This was my second visit to this hotel. I was tempted to go elsewhere as I like to have a swimming pool in the hotel but when I remembered the wonderful way they had treated me during my last stay, I knew I had to come back. It's also just round the corner from Easy Waxing where you can get a really quick and efficient bikini wax! Before arriving I was in touch with the hotel about a few things and both Maja and Alexsandra from Guest Relations got back to me promptly and made me feel like a valued guest before I even arrived and this really made a difference to my overall experience. I took a taxi from the airport and was surprised to find 80 PLN on the meter when it should have been about 50 PLN so I advise using the hotel taxi service which is 65 PLN so you don't get ripped off. To go around town it's about 20-30 PLN depending on the distance but you can easily walk to the old town centre. I checked in with Przemek and when he told me that as a gold Accor member I'd been upgraded from a Prestige Suite to their Opera Suite, I was jumping for joy. When I got to my huge suite, I actually gasped when I saw the separate boardroom and was jumping up and down again when I saw the bouquet of flowers on the coffee table in the huge living room along with a whole box of delicious fudge made by the hotel's pastry chef Agata Grodwka who really should start her own business. I had planned to have dinner in the hotel restaurant Pan Tadeusz but unfortunately it was closed due to the coronavirus and lack of guests. There were only 3 other people in the hotel and the streets and shopping centres were almost deserted. I went to the bar which I had entirely to myself. As a gold member I had received a voucher for a free drink and the barman Dominik, who remembered me from my previous visit, made me a delicious vodka and raspberry cocktail. After that I went to the small lobby restaurant for dinner. There was only one other person there so I felt a bit lonely but I was served very nicely by Wojtek. The menu was a bit limited but I had foie gras then an excellent club sandwich with chips. I barely had time to digest my dinner when the hotel informed me that Poland was closing the borders at midnight the following day along with all shops and restaurants including those in hotels except for room service. On the Saturday I managed to get a train to Dresden in Germany with hundreds of other foreigners trying to get out of Poland so I had to cancel the rest of my stay and the hotel very kindly reimbursed me for the remainder of my stay which I really appreciated. Once again, Sofitel is the best!…
This hotel deserves its 5* status. The rooms have every modern comfort you could need. We forgot our plug adapter and reception had a basketful to borrow one. The staff can’t do enough for you. We stayed in a junior suite which was amazing but our friends rooms were lovely too. Wish we could have stayed longer. We didn’t have breakfast as we didn’t book it when we booked the hotel and it was expensive to add on when checking in, so beware. The hotel is 2 mins walk to the main square so fantastic location. My only negative comment is that we stayed Friday and Saturday night with a street facing room and it was noisy but that isn’t the hotels fault. I’d recommend taking earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!
We stayed in Sofitel Wroclaw for 2 nights in July, and found the room and the building very good. We had a room facing the street, but I think rooms viewing the inner courtyard must be the same, as we could only see the building in front of the street from our window. Breakfast buffet was very good, but sometimes they didn't replace the meals so quick as desire. Location in the middle of old town, excellent. All in all a good experience.
My Fiancée and I stayed here for our birthdays. We got an upgraded room with a cute towel animal made on the bed with a party hat on and there was a bottle of prosecco chilling in the room when we got there which was really lovely of the hotel. The bed was so comfortable and we loved the Sauna and Jacuzzi. The hotel was in the perfect position for all the attractions of the old town. On my partners actual birthday there was a knock on the hotel room door and they had made him a cake which was such a lovely thoughtful touch and it really made his birthday. The cake was delicious so big thumbs up to the chef. Thanks so much Sofitel for making our stay in Wroclaw extra special.
Stayed three nights in February 2020. Upon arrival we asked that the aircon be checked as we could not adjust the temperature, we found not only our room but the whole hotel to be far too hot and stuffy. Opening the window made zero difference to the room temperature as our room overlooked the covered inner courtyard. Bed super comfortable and bathroom well equipped. Payment was taken three times in error and whilst this was rectified by the hotel it is not really something that should happen.
