Awesome little hotel - staff was very friendly, rooms and bathroom were very clean and cleaned daily even though I did not hung "Please clean my room tag" on the door. It has nice pool downstairs which my kids absolutely loved. Breakfasts were very good - buffet with lots of choices for everyone. I stayed in an "Apartament" room - had a large bedroom with two beds and one additional room with a couch, TV, work desk and small refregerator. Bathroom was quite large for hotel standards with two sinks.

Location is in the upper part of the city, close to hiking trails and cable car to Sniezka.

We selected this hotel for our winter holiday due to the location which is 50m from the ski lift. The hotel is well decorated, rooms are relatively modern and well equipped (we even had a safe deposit box!). Staff is nice and friendly and the food most of the time was excellent (some days it was average but still ok). Every day we used spa and swimming pool and it was lots of fun and in most cases we were alone there. I would only wish the water in the swimming pool was a few degrees warmer! The hotel has its storage room for Ski equipment which has a separate convenient entrance. Car park and wi-fi are available and for free although at times car park was rather full.

Came all the way from Australia and decided to stay in this hotel over the Christmas period. Generally very pleased with the quality of service, rooms and selection of food for breakfast and dinner. We received a very warm welcome and for our entire stay the hotel created a great Christmas atmosphere.

However one down side was the manners (or lack thereof) of one of the staff members from the spa. This man (blonde guy, name was Tomasz) was very rude from the moment we arrived. Massages were included in our Christmas package and when we went to book them we were greeted with a very unpleasant attitude from this staff member. It seemed as if he was trying to avoid all questions, trying to do as little work as possible and shockingly, rolling his eyes whenever we asked/said something he couldn't be bothered responding too. This wasn't a one time thing either, we had three encounters with this staff member and each one was just as unpleasant as the other. This is my only complaint about this hotel because otherwise our stay was great.

I have given this review an Average rating purely based on the needs of our group and the issues we encountered.

We reserved four rooms for three nights. Unfortunately for consecutive nights the hotel was not able to offer rooms close together and we were on different floors. Two members of our family group are in their 90,s and required rooms close to a lift ideally without stairs. This request was accommodated but meant different floors which was somewhat inconvenient but not really an issue.

Rooms were modern, clean and spacious, likewise with the bathrooms. Bathrobes were provided, together with separate pool towels. Rooms also had a refrigerator, complimentary water and a safe.
Key cards have to be placed into the slot for power when you enter the room, therefore I recommend to ask for two in order to leave one inserted especially if you are trying to charge an electronic device of some sort.

The restaurant was fine and we elected to have the set dinner menu, however choices are usually selected during breakfast service but since we had arrived only that afternoon our options were limited. The meal consisted of soup, salad from the salad bar, main course and desert and we had no complaints with the quality or service.
Breakfast was also perfectly satisfactory with a good selection of hot and cold options.

There is a general lack of a communal seating area which would have been nice for our group of five especially to sit and talk for awhile after dinner.
There is bar area in the main lobby/reception area with limited seating. If I remember correctly only two sofa sets and bar stools. The location is not ideal as every time the main entrance door was opened there was a very cold draft.
There was some sort of of built in fireplace around the bar but when I asked for it to be lit I was told that the season for lighting fires was over.

The downstairs pool and sauna area was nice. We did not use any of the Spa services so cannot comment.

Hotel is located in the upper part of the Town with ample complimentary parking, and a wi-fi connection was available throughout the Hotel.

Our major complaint was with the Hotel,s heating system. This would appear to be controlled automatically from the front desk, and all separate valves have been removed from the radiators and nothing could be controlled manually.
This was especially annoying as we were not able to even dry towels despite there being a heated towel rail in the bathroom.
The heating system proved to be a problem especially for the elderly members of our group.
We enquired multiple times to have it turned on but were told that this was not possible due to it only being activated when there was sufficient temperature difference between outside and in. Only when the entire system was started could anything be adjusted. It did not seem to be possible to override this procedure.
The heating did come on very briefly during our first night, but it did not get warm enough to make a difference as it turned itself off again when the required comparable temperature outside and in was reached.
We asked for a free standing heater and were told that they had only one which had been allocated to a family with a baby, and that only if they were prepared to relinquish this could we use it. They do not apparently carry additional heaters for health and safety reasons.

The staff were very uninterested and offhand to our concerns regarding the heating complaint and were unable to offer a compromise, hence we elected to leave after only one night and seek alternate accommodation.
This was not a language issue as we had native Polish speakers in our group.
We were offered a small discount for our inconvenience.
We were given to understand that this type of heating system is common in that region and that many hotels operate with the same system.

I cannot say that the hotel itself was poor as overall it was not. It seems relatively new or at least newly refurbished and therefore clean and comfortable, and had we not have had elderly people with us who very much felt the cold, we likely would have stayed to avoid the time and inconvenience of looking for alternative accommodation, but on this occasion it simply did not suit our needs.

The hotel was when I stayed there, almost completely new from a refurbishment.

The rooms are spacious, well decorated and were nothing short of luxurious with bathrooms to go with it.

There is a pleasant bar which is not unreasonably priced and the restaurant services a very comprehensive breakfast.

The spa is excellent with a wide range of packages at very good prices. I would recommend booking in advance to get a time slot that works for you.

There is ample car parking, but if you are visiting the town itself then you will need a car as it is a couple of kilometres uphill from the town. However, it is a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the cable car to start the journey to the ski slopes.

Please note that the reception staff speak almost no English at all.

Very good service, always nice and keen to fulfill guests requests. I really felt they care about me. Good food. In 2014 the hotel looks like new, built with high standard.

Dinner is soup, main course and dessert. During breakfast you choose main course from 3 options, there is always 1 vegetarian, but usually it's less attractive.

One disadvantage is that when you enter the room, you need to insert the card in the slot for power, and when the power is on, TV turns on automatically on "Greno TV" - really annoying.

What I liked is the card to open room. It can be programmed to open more than one room - very convenient when your family is splitter in two rooms.

Another nice thing is safe in the room, without additional cost. I don't think my laptop or camera would be stolen without it, but I feel better when I leave the room with my equipment locked in a safe place.

There is a special room for skis, ski boots etc. Ski boots can be left on a special hanger, with small pipes pumping the air into the boots. For drying and "refreshing". Exit from the room is right on the road to the slope - about 100m walk.

Have just stayed at the Greno Hotel and was very pleased. The room was immaculately clean and the suite that we were in was large and comfortable. The bathroom was big and had all the usual ammendities that you'd expect.
Breakfast was good but by far and away, the best part was dinner. The restaurant was amazing and the food was superb, easily as good as some much pricier restaurants back home.
The staff were very friendly and would try their best to help you.
The only thing that they could improve on is to add air conditioning in the bedrooms. The lobby etc seemed to have it but it would have been nice in the bedroom too.
Having said that, this is a great hotel and you shouldn't think twice about booking it. We would definitely stay here again.
