A group of old friends and I spend a week in Szklarska Poreba for our winter vacation. The villa is only 10 min walk to the train station which serves the cross county skiing area. There is no public transport to the several downhill skiing areas, but taxis are cheap. The Villa is a B&B with a wonderful breakfast buffe. It will satisfy even the most hungry person. The Villa is nice and clean and the rooms are large and comfortable. The hostess speaks only Polish, but I used Google Translate for all communication. Not a problem at all and actually funny. By the way, the WiFi was fast and the service uninterrupted during our stay. Szklarska Poreba is also a fantastic place for summer vacation.

Only 4 stars but place is really nice, clean and worth recommending. The reasons for 4 stars are : no drying place for skiing boots ( essential during winter if you enjoy slopes ) breakfast option not good enough. There is kitchen on side so you can make breakfast yourself if you like. Nice surroundings ( trees and view on mountains ) and about 10 min away from city centre via shortcut ( watch for the uphill climb on the way back, it really test your condition :)). If you lucky enough you will see some wildlife. will definitely stay again when back.
