in the 30C+temperatures but we opened the window too and it wasn't too bad .Nice and quiet at night. The wifi was very fast but on our 2nd night it stopped working. We didn't have breakfast. Hotel seems to have been redecorated in parts recently. The hotel is perfectly fine for a short stay on a budget.…
Whilst this hotel has been refurbished and is clean and smart the bedroom we stayed in lacked the modern amenities. The room was not large and lacked modern amenities. There was no safe, no fridge and the coffee was awful. The breakfast lacked choice and the staff could not cope with demand so there was often empty hot trays.
The hotel appears to be in the process of being refurbished although there doesn't seem to be any disruption to guests. The hotel itself is quite pleasant and warm, the rooms are a reasonable size with comfortable beds,TV, toilet with shower or bath and importantly tea/coffee making facilities, traffic noise was a bit of a problem although we got accustomed to it by the end of the week. The location of the hotel was excellent being 10 minutes walk from the main train/bus hub and also approx; the same to reach the Old Town and shopping centres, there is also a few convenience stores close by We chose to go B&B, but the breakfast wasn't the best if you like a warm breakfast, although there was a good selection of cold items and cake etc. and the coffee was out of a machine , a problem was if you arrived about ½ hour (09.30) before breakfast finished a lot of the items bread/ scrambled egg etc. wasn't topped up so generally none left, The staff all seemed to be quite pleasant and helpful when asked queries and you can leave valuables in the hotel safe until leaving at no cost…
This hotel is a bit of a walk from the centre but it it so close to the main train station, bus station and tram intersection that it’s a great base for exploring the city. The breakfast is still basic but they now use the restaurant Galicja which is a short walk down the street so the evening meals are now wonderful. The cafe that is attached to the hotel is lovely too. Some staff on reception are more helpful than others but the rooms are large and clean. I love this hotel
I arrived at Wrocław late at night. Stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. Stayed at room 409. Pro: The check-in was swift and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. WiFi, free bottled water, water pressure in bathroom OK. The bed and the bathroom seems like the only cleanest thing in the room. Con: the housekeeping...many things. 1) The first experience when entering my single room is it is very dark with two light bulbs broke! 2) The moment I entered the room, there was an overwhelming musty smell; sign of a badly ventilated room. I couldn't sleep well on my first night, it improved when I requested the reception to unlock the window for an hour, even if it is freezing outside. 3) The curtains are also very dusty and looks like it had not been cleaned for ages, I got an itchy eye (now I'm having sty -swellings on my eyelids) from trying to open the window to get more ventilation and lessen that musty smell. 4) The carpet looks old and...moldy from the dampness, which explains the mustiness. I got a habit of taking off my shoes in the bedroom, so it wasn't pleasant experience. While I'm out most of the time, the experience in the room wasn't up to standard and makes me avoid wanting to go back to the room. It's OK the be classic and maintain the style of old times, but please, please, PLEASE don't make the rooms dilapidated with time!! Hygiene is also important too!!…
We chose the Europejski Hotel to stay on our resent fabulous holiday to Wrocław and what a great choice we made. The hotel is charming, the reception area looks elegant and we were checked in by really friendly staff almost immediately ,we were allocated a twin room on the second floor, room 210 ,room was lovely ,nice comfortable beds, light and airy,a flat screen tv,tea and coffee making facilities and a nice bathroom, shower was very powerful and the water lovely and warm, rooms cleaned daily by very pleasant staff and a nice bottle of sparkling water each left daily which was most appreciated. The breakfast was also delicious, a good choice of hot and cold offerings, cakes and biscuits and also lots of drink options, the juice was absolutely thirst quenching and the flavoured tea superb, the coffee was fresh and really good,I couldn't fault the breakfast in any way. The bar in the hotel is also very good ,the staff are so pleasant and made our stay in this hotel memorable, it's location is 5 minutes from the main train station and it's not to far from the magnificent Old Town. When I return to Wrocław on my next holiday to this lovely city I will most certainly stay in this hotel again.…
We stayed here as it is close to the train station and town centre and while the room was clean and comfortable (despite a blockage in the shower) the staff on reception were terrible - very rude & unhelpful and it really ruined the stay. The breakfast was below par, too - stale bread and days old salads
