Virgin nature, fresh open air, majestic mountains and an overall atmosphere of inspiration - these are the reasons one chooses to frequent our exceptional apartments in Szklarska Poręba. The Norwegian Valley consists of seven exclusive villas, each with a name alluding to the phenomenon of the Valley of Seven Houses - that is, that part of Szklarska Poręba which has become renowned for its artistic milieu. Artists have tended to frequent the area since the end of the 19th century, and their presence has significantly contributed to the development of the city and its unique vibe. Each villa of the Norwegian Valley has its particular character and accentuating traits. All were designed in a traditional Norwegian architectural style and constructed with materials of the highest quality, favoring natural materials, eco-friendly solutions and energy efficiency

We spent one night in a Junior Suite at Norweska Dolina Luxury Resort in July 2022. The apartment was neat and stylish, though it had no air conditioning. The surroundings were nice as well, especially the facades of the buildings. The playroom/miniclub for children was rather average. Breakfast and dinner were quite good with a decent selection of dishes (though it didn't blow our minds). However, we got upset by the fact that they charged us 150 PLN per day for the parking (just because we booked our stay through booking.com) compared to just 30 PLN for guests who booked their stay through their website, which is absurd. We paid a relatively low price for the apartment itself, but the information about the parking fee was only highlighted in the amenities section of the booking.com page so may be easily overlooked. I wouldn't consider it best practice and it has left a poor impression on us.

I come from Czech Republic my my brother to spent one night of relax but was a nightmare. I had a miserable end to my stay at the hotel When I went to have a shower in the evening, I was greeted to freezing cold water in the hot water faucet, and exactly the same in the shower. Not taking a shower was not an option, so I had the most miserable shower, complete with uncontrollable shivering and chattering teeth, it really was that cold! Before check out I mentioned the issue at Reception and they send the tecnik to solve the problem but was too late. At the same time on Saturday night in our building a group of young people make noise till 01.30 so we sleep just few hours. So we come from Prague for relaxing one day but we return more tired then before. I wrote an email and nor were any apologies made to us by the structure, unacceptable.

We spent there 7 nights and it was gorgeous holiday. It is reallly nice holiday resort with good idea in style Vikings. The room was big with all necessary housing equipment. Food in restaurant was tasty but it could be more food for choice, esp. hot meals. There is also nice playroom for children, they love it. Good for children was downhill Dolinie Szczęścia with nice young instructors.

This not a hotel but resort. Now I know what it means – no service! Google found the resort easy but when you cross the gate there is no signs. To find out where the reception is you have to go and ask. In reception when you check in you are told that there is an allowance for two keys only for 4-person apartment so be ready to spend time together and coordinate. Since it is a ski season, I asked for snow condition and the receptionist had no clue and didn’t really care or even offer to find out. When I asked for transportation from the resort to the ski slope there is none. Call taxi! In the apartment the TV was completely disconnected and nothing worked. Remote control felled apart. It is not even smart tv and doesn’t connect to internet. Apartment is sold for 4 people plus but closet space is for maximum of two people. There is no ethernet port so you can’t run your own router using internet connection provided. There is no safety deposit box. There is no ice maker and there is no phone in the room. The apartment was not prepared for our arrival. We had to connect all the wires. Walls are thin so if any of your neighbors has a party or runs a washing machine you will know it. Food at the dinner is a buffet style with polish cuisine selection, nothing fancy but tasty, expect to gain weight. Dinner time is short and fixed and breakfast opens at 8 so only ½ hr before ski lift! so if you want to start early you have to skip breakfast. During holidays lines to get a ticket form early. This is not a accommodation for skiers. Swimming pool opens at 10am so no morning swimming. There is steam room which heats up other facilities like sauna have always been cold including jacuzzi! There are showers for cold/hot treatment but come without instructions. There is no spa as well so no massage! The pool is outside of the accommodation so you have to not only dress up and go there through the wintery outdoors and you have to book your time as well. Good thing about it is that they don’t use chlorine. Co-ed locker is a novelty for me as well. Place is small without any signs and information; you have to ask fellow users how to go around things. In general management hasn’t made it convenient for the user. There was a lot of first time for me during this stay when customer service is concerned. Owners have absolutely no clue how to run the tourist facility with service. From the walking around the town, I can see more facilities are getting ready to open and there will be competition. Stay away!

Response from Piotr Kubiński, General Manager at Norweska Dolina
Responded Feb 9, 2022
Still here (only just). We booked the only one “penthouse” (according to the website) but find ourselves not in the penthouse but close to it. Still we paid a penthouse price. The receptionists are not helpful (and not that friendly either). We came for, amongst other things, the mountain air, so it is a big surprise to find yourself in an apartment where none of the windows open! It’s all a bit crap considering the price. When you pay so much you expect that attention is paid to the little details.

We spent there our every winter holiday since 2017 and first time summer holiday in 2020. The only way to describe this holidays is PERFECTLY SPOILED😍 Professionalism of crew and all amenities will make you feel spoiled😁 Taking into account breakfast included in the price, guaranteed parking, short distance to town center, swimming pool price is very resonable. We will be definitely back. We definitely can recommend this place for families and friends. ENJOY😊

The buildings and rooms are very nice, clean and modern. Great atmosphere, nice surroundings and very nice and helpful staff. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. We had the Christmas package including Christmas dinner, which was awful. Definetely does not match a 5 star resort. You get better food in a bistro or a diner. This is the main reason why I give it 3 out of 5. Since it's a 5 star resort, I expected more from the restaurant.

I have to say that Norweska Dolina is a really beautiful place. Placed outside of the crowdy and noisy Center of Szklarska Poreba. Houses looks really like from Norwegian coast. The breakfasts are ok, swimming pool a bit small but i was able to find time when there was nobody swimming during a summer long weekend. I had a feeling that is highly recommended for families with kids. The entertainment center is really nice. Wojciech
