Hotel was very near to main square, just walking distance. Its an old property, but inside the room and bathroom were decent. Room was enough space, and beds were good. Reception was really helpful trying to assist us in everything. Breakfast was a surprise, comparing to the comments which I read before coming. It was really good and rich. No problems with breakfast. The only negative was that the rooms have no A/C. We didnt need it as we opened the windows, but if it was more hot maybe it would be necessary.
The room is really dirty!! In some places blood.. and they can not clean the room. It is the worst hotel I ever see. I guess they never clean rooms. And almost zero reaction from hotel staff. The only one plus of this hotel is location.
Stayed at the Hotel Lothus whilst taking in the excellent Christmas markets Wroclaw has to offer. The hotel is really conveniently located with the main square a gentle amble away and shops/ATMs even closer. The hotel itself is a little tired. The hallways and rooms could do with a freshen up. The room itself was functional without any luxury. The beds were a little noisy and I've slept better in other dwellings. Breakfast was slightly better than average with a good spread catering for most tastes and requirements. I couldn't fault the staff; they were all polite, friendly and attentive. In isolation, Lotus is very much a 3 star venue but when you factor in the sheer value, you can mark it up a point.
The photos on booking.com are much better than the reality. The great feature of this hotel was its closeness to the central square and the delightful Christmas markets. We stayed two nights. The interior is looking a bit tired but could be easily spruced up with some large inexpensive prints in the common areas and in the bedroom to take away the starkness. The breakfast was good to start the day. I would try a different hotel next time I visit Wroclaw. Discovering and photographing the gnomes of Wroclaw was so much fun.
recently returned from this hotel, which is perfectly situated for market-5 min walk same for galeria dominikska.reception is clean and airy with excellent staff .our room was adequite for our needs,b/fast was fresh tasty and plenty of it.no bar but plenty nearby.a lick of paint would be helpful and rate it 4*would we return definitely yes
Plus for the location (500m). Looks like renovated in the 1990s.. nice from the outside but interior needs some renovation.. The room was clean. TV channels basic.. tried some foreign ones but there was no signal. Internet was rather slow. Breakfast was ok with plenty of food to pick from. The water in the breakfast room was not boiling hot at 7am.
We recently stayed here for 3 nights on our 3rd visit to Wroclaw. For the money we paid this place is extremely good value. Yes it’s basic but it has everything you need. The rooms are of adequate size and clean. The beds in a twin room are singles and comfy. The bathroom was tidy clean and looked brand new. Breakfast in the morning was more than adequate, a few hot plates, meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit, breads...more than enough to accommodate everyone’s taste to give you that early morning fill to start the day. The reception staff were great, helpful and always friendly. Having been to Wroclaw a few times we have a good idea on location and this place was spot on. A gentle stroll to the Majn Square where from there everything is a few mins walk re bars and restaurants. This place gets a raw deal in my opinion based on some of the reviews. I’m reviewing the hotel on all of the above based on what we paid and without question I’d stay here again. It’s not a 5* or a 4* but you can see that by what they are charging to accommodate people. We were talking to a group of Irish girls and they also really enjoyed their stay stating the value for money. Very happy with The Hotel Lothus and wouldn’t hesitate staying here again if we can secure it at a similar prices. …
Our room was clean, the shower door was broken and I felt I was going to fall through the base, the breakfast restaurant smells a little and the breakfast is not very good (in particular the watered down pure orange jucie. After the first day we went out for breakfast, lots of restaurants just down the street. Loved Wroclaw not this hotel !
Nice staff. Room was clean, tidy. Bed comfy. Bathroom ok. TV in room. Water bottles provided daily. Very close to old town. 5 mins to market square. 15 min walk to train station . Bit noisy on the street and echoes in the corridor Breakfast of cold polish food and breads. Overall a good hotel for a cheap price
Stayed here for a weekend with friends, we had 2 rooms. Rooms are very basic and very noisy as we had a street view room. Breakfast room is too small and we had to wait as there were no free tables. We ended up using a table that was meant for 2 and found 2 extra chairs to make it a table for 4. Reception staff were friendly and the rooms were clean although had quite a strong smell. We only use the room to sleep and shower so it was ok for us, but if you’re looking for a romantic weekend away, then look elsewhere.
